So no armour bonus and gear? WHY Probably because Prestige Bonuses. I guess that makes Prestige Bonuses even less OP since there's no gear now. Curious about the Cryo Ammo next to the Rail Amp. That would seem to indicate that Ammos apply for the duration of the match. I was certain they were consumable items in SP, so either that's wrong, or they just made it work differently in MP. I'm hoping they stay active for the duration of the match, because there are quite a lot of kits who can't self-detonate otherwise. But it's on the Consumables Page. So confusing! They function same as they did in ME3MP. Probably because Prestige Bonuses. I'm bitterly disappointed to see the return of cryo ammo, but I'm not at all surprised. I'm almost certain that it won't offer a damage bonus, again. I suppose I can get over the lack of an armour bonus considering the existence of the prestige bonuses...but still...the armour bonuses were a significant part of what made me3mp good. I think ammo bonuses will work the same way here as they did in me3mp - slap it on and it'll last the whole mission, just one mission. Surely they will stay active for the entire duration of a match, otherwise I will cry very hard. Also, I must say that character looks pretty badass! Those legs look a bit turian to me but im not sure...That is definitely a Turian. The legs give him away, as does the extended/pointy chest armor for his carapace and the shape of the full-face helmet (looks just like Ghost/Havoc).

Thread update. As @massbass has 'left the building' so to speak... and DragonRacer has opened her trademark "The MEA MP Resource Library" It appears entirely appropriate to fold the two threads together, 'what we know so far' being a preamble to the Resource Library. Which leaves DragonRacer as the OP. Sorted

Nice looking maps. I look forward to being served a dose of ass whopping humility early on in this game. One gets used to starts, spawn points, a maxed manifest and gets too comfy.

Agreed on the maps, none of them look too dull! (well except for maybe sandstorm because desert map). I think they will have better lasting appeal than the last set of maps we had in ME3. Everything looks really fluid. Hopefully we won't be hindered in bringing a certain technology type weapon and it will just be a nice bonus if we bring the right one.

Multiplayer in Mass Effect: Andromedawww.masseffect.com/news/multiplayerWelcome back to the Mass Effect™: Andromeda gameplay series! In our previous videos, we took a look at weapons and skills, profiles and squads, and exploration and discovery. In the video below, we’ll dive into multiplayer, which enables you to take on new adventures and further challenges beyond the single player campaign. Multiplayer is a cooperative mode that encourages and rewards teamwork. Up to four players can join together to survive escalating waves of enemies, complete a series of objectives, and extract from the battlefield. How to Join MultiplayerYou can jump into multiplayer from the main menu, or even from within the single-player campaign. From the bridge of the Tempest, all you have to do is to launch the interface for Strike Team Missions. Here, you can send APEX Strike Teams on important missions for the Andromeda Initiative. Missions can either be completed by an APEX Strike Team, or you can play them yourself in a multiplayer battle. Select A CharacterYour first step will be to choose whether to make your match public or private. Private will allow you to limit the match to invited friends, while public quickly matches you with other available players. Next, you’ll choose your character kit. There will be a wide selection of characters available at launch, including species from both the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies, like the Human Soldier, Krogan Vanguard, and more. Each has a unique set of skills and abilities suited for different playstyles. Pick the one that best suits your style, or one that you’ve been waiting to try out. prod-media-masseffect.pulse.ea.com/content/news/mea-news/en_US/2017/march/multiplayer/_jcr_content/bodyPar/section_0/columns/column_0/content/media_0/asset/adaptiveimage/large.img.jpgCustomize Your LoadoutFrom here, you’ll want to customize your loadout. Like the single player campaign, multiplayer weapons utilize Milky Way, Heleus Cluster, and Remnant technologies. Each technology type gives you an edge against particular kinds of enemies. At launch, over 40 unique weapons will be available – many of which will be new. Some are returning favorites from the original Mass Effect trilogy, like the Black Widow, Mattock, Venom, and Carnifex. Any character can use any weapon—there are no class restrictions. Best of all, you can modify and upgrade weapons to give you a strategic advantage on the battlefield. Additionally, you’ll be able to customize your loadout with boosters, which provide additional benefits like cryo ammo, increased shields, faster skill cooldowns, or even extra XP. Upgrade and ProgressAt the completion of a match, all players will earn the same XP and Credits—so there’s no need to compete with your teammates. Use your XP to upgrade your character and evolve existing and new abilities. With a wealth of unique character kits, there are always fresh and interesting builds to explore. Use Credits to update your loadout with innovative weapons, mods, and boosters, and then put your combat strategy to the test in the next match. prod-media-masseffect.pulse.ea.com/content/news/mea-news/en_US/2017/march/multiplayer/_jcr_content/bodyPar/section_0/columns/column_0/content/media_1/asset/adaptiveimage/large.img.jpgPro TipsAs you play, you’ll quickly figure out what works and what doesn’t for each character. Here are a few tips to help you jump directly into your first match and play like a pro. Begin your multiplayer adventure with the tutorial mission to get a feel for the pacing of matches and to earn some helpful rewards. Always check your Supplies before starting a mission. You never know when you’ll need an extra Revive Pack or a Cobra RPG. Use cover. It’s fast, easy to get to, and it’ll save you from taking too much damage. Play as a team. Stick together, support each other, and communicate. Working together is the only way to ensure humanity’s survival in our search for a new home. We’ll see you in Andromeda! Mass Effect: Andromeda launches on March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe. Sign up for the Andromeda Initiative now to receive pre-departure training information and exclusive in-game rewards.

