Feeling nostalgic for da2 after reading varrics book. Hypothetically could they do a side quest back to Kirkwall? How far is the journey? Considering we can go from Ferelden to the Western Approach across the continent in DAI, distance doesn't seem to be that much of an issue... That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they are using DA4 as an opportunity to move away from the South altogether to show us some new sights. With that in mind, I woudn't expect to see Kirkwall (or Ferelden or Orlais) again. Though I do admit that I'd love to see the City of Chains fully rendered in Frostbite, giving true justice to its size and age.

Kirkwall has strong historical ties to Tevinter, so it seems like a reasonable place to go even if we’re based in the north. I’m still really curious about whether the big blood rituals were just to summon Xebenkeck, or if there was more to those.

Well, I still believe that we will be using eluvians a lot, and if we do, it means that geography and distance will stop being an issue. With that said, I don't expect to port to many populated places - though one can never know where they're kept or hidden. There was at least one eluvian in Winter Palace and another one in an abandoned Orlesian mansion; Morrigan has - so far - left hers in Skyhold. Merril experimented with one. And we know from DAO that there are eluvians scattered around in Ferelden. And that's not counting potential eluvians that may be transported from place to place, either by Inquisition or Solas's agents or else.

"the smirk of an Orlesian commander in love" More likely he was thinking of Cassandra and forgot that she was from Nevarra. She was originally based at the Grand Cathedral in Val Royeaux after all and does have an accent, though not particularly Orlesian. Still I think it would be easier to mistake her as coming from that country than Cullen.

While I don't know where that reviewer actually is, or where they're from, that makes them seem so... American. >.> And I can say that because I'm American. But again, the person writes as if they've played not only DAI, but DAO as well. I didn't read deeply enough to see whether there were DA2 remarks. There really is no excuse in that case. I'm going with my more charitable read of "brain fart."

I'm going with my more charitable read of "brain fart." Well, I mean, they also picked a picture of Isabella to represent DAI. Even though she's only in it as a muliplayer character with no cutscenes and DA2 was actually her game. Whereas every other pic seems to be of the main or a prominent character in its respective game. So, maybe the accuracy is just off. Still glad you posted it in general, though. Never heard of that game before now.

I never minded that Hawke left Kirkwall provided *preferred love interest* was with them. Hell, I dont trust Bioware, so I never wanted to see them again unless it was the two of them in a hot-tub together at Varric's estate.
After DAI I STILL dont want to see them again. Hawke is AWFUL in DAI. Best thing to come out of that game is the conclusion to the Champion story in the dlc. Thats about as close as I'll ever get to what I actually want.
One of the worst things for me was the heavy handed one size fits all ending to the champion story that completely ignored who they might be or involved with to shoehorn them into Kirkwall.

I look forward to the falcons at the new place, and I won't miss the canadian geese once Bioware moves to the new place. Last week where I work a coyote decoy was placed near the entrance to scare away the geese (otherwise known as flying rodents) and keep them from crapping in the parking lot.

Also had a whole herd of wild boars living in a field two houses away, not that long ago. And a bit farther away from where I live? Wolves.

The joys of rural living! I've had rodents get into my car air filter and not only chew it to bits but leave a nice urine smell behind for me. But at least they were comfy! And, last summer we had foxes chasing bunnies under our house and tore the crap out of our insulation which then had to be completely replaced. Not a fun experience! (one of the foxes was a cute lil sucker but his big brother was your typical cranky teenager). Momma proved too wily to get caught.

Oh yes, there are so many foxes at times local hunters have to cull their number, just so they wouldn't eradicate hares (and chicken, naturally). Also, there's been a large population of martens living in an attic of an empty house nearby... they ate all of the roof insulation That can't be healthy. Still, the marten presence keeps rodent infestation at bay. Which is a good thing, considering a decade or so we had such an issue with rodents that local cats couldn't really do much about it - up to a point when some people began using poison so strong it effectively dealt with both rodents and cats (including some of mine).

John Epler @eplerjc Nothing I ever do in my career from this point forward will ever match this. I'm preeeeetty sure @biomarykirby wrote this?
Mike Laidlaw - PAX West I DIED AT CHATEAU HAINE should be your epitaph.
John Epler @eplerjc Like, I'm used to looking back at stuff I did from DA2 DLC and earlier and cringing, but that's still incredible.
Mike Laidlaw - PAX West So is "fallen from grace," which...yes. I'm so glad we did that.
John Epler @eplerjc I think I sent Sheryl a list of possible puns, and then she came up with this and it was just... yep, that's perfect.

Its just... they don't have any pants. Qunari have a thing for red string. It has symbolic significance. You can see it everywhere - even dragon in Trespasser had red string tied all over and it wasn't to restrain her, just to decorate/symbolize.
