Just wondering this. Anyone know will we have to choose the sex of our Ryder before we get into character creator or after? I liked the way Fallout 4 did this. You got to just build both and then choose the one you liked to play as.
Also any word on if we will get a look at the character creator soon? I just want to see the hair and beard options.

I am pretty sure they said you can generate the appearance of both characters since they both appear in the game. I am pretty sure it will be about a week before we get to see the character creator with EA/Origin Access programs giving the 10 hour trial.

Unfortunately, even if what you say happens to be true, rarely is any footage shown at PAX (East or Prime) actually revealed to the outside world. It won't exactly be helpful if only a few hundred folks see this new footage. Hopefully, BioWare will just do a video on CC like they've done on combat, progression, and exploration. |

Rarely do AAA titles release 2 weeks after PAX East. Bioware needs to go huge there to market ME:A. Considering everything about BioWare's marketing campaign has been entirely new with MEA, I'm not going to expect anything unless they explicitly tell us. Since we are still two weeks out, I suspect we'll probably get two more videos, irrespective of PAX East. We still have one more Andromeda Initiative Briefing, so who knows what that could be. It's also possible IGN could do more videos. |

That wasn't what I took away from those statements. I think the father will be based solely on the PC, and the sibling will be based on that but fully customizable.
How would it work to have two independent designs contribute to a third? Average them?

That's how it worked in fallout 4 I believe. You customised both parents, decided which one to play and then your kid used parts from both.
It doesn't make as much sense to do a parent that way though? But that was how I thought it was going to work from what I'd read.

Well, I could certainly be wrong. But since (very minor spoiler).. ... the sibling isn't awakened and remains concealed in the stasis pod for the duration of the prologue ... my best guess is that they're handling the sibling the way they handled Hawke. |

Ok just a note here. The 13 min opening completely skipped the CC. So just because we don't see Sarah dose not mean that you wait to create her. I think it would actually be dumb to not just do both right off the bat.

I liked that feature in FallOut 4. I'm going to mostly play as FemRyder, so I don't need it to switch/decide. I do like the thought of having the two Ryders on the screen at the same time. It would be very helpful in making them look related.