Found this in the twitter thread... BSN BioWare forums @bsnforums @ign were talking about 'Revive Packs' - does this mean it now takes consumables to raise the ass of fallen comrades? 😉 Thanks Fernando Melo DiscoBabaloono, its just what they're called. team mate revive just part of gameplay. you using revive pack on yourself is a consumable

I wonder what those little symbols on the powers are meant to be. Looks like a detonator indicator but that'd exclude quite a few powers that feel like they should detonate (eg Backlash)...

My favorite part of the MP trailer is that the characters will now hold on to the foregrip on SMGs.

Hmm, definitely liking what I am seeing here, even if it's just a revamp of ME3MP; don't get me wrong, all of the new tweaks are a welcome addition, though I am hoping that BioWare will seriously expand on this foundation for future DLCs.
The Salarian operator is looking to be my main, though I'll have to wait until I get my hands on the full roster to be sure.
P.S. It looks like the armored up Salarian from the last couple of seconds from the trailer is in fact an Infiltrator.

"there's no need to compete with your teammates" Did he even play ME3MP I bet he did, but he didn't like being out score'd by a H-sol w/ M8 Avenger, when he was using Cheese Kits on bronze.

"there's no need to compete with your teammates" Did he even play ME3MP Well he is saying that to try to expand the players base and rightfully so. There are a lot of people that would probably like to try mp but are afraid to because they will look bad.

I saw an Asari Adept in that video. Her powers (Annihilation, Throw, Lance) make her look like a potential N7 Fury kit! I couldn't Fury well but maybe some of you good people might. I will probably be sticking with my old standby human Adept and/or Engineer until something like my Drell Adept, Turian Sentinel, or Quarian Engineer comes along.

Did anyone else notice this/point this out? (If so, oops.) Finally watched the video, seems pretty evident there's gear in the game. Here are a couple shots from the video showing the store. One shows how you can buy specific upgrades with Andromeda Points, and another shows the loot packs available. Looks like you can buy packs with MP credits or Mission Funds. Those are from SP I think? Haven't been paying as much attention to the SP stuff lately.

yeah there's like one page PER EQUIPMENT SLOT
as if pugs can't figure out how to equip gear in ME3MP when it's all in one little box in the corner, shit in MEAMP *I* won't even figure out how to equip gear
it all just seems needlessly complicated

Do we know what all the enemy factions are? I seem to recall reading somewhere that there'd be three of those, and so far I've only hear about the kett and remnant factions. Anyone knows what the third one is? Space pirates? Cerberus?

Andromeda Initiative Rebellion, don't remember what they call it, but yeah basically they brought 100,000 people to Andromeda and half of them are criminals. Seems the Andromeda Initiative could have done with a better screening process.
