Need to see more and hear their story, but they all seemed rather lacklustre and same-y to me. Definitely not 'alien' enough. It's like the DAI zones are much more more varied (but then again - I need to look closer first).

I remember seeing an outpost on habitat 7, in E3-16 trailer?
45 sec A small flick of it in the E3-15 trailer
32 sec unless it's actually habitat 4?

Habitat 2 looks very "poetic" indeed, but seems more like a place where you build japanese styled temples instead of actually living there.

For the aesthetics I love Habitat 2 and that is what I voted for but I was intrigued by the comments in the video about Habitat 5.
I wonder if there is going to be any story twists where we can claim Habitat 5 for the Humans and damn anyone else of can we decide to go for the greater good and choose to pass it over for the Turians and Qurians. Can't wait to get myself to Andromeda.

I picked 5. The dextro friendly planet looks truly alien. The last truly alien world in the trilogy was Ilos.

Habitat 1 looks like Moab. So, of those options, I'd pick that one. But like several others on this thread, I too would like a cold, mountainous planet with vast glaciers, icefalls/seracs, and lots of snow.

That's actually really tough. I found the images we got of each planet to be really breathtaking.
I'd say anything that isn't desert, personally, is my favorite. Not that I hate desert levels, but that gets boring after awhile. I like seeing lots of color.

Habitat 6 looked incredible. I love oceans and beaches. There's also just enough trees and shade that it looks so calm and peaceful. Perfect hammock planet.

With a game where there is no on or under water gameplay, those two are basically the same... you have places where the player can go (hills, caves, beaches, frozen plains, etc.) and places they can't (deep water, icy cliffs, steep mountains, etc.). The rest is just cosmetics and one or two environmental hazards.

I guess I just meant that, since I never expected a true water-based planet with water-related mechanics to appear, it would probably be a base on an ocean planet, or something like Leviathan, where it's a very linear and focused story mission, while an ice planet would be more like a fully open environment like we're used to. I'd enjoy a water planet though. A swimming Nomad. Sounds super fucking cool. Imagine the sea creatures. Gets me excited, tbh. The ocean is like space, but honestly a lot scarier. At least imho.

Yup, it sure would be cool... and yes, the deep sea is basically anathema to space. It's the opposite of empty and weightless, the mere surroundings will crush you, you can't see far without a light source, and basically everything might want to eat you. I always have to think back to stuff like the underwater scene in Star Wars EP1... good scene, excluding JarJar. Pity it seams to be outside of the scope of ME for now... it could really add to the experience.

Pity it seams to be outside of the scope of ME for now... it could really add to the experience. And you pretty much die instantly in space if anything goes wrong. It could take awhile in the water. Ugh, freaky, haha. While it is a pity, I can see why they wouldn't wanna focus on too many different styles of gameplay. It's always nice to have more, but sometimes it detracts from the main mechanics, and ends up feeling like a gimmick, kinda like the turret section in ME3. Maybe next time they can add more stuff. For now, it seems environmental hazards will be the precursor to something more unique, and while that's not something that changes the gameplay drastically, it does force you to think about how you're interacting with the mechanics that have already been established.

As a Canadian who takes cold showers in the middle of winter. All I can say is most of those looks awful and hot with lots of bugs. Habitat 4 looks the coolest literally. Then 6 and 2. From a pure visual neat look would be habitat one since I want to see the underground rivers and caverns. Voted for 6.
