High: Met my first fellow BSNer while pugging Andromeda, andy_3_913! Low: But only for a brief moment in a lobby. Accidentally kicked him due to shifting buttons...

Rubberbanding is one of the reasons I am mostly sticking to characters with the Charge ability.
For some reason, Charge seems to temporarily remove rubberebanding (and that is a low/high point combo, right there...).

High: maxed all my Uncommons.
Low: why am I stuck in this Skinner Box?
= = =
High: Got my 'All Powers Recharge Speed' to Rank 2. Fear me!
Low: Or not because the 2% bonus isn't even noticeable.

I worked a week straight. Last night I finally felt I had the time to log in and play. The game crashed in menu. I turned off my computer then.

High: OMG, finally, my very first level 20 character! I wuv you, oh, Furious Ming, the Human Male Adept!!! You've made it!
Low: I was completely surprised by the fact that I do not have enough skill point to level up the build like in ME3MP. I looked it up, and I guess, I need ranks too.
Curiously, I also earned... Kett Mastery, Bronze. OMG, I know, hilarious.
Well, on to the next character. This time, it's Jack Frost, the Human Male Engineer with a Viper Sniper Rifle. Ah, I am just a glutton for punishment.

High: Furious Ming, the Human Male Adept Liked for the Jade Empire reference. Side note: with every crappy videogame from the '90s getting an HD remake and raising a bazillion dollars on KickFunder, why doesn't an actually GOOD game like Jade Empire get the same treatment?= = = High: last night's Gold Apex mission (One Life to Live vs. Remnant on White) was INSANE but fun. Low: Fission Mailed 3x while attempting this. High: finally got it done as the Angaran Insurgent with the N7 Valiant + Disruptor Rounds. (Disruptor Rounds don't work on Vanquisher, apparently.) Low: some dumbass playing the Salarian Architect. I must have shot his pet a dozen times. High: got some favorable Wave 3 Devices locations and got Wave 6 Assassination targets. Low: died to a Destroyer after killing the final target, and had to watch the aforementioned Salarian Architect plus a Salarian Infiltrator plink it to death. High: RNG forgave me for not using the Vanquisher, and coughed it up (to rank III) with my next Expert Pack purchase.

Yesterday was the worst day for me since starting for crash/bug/disconnect. This game is much like DAIMP in that there are an infinite number of ways to get blspapped.
within about 12-15 game attempts in the afternoon. I extracted on eon game I entered at the 5th wave, one full game extract, one host migration extract.
The others were, disconnected from the game multiple times times. Rubber band lag so bad had to quit. Frozen screen wave 6 after objective done. Infinite loading screen. Kicked to opening game screen.
For some reason it really ticks me off that in the vast majority of these cases you get booted right out of the game and have to restart from the beginning, I almost never just get kicked to the lobby. Kicked to dashboard multiple times.

I might have heard of it a while ago. I'll try to keep up with this and see where it goes. On topic: High Points: I'm still enjoying the single player game between multiplayer matches. Low Points: I've been ill this last couple of days, and it seriously impacts my multiplayer performance, having enough after only two matches or so.

Last night High: Dropping in a random game at wave 5. Kicking enemy ass with Krogan Vanguard. Killing multiple enemies with one jump landing melee. Low: Disconnected(game crash) from the very same game at wave 6. Good bye my melee enhancer lvl II & Power recharge bonus I.

Or Knights of the Old Republic... I am not keen on anything else in that setting. SWTOR pretty much both satisfied my lightsaber wielding cravings and put the franchise to rest. Also, the KOTOR team was one of the weakest imo. Juhani... and... that's about that. And she was boring too, save for being a Cathar. The rest of them were either irritating like Bastille, or forgettable, because... I can't remember them. Like, Carth, vaguely, was an LI that was trying to be not as obnoxious as Anomen... now, the KOTOR 2 cast was awesome. Heh. And the game with a meh cast... just not my thing.

