So activating the Meridian will be our main objective in the game, I guess? And something else interesting I saw - "Activate the Remnant City" Since the Remnant seems to be one of the oldest civilizations in Andromeda and they have only left behind their vaults, I guess at some point we'll find an lost Remnant city like an Atlantis for example and we'll activate it. Interesting to see what will happen after that. And take it over making humanity the biggest power out of the Milky way galaxy races

I hope the Meridian isn't a portal back to the Milky Way, as that quest title might imply. The stakes in Andromeda are a lot higher if we're limited to the people and resources we came with and nothing else. Establishing a connection so quickly will cheapen it a lot.

Possibly the meridian is the device (remnant machine maybe?) that gets rid of the energy cloud and makes habitat 7 livable. They call habitat 7 new earth so "home" would make sense.

Honestly it could be as simple as you got cut off from the Nexus so you have to find your way back.

So there's an achievement for "freeing" the salarian ark and one for "rescuing" the asari ark. But nothing for the missing turian ark? I smell a DLC.......... Also, we see achievements for three of the squad loyalty missions: Pee Bee (and her signal), Vetra (and her sister), and Drack (and the krogan colony). So which achievements do we think are for the others? Maybe "Exaltation" for Jaal? And "Building Bridges" for someone? Is Cora's maybe the asari ark one, since she's a former commando? Yeah, I'm getting a heavy DLC vibe from this. Not that I'm necessarily complaining. If the Turians and Quarians get a DLC focusing on them, maybe even with new crew and or squad mates, that would make me happy. They could sell it like a featured expansion (albeit still not exactly as expansive as a boxed expansion pack). -Major story section (bigger than it would have been otherwise) -Quarians get a bigger role than we know they would have gotten otherwise (perhaps even bigger than Krogan in base game?) -Quarian male squadmate? (not Engineer?) -Added aspects to rest of the game; blueprints, upgrades to nexus and its advancement lines, abilities, gear -More gameplay than any previous DLC except maybe Citadel I'd pay $15 for that. Which probably means they'll sell it for $20. Dammit.

Hmm I wonder what Meridian is. There's a quest you can see in the IGN Exploration video called "Meridian: The Way Home". I'm not sure what they would consider 'home' to be, though. It looks like Habitat 7 in the icon. @daveliam the moment I saw the Exaltation achievement, I assumed it might be Jaal's mission because of the option of destroying it or saving the Angara. Sort of like Zaeed's LM. I'm hesitant to believe that because it sounds more like something we'd have to do in the main plot. Like I know we do some drastic things in some loyalty missions in ME2, but none of them had to do with the main enemy faction, suicide mission itself, you know.

Interesting to see what will happen after that. On the upside, that seems to hint something drastic to end up propelling the series further. On the downside, it already screams to me that much of what we do in MEA will be effectively overwritten by how awesome our victory discovery is. Hopefully our actions will affect a lot up to and including that final mission, and maybe certain consequences in DLC. But I doubt this whole journey to colonize will matter much in a longer run. But that's already been predictable. Bioware does not want a ME1-ME2-ME3 or ME2-ME3 'trap' of 'choices mattering' across games. At least not until they're more prepared to address that concept (ME3 bit off more than it could chew).

Jaal and the Kett are tied to a lot of things, so it's hard to say. Like what? Jaal is a rebel, and the Roekaar faction appears to include Angaran, concepts fit together. I would not be surprised if Jaal was Roekaar and they were rebels to the Kett but Jaal throws in his faith in the Initiative, but that's more of a guess. Kett is the central antagonist faction and has our main antagonist (at least as far as we'll allowed to know). The other supposed loyalty missions do not tie into this main plot thrust. Vetra sister. A Krogan ship. A Remnant vault maybe, but as we can see, that's more about a personal rivalry. I think its much more likely that saving Angaran people from the Kett in enough of a way for an achievement, is not something Bioware will relegate to a totally optional mission. But another lesser-important faction with Angaran included? That's like the perfect loyalty mission material. What I'll grant you is that some other things might make this more vague. Asari ark could indeed be either a Cora loyalty mission or a main plot mission; since its a damn ark. Uniting colonists could be anything from a side objective, to a loyalty mission, to an aspect of the main plot. So I'm not writing off your post.

Oh yeah my first thought was Jaal was the one we were tracking with Reyes. I would love that to be true actually, but the amount of things we've gathered and chatted about seems to link him to the Kett in an unexplained way, and someone who played said he'd been touched by the Kett. We also know where his loyalty mission takes place and it's the same planet with that Angara lady in the exploration vid with Scott (same lady Angara is trapped in stasis in the combat vid), who Scott is later yelling at Jaal to get onto the shuttle.

The Initiative, while started by Humanity and put into a position in this plot that seems to emphasis the Humans more than the others, is still more of a shared story than any previous Mass Effect. Humanity's achievements this time seem much more shared from the onset. And there's the chance for stuff like future DLC that puts a lot of 'Human' off any sort of perch. I mean, I can see what you say being the basic understanding at the end of MEA. But at the same time, its not a dominating power and there's opportunity for the writers to tone that down or even flip the script when it comes to Humans. They can have a gist that casual gamers or observers can think is happening, while adding caveats all over the place.

There's a lot of meanings it could imply. It could be just something like allowing us to colonize Habitat 7. It could be a shocking portal to the Milky Way. But I'm going to be safe and say that its just a somewhat open ended access to technology that will allow Habitat to be transformed into something habitable, as well as advance transportation to fasttrack ability to head to Milky Way later on, but in the meantime (DLC, ME5?) at least focus on further exploration of the Andromeda galaxy. Maybe there is something that is 'instantly Milky Way', but I'm going to doubt that it is a huge instant portal for everyone to pop up in Sol.

If the Turian/Quarian Ark turns to be DLC content then I really want them to do it properly. Forget the DLCs and do a legit expansion with connected storyline+sidequests, explorable planet\s (with hub\s) and a quarian squadmate + weapons/armors blueprints. I'd pay 25-30$ for a quality expansion (not DLC).

I'm looking at the achievements again. There was a discussion about the one called "Reboot the Pathfinder" which have another title - "Family Connections".
So I guess it's connected to the "Ryder Family Secrets" or something worse happen with your twin when they're in coma and you need to save them, like your father did, through SAM.

Expect $15 DLCs until the end of time.
