Yes, if they can. Not sure how they would go about doing so though.

I haven't played the game yet, so I haven't seen first hand how bad some of them are, but those should be fixable by BioWare in one of the early patches.
The cc on the other hand I don't see them doing much with it. They chose this direction knowing it would be poorly received. I don't know why they decided to go with 10 awful looking scanned faces over a simple character creator that is the staple of RPGS.
But then again bioware is no longer in the game development business, they create art.

With Scott, Sara and Alec tied together. I don't think there can be major changes to the CC. I think some options can be added but it may take more presets to give more options.

They must. If the product you ship out is defective in some way and you receive customer complaints about the product, the onus in on you the product creator to fix and close the issues. This is called professional integrity and it applies everywhere, no matter the product.

I mean they could probably patch in simpler things like hairstyles, facial hair or tattoos. Perhaps even the ability to edit your look after you've started the game. However considering the system they have in place is seemingly restricted so that your father adheres to a certain preset, it's difficult to see how they can implement anything more robust.
It seems a very poor decision to restrict the players customisation so that an NPC would look a bit like them. Seemed easier just to give the father your eye colour and skin tone, pass the rest of your looks off as taking after an unseen grandparent.

Yes. But they don't really have anything to gain from doing that. Think of the EC for Mass Effect 3; the damage was done. Same here. It's too late to fix the damage. They should have had this ironed out pre-launch.
To be honest, they'd probably have to invest millions in fixing the problem. I don't think the issue is purely animation...it's also character models.

I now see the strength and appeal of having the twins and dad look related to each other. It would be better if they provided way more presets so we can achieve the variety we're looking for when we show off our characters. Currently they do need to fix a few things like the inability to color eyebrows and not being able to move the ears though, but I can't imagine they will (or can) add in the features to change our nose and mouth shapes.

I don't think the CC will change much for to improve it I think they need to take another approach to how the character creator works and to me that could cause a whole world of problems similar to custom Shepard import issues from Mass Effect 2 to Mass Effect 3. Then again, I am neutral with the CC since it is more then what most studios seem to be doing with two or three face shapes and then you pick the hair style/color and then eye color.
As far as the animations go I personally haven't been upset by them the way others have been, but I think it depends on what they need to do to fix the issue. If it is tweaking global settings to find a better reaction and movement I could see that happening, but if they have to go back and hand craft all those scenes again I don't see it happening.

Of course they should fix them!! But I very much doubt they can, tbh. If in five years they couldn't, how will they do it in a month or two?

I am not in any way a developer, but I've seen several MEA character images that were lightly photoshopped to improve the eyes, and very small changes ended up making a huge difference. That leaves me hopeful that they can add some improvements without an enormous time or resource investment.

Yes and I think they can.
However, that can range from 'addressing some of the most egregious issues that are being spread around in memes, and little more' to 'rallying resources in a proper plan over this year to do a strong pass over the whole game that will be part of a marketing effort next year to sell a complete 'remastered' pack to justify the cost'.
I hope closer to the latter.

If they can, sure, but honestly I'd rather they handle any bugs that may be plaguing the game first. I suspect on the 21st the amount of problems that get reported will be through the roof.

Inquisition had 3 years and you can clearly see that their CC is a lot deeper and the characters look better than the ones in this game. The real question is, both games use Frostbite, so why not recycle the CC? Isn't that what they said?

Not sure what to vote. I do think that they should try to fix both (but the CC is the more pressing issue IMO), however, while I'm relatively sure that they'll at least improve the CC (if not fully fix it), I honestly have no idea how likely it is that they'll rework the facial animations because I'm not entirely sure how much work it would be. So "Yes and I think they will" for the CC and "Yes but I have no idea if the will" for the animations .

They can't.
CC, partially, but facials are hard-coded animations, not motion captures, so that stuff won't be able to be changed at this stage.
