MEAMP's visual strangely reminds me of ME: Infiltrator, although actually they are not very alike...

Guys, seriously. Get the game, get the game, get the game. It's enjoyable building a new manifest with a new experience in learning the differences in skill tress, changes to powers/weapons, new maps/enemies/weapons/kits, etc, etc. Even if this enjoyment won't last, you should still get your money's worth and at worst you'll be better equipped to make fun of this game.
My one regret with ME3mp was that I wasn't there day one/first week, learning the game for the first time with everyone else and so on. So I'm glad I'm not making that mistake now. But if this don't bother you in the slightest, then sure, hold out on buying it.

that's a hilarious turnaround and it only took a few hours eh glad to hear you're having a blast with MEAMP So far the gameplay seems very solid. Looks like mp saves Mass Effect once again. This was one area I was hoping would come out right because team Montreal did mp for ME3. Seems more balanced too. Hope team Montreal remains on mp DLC if it happens, unlike last time where a bunch of Edmonton pyjacks handled the DLCs and just added some strange balance choices.

I barely played ME3 MP until I finished the SP, and was so dumbstruck that I didn't want to immediately start another playthrough (AT ALL) but still wasn't able to walk away from the universe I loved... that is when I fell in love with MP. I don't think I'll have to wait long for that price drop. What will be more interesting is when it does drop, how many of you are still playing regularly. That will likely be the deciding factor - if I can't reliably play with you folks, there is really no point.

I don't yet have personal experience (no time at the moment to immerse) but I will buy the game. Being in the industry I am lenient towards early deployment phase issues as long as there is support and regarding plot and character criticism I will make up my mind on my own. I found some peace listening to this vid while I can't play it myself.

Well so far the only issues I've actually had came yesterday night after I've added a friend to my list. It's like she cursed me. Curses. I've had like 5 or 6 crashes within 3 hours, but they were all in laggy matches (laggy matches is also a first) and while trying to do that one timed APEX or mission. So not sure if the lag, the APEX missions or a combination of both caused this these crashes. Or because less players play those APEX missions at those hours, resulting in match making with players further away causing lag - which seems like the route of the issue. But it was a pain in the butt because I had 3 hours left to get that one limited timed APEX Silver mission, and failed because of either bad pugs or crashes. So 3 hours completely down the drain. And to add further insult to injury, in one match I landed on the final objective wave and was like "Yes, some luck. This one is in the bag." Nope. Game crashes.
I only just discovered these APEX mission late yesterday too. Are these like the weekend challenges? And what do I miss for not having completed that limited one. Something permanent?

But if this don't bother you in the slightest, then sure, hold out on buying it. This would be under the false assumption that the game is worth buying…ever. I specifically wait out game purchases to avoid these mistakes, but like a hopeful child, I bit and pre-ordered. The regret equals my personal shame. All else aside, the loose, sloppy character mobility…major deal-breaker for me. They all feel like bumbling Gears of War oafs. And no chance in hell I’ll ever give a rat’s ass about the Ryder Twats to spend a second in SP. But I’ll try to bring myself to find something worth giving a shit about in MP tonight…so it’s not such a painful waste of money. Yet I suspect I’ll take advantage of XBONE multitasking and fire up YouTube during wave 4-5 again (yes MEAMP was still ‘active’).

I'm glad someone said it. Some random dude tries to justify this ugly thing, like we have never played any games in our life. We get another multi-million rushed, incomplete game after ME3, AGAIN. What more does it take to convince people, I wonder. Biovar was right about one thing though. They said that "industry has moved on". That was pretty accurate, because other companies are more serious and productive that this group of clowns. Example: CDPR with animations and gorgeous characters, Blizzard with balancing, Id with understanding their own history. Wicher 3 came out successful, Overwatch is selling good and noone ever mentioned to "fix" the almost perfect Doom 4. Even old Biovar could do it better. No matter how hard you try to polish a turd, it will still be a turd.

All those highly anticipated games that didn't blow Biower style (Dark Souls III, Uncharted 4, etc).

