Hopefully once Anthem is out they will start talking about Dragon Age a lot more than vague "We're working on something"s. This. And given that there's going to be a considerable gap between DA:I & DA4, I have a feeling BioWare might be working on/outsourcing something DA-related (indie game?) to help tide us over. Nah, I think we're supposed to be happy with an elaborated upon codex book (sorry, Varric's novel) and a skimpy on lore comic book. Should be glad we're not getting the Andromeda treatment? ... I think I'd rage quit.

No luck so far obviously Getting the urge to boot up Inquisition again. It's been two whole years since I've touched it (or any Dragon Age game for that matter) And sorry for being off topic. I just needed to vent my frustrations and this seemed like as good a place as any I'll curl back into the shadows now...

I don't really know what it means, and I'm slightly scared to be dissapointed and going into the "mulitplayer/live service" sweat, so I'll take it as good news for now.

I really prefer several interesting hubs of variance over a single (maybe, maybe not) more interesting hub that almost no matter what, won't have the same level of variance.
Bioware can try to prove me wrong.

It's about hubs and the characters in it being more reactive to your decisions and story progression.

Maybe even shift to 1+ others in expansions, partially to not complicate the programming of the Minrathous hub.

I don't think they introduced eluvians in Trespasser (and then confirmed in GDC talk that it's in preparation for... the future) only so we could hop around from one Minrathous pub to another

*cough*We are going to spend a lot of time in Minrathous*cough* But not at the Start of DA 4.
The biggest City in Thedas could be a Overkill in the first Hours like the Hinterlands. DA 4 should start at a more smaller Scale. Ventus the Hometown of Dorian would be Perfect.

I don't really think the size of Hinterlands was a problem - the general problem seems to have been lack of clear directions. The prompt to get out of Hinterlands and follow the main quest was quite weak (hence the meme... and hence they added banter lines urging us to go to Val Royeaux after accumulating enough power) and people were running around the place a bit clueless. With that said, I can see DA4 not starting in Minrathous and instead somewhere else. Never claimed we're going to be stuck in the city from the start. In fact, I think that even if we'd spend most of the game prowling Minrathous there will quite likely be stuff we can/have to do outside of the city too.

For those who want to hear Mark talk about reactivity in their hub in Anthem and how that will influence DA and ME. Also Mike Gamble talks a little about story elements being added post-game (live service) that he'd like to see in DA & ME going forward.

If we could have had ongoing bits of content for the companions in DAI that would have been pretty amazing tbh. Imagine going on a little side quest/date with Dorian for example. It'd be relatively fluffy since I imagine they wouldn't want to radically reinform the character and have that not be reflected down the line as he was released in the base game (unless that is also something they can now change/influence on the fly) but that's fine, it's Bioware playing to their strengths rather than trying to emulate what's been successful for other people. It would add huge replayability.
OTOH it's pretty easy to imagine how this would slot in with the idea Schreier floated about having mass opinion establish canon and developing content from there. Which would be the darkest timeline.

If we could have had ongoing bits of content for the companions in DAI that would have been pretty amazing tbh. Especially when you consider how dead Skyhold is in post-game. The fact that the followers and advisors stand there repeating the same line of dialogue is quite a bummer. I can't even have my kiss-on-demand anymore. Even though it makes more sense to play the DLC in post-game (fitting in quite nicely with the two year gap to Trespasser), the way Skyhold is doesn't offer much incentive to do so. OTOH it's pretty easy to imagine how this would slot in with the idea Schreier floated about having mass opinion establish canon and developing content from there.
