Am I missing something? There aren't already krogan that use biotics? They do, but it requires dangerous, often fatal surgeries (yes, fatal even to krogan) to unlock that in them. That's why all krogan biotics Shepard met are from before the genophage. For a virtually sterilized race, such a risky procedure simply wasn't worth it anymore.

My feeling is the ancient dwarves encountering krogan in the Deep Roads may have mistaken incendiary weapons for “breathing fire.” As for any magic they may have performed, I note that the Codex only describes a ritual, not magic. And from what I heard, the krogan have a ritualistic culture.

Wrex was born after the genophage. Literally the only pre-genophage krogan we ever meet was Drack. Biotics can occur naturally among Krogan, as they can with any race exposed to element zero. The fact that the surgery existed doesn't mean it was the only way for them to exist.

But weren't the Scaled Ones using sneak attacks? I've never heard of Krogan being stealthy. They mostly just charge in and demolish. Unless I'm mistaken?

We have met other krogan that existed before the Genophage, like Okeer and Patriarch. Drack is just the oldest krogan squadmate we've had.

Can someone on Twitter please humor me and ask if that library room with the giant tome in Skyhold's basement was ever meant to be used for anything, or if it's just flavor? It seems like a missed opportunity to have Alexius there (if you allowed magical research) or a cutscene with Dorian or even Solas, or something.

They intended to do something with it, but it got cut. But I will ask again.

Ghast Whisperer@thats1evildude @patrickweeks @biomarkdarrah @sylvf1 @biomarykirby I pose this query on behalf of another forumite: does the giant book room in Skyhold serve any purpose? I'm 90% sure it related to cut content, but I said I would ask.
@sylvf1 I think it's just a cool nook our artists made. No cut content, as far as I know.
(Mary Kirby liked Sylvia's tweet, FYI).

Biotic Krogan could be a thing I feel like if Krogan breathed fire and/or could bite people's heads off Wrex would have mentioned it at some point. Yea, plus I don't recall biotics being able to breathe fire. Or take part in macabre rituals in which they sacrifice blood on altar adorned by blood-drained bodies.

I thought that library room was where Morrigan was supposed to be, but nobody could find her during playtesting, so they moved her to the garden? I don't remember where I saw that...

And from what I heard, the krogan have a ritualistic culture. Not THAT ritualistic or macabre, I gather. Plus, the author is pretty adamant that the Scaled Ones were like humans, with difference being the head and body covered by scales. But Krogans are pretty noticeably different, not just in terms of head, thick hide or bring notably bigger than humans. Scaled Ones also noted to prefer stealth, silence and cover of darkness, which is pretty much anthithetical to how Krogans are usually portrayed. In other words, I think some may take an easter egg a bit too far. The fact that Bioware has sense of humor doesn't yet mean that they want to connect both universes - so the probability of Krogans being Scaled Ones is likely as high as some Orlesians hunting down a Krogan and putting his head on display in Winter Palace. IMO? Scaled Ones are either an ancient race or some sort of cult that arose from people who liked dragon blood too much. Dragon blood (and magic) is noted to have physical effect on people.

Whereas I'm leery of putting too much stock in what is likely an elaborate joke. If I hadn't found that krogan head with the axe in it next to the final Chronicles of a Forgotten War codex, I probably wouldn't be shouting down the Scaled One theories. BioWare can go pretty far for silly jokes. The Nug King required a cutscene and the creation of an invisible bridge. And who can forget the Quizquisition?

Whereas I'm leery of putting too much stock in what is likely an elaborate joke. They go pretty far for some jokes. That whole bit with the Nug King involved a cutscene and a puzzle. Yea, but the whole Nug King cutscene and puzzle didn't involve the very serious-sounding description of a gruesome encounter and bloody rituals, very unlike what we know about a race from ME universe. The text isn't even punny, like in case of Transformers reference. In other words - where's the joke? There's no lightheartedness there, like was in case of Nug King or Quizquisition or merry conspiracy theories from JOH.

he creation of an invisible bridge. And they used this tech to make the bridges in Trespasser right? Also. That leap of faith was an amazing game moment for me. I was like, "Ok so... Dying now?" *jumps off cliff, doesn't die, and laughs*

Nightmusic @nightmusics @davidgaider @patrickweekes I suggested DA:I to Anthony Rapp when he was asking the Internet what to play next. Thought you’d enjoy his reply.
Anthony Rapp @albinokid Already have the platinum.

Always fun to see known entertainers show their interest in games, especially my fav franchise. I was absolutely delighted when I discovered one of my fav authors ( Daniel Suarez, who writes tech thrillers) plays DA and all sorts of games.

"Known entertainer" being a subjective term since I've never heard of the guy. He's in the new Star Trek series. I used that in place of something like "famous" or "celebrity" for similar reasons.
