So, FINALLY made it work! (Greyed out "Play" button issue.)
Here's what you need to do:
1) Delete Origin cache (http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Don-t-know-how-to-clear-origin-cache-View-this/td-p/5499713) along with the content of "C:\ProgramData\Origin\LocalContent\Mass Effect Andromeda".
2) Set your Windows time zone to Seoul.
3) Set your Origin language to Korean ( 한국어 ).
4) Make sure Origin IS NOT running, connect to Korean VPN.
5) Start Origin.

Not to piss on everybody's party here, but How does Origin not know that you're just relocating to get earlier access? You'd think it'd be hella easy to write a line into Origin that remembers where you're most pften located. Surely it knows where you were exacly when you downloaded all the data. This seems like such an easy thing to counter. Meh, guess they just don't care or something  EA doesn't. Go look at EA Answers. If you're using VPN to pay less, then there might be a problem. But they explicitly said that they wouldn't go after anyone for trying to get around the time zone issue. Also, for those with greyed out play buttons, try running as Administrator. Saw the solution on Reddit, and it worked. |
