This game doesn't seem to excel at anything, even combat.. However, combat WITH FRIENDS does look enjoyable I will say. I would pay $30 if only for the multiplayer.
I know there are people shelling out $60 only for the multiplayer but, when you look at the amount of content + bad netcode, it's clearly a lackluster package. Compare this to The Division at launch (17 unique missions/maps with three difficulties + free roam + PVP), while MEAMP is essentially one single mission copy-pasted on top of 5 tiny maps with three difficulties.
For $30, it would be much, much more forgivable.
Edit: thread has been moved to multiplayer forums

This has been discussed already, belongs in the multiplayer section, and is really more of something you would tell the devs. This is a fan forum, and thus, while some devs check in from time to time, suggestions about EA/Bioware business decisions should really be submitted to them directly. Otherwise, I think all discussion on this topic has concluded. Some say yes. Some say no. Neither listen to the other's reasons. Nothing changes. Thanks for further bloating the first page with things already discussed, already in another thread, and belonging in a different section.
On topic, I say no. If you want my reasons, read what I posted on the original thread.

To the OP: There is a point where there is only so much cleanup I can do without completely nuking the thread. I'm fine with you restarting it though. I will move this to the MP section.

It'd be a start. Someone like me doesn't care for the SP, and I sure as shit won't be paying full price for a crappy multiplayer experience like I did with DAIMP.

By the way, Wavebend, do you planned to dig into the MEA? The binary image is already available, and resources have the same format as in DAI. If not, can you provide your digging tools?

If not, can you provide your digging tools? yeah, might have to buy the game soon if I want to be part of the modding scene. i've looked at early access files (sent by someone here) and afaik only the .toc/initfs have some kind of encryption going on, the rest is identical. interesting thing is all the .toc end with the following bytes: 40652161646E5864245E2172664F737244794972492178566748654121365663 which might be a key or something else. ill work on this when i actually get a hold of the game, might need to do some decompiling

You obviously decrypted them, so you already know the algorithm and the key. Can you share anything about it?

When I reflect on where ME3MP went from day one to the end, that development and support comes with a price tag, in my case with this new installment I would have no problems paying what I did for the Super Deluxe and only getting MP, I know I will be putting hundreds of hours in it and the personal enjoyment I get so the $138 (CDN) is more than reasonable, in fact I will also but Micro with each DLC as a small sign of support.

You need to post this in General Diascussion since this is a general issue about the shipping, bundling and whathaveyou of game parts.

Since this is more of a specific request for MP, I'm going to have it stay here. It's about bundling and such, but it's MP focused.

This game, MP alone, pretty much guarantees you will play for at least 100 hours. That's probably worth the price alone these days in a market full of one time play games where you can get through them in about 20 hours easily.

I'd even go a step further and would suggest releasing the MP component as a Free-2-Play title. After all there are microtransactions in it and there will probably be a lot if people buying these packs for real money. So opening the MP to a larger playerbase as a free title might actually even be more profitable in the long run.

This is not a terrible idea, as the ME3 multiplayer was so iconic, the MEA looks pretty good too, and people seem to be having mixed feelings about multiplayer.
However, I see this as being something the devs will keep as an option in the back of their minds for future development. It could be a wise move somewhere between 25-50% through the engine's life (roughly a years worth of planned dlc) to both draw more players in and help fund future content.
So, in conclusion, I doubt it will happen soon. For now, the fan base and those less critical of the engine will be carrying the multiplayer cost load.

We'll likely see free weekends similarly to what we saw with DA:IMP, to help draw in people as the game matures.
