New Vegas is my absolute fav I'm torn on FO4, though. I think it was visually beautiful but the narrative was so half-baked as to be useless. Still, I liked the world itself enough to play through once and might get the DLCs when I have some extra cash. But no one can steal my heart like the Mojave did

Played 3, NV and 4. Been meaning to do 1 and 2 but haven't gotten too it yet (and my pc is an old piece of crap.) I've enjoyed all them, but would have to say that 3 kind of bores me now. New vegas just has more to offer for me with the story and setting and characters (and killing Legionaries never seems to get old.) I never tire of wandering the radiated desert and stirring up trouble with my snarky companions or playing the dlcs -- just not Dead Money. I also really like 4. Some settlement frustrations aside, the exploration and detail is more vast than in 3 and NV, the companions are less background static (not that Fallout is known for character development) and I'm immensely happy that I can cancel poorly-planned VATS shots now. The story isn't perfect but I don't have any real issue with it, even if it's a tad predictable. One of the things I really didn't like (aside from wonky dialogue setup) is how strict they were with the factions. In NV I could coast along the edges if I wanted to up until the end. They also lock Danse' content by faction, which is frustrating. I also don't like how romancable companions keep trying to hit me up after I've already said "No." But perhaps best of all, Fallout 4 has Deacon.

I love to hate the Legion; getting the Legion ending for the accomplishment caused me pain. I completely agree with you on "Dead Money," too. I've abandoned a few playthroughs because I started that DLC and didn't want the tedium of finishing it (the ending doesn't seem to be worth the trouble). The other DLCs are great, particularly "Old World Blues" which would likely be on a personal list of favourite DLCs.

The other DLCs are great, particularly "Old World Blues" which would likely be on a personal list of favourite DLCs. I've never sided with the Legion. I did all endings but that one. I did watch it because I was curious. No thanks. XD I can live without that achievement... Hating them is just part of the fun of the game. "Give me cause, profligate." Oh, Dead Money. I like the idea, I guess, just not the gameplay. I've only played it twice -- the first time I had already been told it wasn't that good but wanted to see for myself. Yep. A nightmare. And then recently I was playing NV again and thought "Ok, Dead Money can't be as bad as I remember" no, it was much worse. I have no desire to play it again -- and I'm someone who greatly favors sneaking around. Old World Blues is my NV favorite too -- it's especially fun with the Wacky Wasteland perk. Aside from the humorous characters and dialogue, it has a good amount of content and exploration for a dlc.

I think Fallout 3 is better than New Vegas. Better world. Better atmosphere. Better music. Better missions.
I'm one of those people, I know.

Due to the Courier's intervention, Chief Hanlon abandoned his plan to sabotage the defense of Hoover Dam. The rangers heroically assisted NCR's troopers in their ill-fated defense against the overwhelming power of Caesar's Legion. Though many NCR military officers fled the territory soon after the dam was lost, Chief Hanlon remained at Camp Golf to surrender to the Legion. Out of respect for Hanlon's composure and worth as an adversary, Caesar had him beheaded-Chief Hanlon ending if the chief was convinced to stop falsifying records, complete Veni, Vidi, Vici, do not allow Caesar to die in Et Tumor, Brute?.

Started FO4 twice cannot get into it. Overall I like the FO games a fair bit but the issues that bug me remain as a staple through all games. I loath their mapping. Always have, always will.

I'm sad Deacon wasn't romance as well. First I thought I wouldn't like him, but he ended being one of my favorites. If not the favorite. Interesting character for sure.. and he totally fooled me few times with his "reset code" etc. I'm quite content with Preston as romance too- yeah one of few who actually like the guy- but Deacon would have been superb. On topic of Hancock- well I like most of the things about the guy, but I can't quite stomach his drug use and how lot he talks about it. Fanart of him being high is not really helping with that either. But outside of that he's cool guy.

Fallout 4 can be surmised with this simple meme. I want something like that in Andromeda. Just picture all the memes would appear with Preston and "Another colony needs your help" Andromeda guy fighting.

My favourite parts in New Vegas (so far) are the times when I beat all of Benny's goons to death with a snooker cue and when helped launched the ghouls' rocket (in my headcanon they reached Jupiter), though the quest itself was a bit of a drag.

Does anyone else shoot the Legion's victims on the crosses in New Vegas? I always felt bad for them so I put them out of their misery. Sometimes out of mercy, sure. I'm more likely to end a Powder Ganger on a cross, though, because many (most) of my characters have been unwilling to suffer their continued existence. What can I say, I like being the "Powder Ganger's grim fucking reaper."

3 started really well but the story sucked and the world was boring other than seeing the actual historical sites. The gameplay eventually got boring. New Vegas was awesome and I love Yes Man. I played the first Fallout and had fun, but didn't see it as amazing. Maybe I just can't appreciate what it was at the time. I'd understand if a fan made that claim.

... I will forever regret that Deacon wasn't romanceable. Forever. He was my first choice---and then no flirt options. Whhyyyy? Maybe we should make a Deacon support thread. His friendship is still pretty warm and fuzzy cool, though, and he's my favorite companion. His numerous outfits never cease to amaze me.
Here's more Deacon: Fallout 4 had the best video game romance I've ever experienced. I thought I was the only one fangirling with this pal!! Not the only one, no. I ended up going for him (and MacCready) after Deacon was a no-go. Fanart of him being high is not really helping with that either. But outside of that he's cool guy. Heh. I like Preston too. I thought his romance was very sweet -- even if his "What do ya' need, babe?" makes me laugh. Despite Hancock's drug use, I actually got along really well with him. He's one of those companions where I didn't have to really try to get his perk. I like that he's kind of... aggressively compassionate. ;D Does anyone else shoot the Legion's victims on the crosses in New Vegas? I always felt bad for them so I put them out of their misery. No, I don't. I like to storm in with Boone, clear out the camp, and then free the hostages. Yeah, just realized you weren't talking about Nelson quest. Pardon my dumb.

I liked sneaking into the cages and stealing money from them. If I am not mistaken, you can also get your guns back. That said, there are some ridiculous "holdout weapons," at least with Improved. These include the sawed off shotgun, power fists, and even the explosive implanting ballistic fist.

WHY NO, WHYYYY???? (along with Nick Valentine, DAMN IT!!) I think all the romances were pretty good. I have a soft spot for Piper calling the PC "Blue" But Hancock is my favourite. As you says, his "aggresively compassionate" nature is veeery appealing. Killing bad people, caring for the misfits and good people. My kind of brand. Also his voice and he is dressed like a freaking PIRATE! (sorry, USA people, but for foreigners he looks like a pirate, not like John Hancock whoever he was )BONUS TRACK: EDIT: BONUS TRACK 2