No matter how hard you try to polish a turd, it will still be a turd. But we really only bought ME3 for mp anyway. So if we just buy MEA for mp, it's the same thing. Personally, my buy definitely feels justified with just the mp side of things alone. Only real issues are again lag related. So temp solution, if you see some crazy lag in a match, bail out because not only is it not fun playing with too much lag, but in MEA's case on PS3, it seems to crash it. Also, today we got a new map (APEX missions only so far) and a new character kit. And it's not even a DLC. I'm liking this trend. PS, Mission_Scrubbed. Buy this game now. Thank me or hate me later. Only too bad I don't have a good enough rig so we can continue some matches on PC, but I will eventually. Ditto goes to all other I play with on PC.

Forgot, but there are actually a lot of issues for ME3mp that were addressed. I keep forgetting what they all are, but it does pop in my mind a lot as I'm playing. Off the top of my head, us console scrubs can finally turn aim assist off, no more one button to rule them all, no humping cover when trying to get away, some more thought into skill tree options from the few I've seen, radar for general direction of enemies and objectives to speed things up, last 3 enemies shown instead of one to speed things up, PC finally has controller support, The APEX mission are like weekend challenges available every day, etc. So yeah, like the team actually listening to many issues in ME3mp.
Now with the jet packs the map designs can finally go vertical. So it really opens things up. For some more interesting map designs. So far my fave map is Firebase Icebreaker. The music in it has a very nice node to Noveria music from ME1, hitting all the right nostalgic buttons for me too.

Wow, I didn't think this game would be this unpopular here, at least based off a quick glance through this thread. Pre-ordered the game a month in advance and was playing the moment my game unlocked. I've put about 10 hours into the SP campaign and I'm honestly really liking it. Exploring the (few) planets you can are very fun and the Nomad puts the garbage Mako to shame. I do miss my Mako cannon though. The beginning of the game truly felt alien to me, I thought it was really well done. Very curious to learn more about the scourge as the game goes on. The gameplay improvements in movement and gunplay/powers are excellent additions as well, it's so nice to be able to use charge without worrying about it glitching out and causing me to die, or to not get stuck in cover for going to close to it like ME3. MP is awesome of course, put about 4 hours into that so far and my novagod is still a god so I'm happy. Like Terminator Force above said, the improvements made to MP are quite nice. My main gripe about MP and the game in general is still no dedicated servers, so you have to hope the dude that's hosting has decent internet or you're gonna rubber band everywhere. On the bright side, off host gameplay in general feels better and the vanguard is now decent to play and that's coming from someone that 100% refused to play vanguard off host in ME3. The maps are quite good as well IMO, it's nice to be able to jump around instead of being forced to only run around. The new kits are pretty decent to, I especially look forward to unlocking the Krogan vanguard who has both charge and nova. A Krogan Novagod, how can you go wrong with that? Of course, the animations suck and can be pretty awkward at times, but that's been said a thousand times and to me the gameplay improvements far outweigh the bad animations. Sure would be nice if they'd do something about it, or even if they had just done a better job with it in the first place, but overall I'm very happy with the game and the money I spent on it. Some of the voice acting isn't to great either unfortunately, I find it's mainly the characters on the Nexus that bother me. Main characters like squadmates are well done though IMO. The game also needs some more patching for sure, game tends to crash a bit to often for my liking and it does so without warning or an error code. It also glitches out my Logitech keyboard when the gaming software is running in the background. causing the backlights to stop working, exiting the Logitech software completely fixes the issue. Only game that this has ever happened in for me.

Some will need more time to come around to mp after the shock that was MEA early pre-release buzz. And while I can't say much about sp since I haven't returned to it due to being hooked on mp, I will return to sp at one point just because mp is showing the gameplay to be solid.
Not having dedicated servers is actually good. Means mp should have a longer life and things do work really well when the host is strong. Just hope this time there is some match making code that prioritizes pairing you with those closer or with better ping. If not, it will probably soon have this coding since it would certainly eliminate most of the issues with bugs in this game since lag is the source of bugs in this game.
Being able to enter and exit lobbies an instant is also a cool new feature.
