For anybody who didnt get a chance to play it, ive uploaded one of the gold games I played today. Worth noting that im off host using the Krogan Vanguard with the Dhan Shotgun. Since it was an Apex mission, there was a 15% power combo radius modifier aswell.

We tried kept to the same areas of the map. Youll notice most of the action happens in the same choke points in the upper sections of the map and we rarely ventured into the lower rocky parts. Having said that, it was the first time id played with any of these people so we werent exactly as disciplined as i would have liked. 90% of the people on my FL who i played with have already used up their entire trial. Either way, we extracted and it was a pretty good run all things considered (low levels/gear/weapons etc). |

How many $$$ do you spent? I decided not to, but it did cross my mind to (jokingly) quote the post where he bashed grabs in mass effect and them making it easy mode in the other thread and the pay to win part in this one. I don't care either way, but I did crack a smile. I guess it is possible he got amazing drops in the 10 hours or whatever he played and only bought a few boxes. Either way we have some gold gameplay now and I always support people taking their own time to do stuff for the community. |

Sticky bombs are so damn good.And ammo boxes are on the every corner.

Honestly not long ago I saw Penguin's 30 Premium Packs unlocking video and his reasoning for that shopping spree was that he would be able to play Gold before his trial ran out. I wrongly thought "that is so not going to happen, one cannot simply play Gold just because one has decent gear to do so". By ME3 standards even a Maxed Manifest is not necessarily a ticket to Gold until the player is experienced enough, and 10 hours are, broadly speaking, not sufficient to make one experienced in a MP game.
Well, I was totally wrong. But I am glad I was wrong. It seems like the time we spent in ME3 as well as other shooting/third person games will be serving us well quite in MEA in terms of skills, aim and awareness. With decent gear, good teams, communication and good connection I believe most BSNers may find themselves playing Gold sooner than they had anticipated. At least much sooner than I had anticipated.
Congrats for the video and for having a successful Gold match this early in the game.

Im choosing to take that as a compliment to my voice rather than you wanting to hear my comms. @spacevegan Yeah ive extracted 3 times from gold now and even got to wave 5 silver solo before my damn trial ran out and booted me out  If you played gold in ME3 and are struggling now, then its a gear issue for the most part I think. Once people are getting consumables at a steady rate, have levelled a few kits and have a few gold/black cards in their manifest, gold extractions will be ezpz. |
