Hey, Calpernia! Hope to see ya in DA4. Maybe? Huh? I hope not, unless her involvement is us making sure that monster faces justice for the atrocities she committed. She would be a controversial figure, no doubt. However, as has already been pointed out, she can die in DAI. So, with all the dislike about resurrecting old npc's BW has gotten, I doubt we will see her now. The polarizing figures are often the most interesting, or at least create interesting situations. Draw your parallel here to, say... Loghain. |

Haha, that persecution complex. In a way it's too bad that you can kill Calpernia in DAI, because that limits her potential involvement in DA4. Personally, I really liked her backstory and thought she would have made an interesting companion in the next game... You never see her death, even in that waterfall path. There is definitely a way for them to pursue that if the devs want. I say that as someone who always takes the mage path and never deals with her, so I don't really have a stake or vested interest in Calpernia returning. Odd thing is, my preferred is mage path, and the only reason I did a templar path was to see what the Calpernia fuss was about. While rescuing the mages is my canon, I really would still love to see Calpernia in 4. |
