It'll probably take me over 100 hours. I'm very slow and methodical with these things. Its torture in a way because I can only play about 10 hours a week, so it takes me months to finish a playthrough. I prefer to do a few runs on games like this, but I couldn't stomach it on DAI. Its just too long. I really enjoyed playing two games side-by-side (alternating evenings) which I did with ME2 and DA2. I doubt I'll be able to do that with MEA if its a 100 hour behemoth. But I'm also pathologically unable to resist any side content. I might miss something! Sigh.

Out of curiosity I pulled up my first DAI run. Looks like in my first playthrough I blew off the Fallow Mire, Emerald Graves, Emprise du Lion, and the Hissing Wastes. That's a pretty large percentage of the game. I imagine I'll do the same thing with ME:A.

I'm actually somewhat surprised a majority of voters invest this much time into the experience. Considering most gamers never even finish the main quest line of an open world game, it's rather impressive so many are committed to investing over 100 hours into MEA. Hopefully, the time investment will be duly rewarded!

As long as possible. I always do EVERYTHING before triggering the first mission.
Considering there's MP to split my attention...

Just because you are passionate about BioWare games doesn't mean you'll want to complete everything. Folks buy these games for different reasons. Either way, I'm glad I'm not the only one planning to spend a ridiculous amount of time in this game.

They want ME so bad that if you gave them a 300 hour option they'd take it. I don't have another 100+ hour experience like DAI in me. I'll probably clock mine in around 40-50hrs and spend the rest of my time on the game woopin' ass with pals in MP. I'm buying the game mainly for the MP and plan on using the SP as a reprieve when I feel like going Office Space on my rig.

SP is why I buy BioWare games, so that's where I'll spend most of my time. I'll jump into the MP eventually, but if it's essentially ME3 MP all over again, I won't play it for long. I found it repetitive and the cash shop was a turnoff.

I found it repetitive and the cash shop was a turnoff. I could see a lot of people bailing on some of the peripheral content if its really as big as it claims. I saw one article where the player thought she was like a minute of game travel away from something, drove a minute, checked the map again and saw she had barely even moved on the map. To some, that scale might be radical and awesome. To me, and I know others that have this opinion, they go "Oh fuck that" because of much its going to feel like time wasting as you travel. One of the biggest gripes I had with DAI is how they bragged about 100+ hour game times. And that was true, but largely because I probably spent at least 70 running from A to B and having to deal with trash mobs annoying me.

One of the biggest gripes I had with DAI is how they bragged about 100+ hour game times. And that was true, but largely because I probably spent at least 70 running from A to B and having to deal with trash mobs annoying me. Fair enough. Open world games aren't for everyone. For me, I get excited when I see how large the world is and how much I can explore. I just started playing the new Zelda game and I'm giddy with how large and open the world is. So much to do! I'm not in any rush or hurry to complete the main story for MEA, so I leisurely take my time and just take it all in. There was admittedly a lot of fluff in DAI. Much of the environments were poorly used. The only useful items usually came from dragon fights and occasionally some of the astrarium vaults. Otherwise, DAI just wasted time for the sake of wasting time. I'm hoping MEA really provides a lot of meaningful content to make that time investment worth it.

I never truly 100% finished Inquisition. Which is the only time I've done that in a Bioware game, even when I hated it, like in ME1. (Sidequests were so arrrrrghhhhh!) There were a few areas that I just flat out never even entered.
It was just too big, and the side content was even worse than in previous games.
I know this game is going to be longer than ME1, 2, and 3 (probably put together), but I also hope that I'll actually be wanting to finish the whole thing this time around. 30 hours is really the ideal for games like this, but the huge world makes that impossible, so we'll just have to see if it's worth putting over 100 hours into.
Probably not entirely, but if I can do one 100% playthrough, I'll be happy.

I'm not sure about 100+ but I put down that.
I'll be completionist. Maybe that'll be less than 100, but it'll at least be open to over 100.
Certainly over 50 hours.

Probably 40 - 60 hours first time through. I think i landed on 50 with Inquisition, and i skipped a lot of side content late in the game. A full run through Inquisition now with DLC is usually around 80 hours on Nightmare. I must be slow. I finished everything in DAI after about 120 hours with just the base game. It probably took me around the same amount of time to complete it on my second playthrough with DLC included, as I knew where everything was. If I recall correctly I finished Inquisition in... around 90-110 hours at a guess. It's been so long. I also started a second play through and am about half way. I want to get to the dlc stuff. I think my saves got deleted when my hard drive died and the cloud saves didn't work. So I wanted to do a run from start to finish and then the DLC. Still need to finish that playthrough. Perhaps if this year ever slows down lol. I suspect ME:A will be about as long with side quests to do.

For DAI one of my most recent playthroughs was around ninety five hours or so. That was exploring every area fully and doing all the DLC. I did skip a ton of dialogue though.
For MEA I think a first playthrough (no dialogue skipping!) will probably run me around a hundred hours.

Depends entirely on just how beefy the rest of the game is. It took me in the range of 100 to do absolutely everything in DA:I, and then another 20 for the 3 DLC.

Since I am fickle in game choices, the few games I have are played for years to come. So I tend to de everything. Bioware games give me more then 100+ so I expect MEA to do the same.

Just with multiplayer I should be going over 100 hours. Had over 400 in Mass effect when I checked it at one point. Haven't done so since in order to not get depressed.
