The reviews so far of ME:A pictures it as being a very mediocre game, bad Writing, tons of pointless filler content and a **** ton of bugs and technical issues, it's basically DA:I in space then as we kind of predicted, I'm guessing Bioware just don't know how to make Frostbite work.
I'm definately not jumping on the ME:A MP train anytime soon, sticking to casual ME3MP pug games until/if they fix it (which they never did with DA:I). |

Well, yes, single player is just awful. IMHO, very silly with some teenager writing, it should have been rated E for everyone and S for stupid. Dialogs are bad, animations are scary, you cannot save the game most of the time and autosave triggers can be 30 minutes apart from each other. So, like 6 or maybe 7 out of 10 at most on a good day. However, multiplayer is surprisingly fun, very dynamic. There are glitches, there is lag but mostly playable and enjoyable. A bit rough on the edges, less detailed compared to ME3 although the drive is there, it is exciting and addictive. At least 8 out of 10, more like 9 if they fix-patch it.

Have some positive thoughts about that bridge!  Ok, bugs are bugs and there will be bugs and the bar for SP has been set high by the original series (minus the ending). But MP is still intact!! We still have a 4 team cooperative on ai with shared scores and credits. 3+2x3 skill evolution, weapons and weapons mods. My primal fear was some hothead coming up with "revolutionary" idea and we get a pvp Battleffect or tvt Masswatch. At least they resisted the urge to f&ckup MP by design. Positive thoughts man... |

Not even remotely concerned about the early reviews. The game could be significantly worse than ME2/ME3, and still be well worth the price of admission. Very pumped to get my pre-ordered copy tomorrow.

Reviews usually rate it 7 on 10 so the game is considered mediocre only compared to the first trilogy. I plan to play extensively the SP first to form my own opinion about ME:A, then possibly jump into the MP if I like it.

As excited I am about playing MEAmp, this one will always hold a special place in my fat heart. I don't think I'll ever stop playing it as long as it stays active (and I'm hoping it does)

made up my mind on not doing any SP early on even what little info/aterials available was enough. spent about 20 hours in MP during early access. may sound nosnsensical but sadly i no longer see MEAMP as a successor to ME3MP, neither in the spirit nor in the letter. there's just too many things that feel way off and quite wrong. Don't think that it would ever get there but i'm not even sure if that's what BioWare's intent is.
nopw with this out of the way... MEAMP in its current state is barely playable for me on Bronze, anything above is going to be an exercise in frustration as well as waste of (scarce) consumables. Plus bronze in itself gets old and boring quite quick too, to the point where i just stopped playing with still time left in early access. Once (if) the bugs are hunted down and the experience is improved i may pick up playing actively again. Until then will fluff around on my prime once the game is released, get the goodies, maybe do a bronze solo or two (Tupari's already got one recorded) and park it for later.
So yeah, i'm not leaving ME3MP soon. Gonna keep playing, pugging, and having fun. Also like DistigousForest will keep chipping away challenges towards my N7

IMO, the only hope this game has is fixing the MP. If they fix it, they might still have a chance of getting some players (old and new) to play it. As for my experience with the SP:  and I am primarily an SP player... A good option for them would be the re-master of the ME trilogy for the new consoles. Though given the state of the animation in MEA I doubt they have the people to do it... |

Reason being, MEA will bring in players new to the franchise, who would perhaps be interested in playing previous games in the series. This translates into more DLC sold for the original trilogy, and possibly even a few Packs in the MP. Once EA is satisfied that ME3 is no longer generating such revenue, then they will shut it down. |

Ehh all this fire and brimstone is honestly an overreaction from what I can tell.
The people I work with on a review site all said that MEA SP is just more Mass Effect with improved combat. Their biggest disappointments were the few risks MEA SP took rather than the writing itself being complete garbage (it was of course trite at times but so were literally all the other ME games).

Bioware don't know how to make ANYTHING work, period. They failed on every project and on every engine they've worked on. Andromeda is nothing more than a pile of trash, and the animations are the icing on the cake, a fitting finishing touch.
I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I will be an early adopter of the andromeda multiplayer, I have my reasons. So yeah I'll definitely be jumping on that bandwagon despite already knowing that the multiplayer sucks and has huge problems. I hate the fact that I'll be supporting a trashy company like bioware to continue to make more trashy games, but it is what it is.