I have to agree that I find KOTOR 2 superior in many ways except that it was rushed and kind of unfinished. The second one is actually on top of my wish list of games needing an update to present day standards. The crew and even the adversaries were better than the first's. Nevertheless KOTOR 1 was an excellent game, but feels really aged nowadays. I didn't much mind the 'team' but Juhani wasn't that great indeed. And there's still the terminator droid what's his name again? So in my opinion both titles would be great additions to the HD-remake/update fad. I would rather have them than a Mass Effect-trilogy remaster...

But, yeah, overall, SWTOR is basically a remaster of those games times 10 or something, way broader in scope for vanilla game, so KOTOR itself, tbh I am pretty positive, that it will be rather disappointing with a new coat of paint on. It was a solid game, but not much more than that, kindda a careful redemption after NWN1 fiasco.

Earlier today...
High: Buying a bunch of expert packs and finally getting a Vanquisher I, followed by II & III Low: Having to quit a game on wave 6 because an enemy got stuck inside a roof on Icebreaker Gold and Cobra Missile/Shockwave didn't fix the issue this time (happened once before on the same map).

Sure visually it's a huge improvement over the older games. And the storylines, at least the ones I followed aren't too bad, but both KotORs had something SWTOR lacked in my opinion.

So in my opinion both titles would be great additions to the HD-remake/update fad. I would rather have them than a Mass Effect-trilogy remaster... The name is HK-47, meatbags. That droid makes anything in KOTOR2 pale in comparison. Plus, that plot twist in KOTOR! Revan and Malak made for great antagonists as did Calo Nord. Now, regarding recent MEA high/low points: High: watching adhi/wraith relentlessly chase my buddy across various maps. I don't know what it is but they'll ignore me and bum rush him at all costs. Low: opening the odd rare card in advanced packs only to get the Halberd IV...ummm, thanks RNG

Sure visually it's a huge improvement over the older games. And the storylines, at least the ones I followed aren't too bad, but both KotORs had something SWTOR lacked in my opinion. I've actually remembered a character from KOTOR, that's HK47 droid. I fought him plenty times in SWTOR... and he stopped being funny, because OMG, they overused it so badly. I've played SWTOR for 2.5 years, and it imo actually did justice to the setting, capturing an era where both Sith and Jedi are commonplace, which I like more than the "the last of" or "almost the last of" stories in KOTOR1/2. Just one char story is only 1/8th of the game because they do interact giving the PoV on the war, and that's the most complex and interesting thing Bio ever managed. Plus, you are not shoehorned into a FU either... Anyway, I was thinking that my ideal TOR project would be SWTOR remastered into an SP game (they gotta put a stop to it at some point for the sake of all that is holy) with KOTOR and KOTOR2 streamlined and face-lifted as DLCs. How did we end at this junction? In this thread? Apologies, everyone!

Low: Still no patch to fix the most urgent issues (penetration mods, pellet spread reduction mod, crashes, disconnects and so on). High: I usually buy expert packs since finishing my uncommons, but today I decided to throw in a premium pack. My heart nearly stopped when there were two ultra rare cards in the pack... and then they gave me the piranha and the hurricane! It feels soooo good

High: Clutched the second half of wave 5 Gold Kett / Sandstorm. I was in a party with 1 friend and two pugs, my friend gets syncd by the Fiend, then i look around and couldn't see the other two either. look at the scoreboard and everyones name was red. Sandstorm is actually pretty easy ..
Low: One last game before bed, just finished the wave 6 targets, one enemy left on the field when the classic CE-34878-0 ended the session. Fuck you PSN

Featuring such topics as... * the proper pronunciation of cyclopes * krogan pick-up lines * how OP the Engineering Kit is on the Krogan Mercenary * JuggerNuggss's concept of appropriate conversations with his daughter Low: 10 million missing votes hasn't made a thread about this yet
