Well, hang on... Mediterranean and Spanish people are in large part Caucasian^^; There are a lot of different ethnicities among them, given that both Spain and Italy were/are melting pots of different cultures from different parts of the world (in considerable part from the Middle East or Africa due to proximity), so I think it's more accurate to say that there are different mixtures of ethnicities living in places that Bioware tells us were an inspiration to places like Antiva - and that given its hotter climate there will be many people, including a lot of 'caucasian' (because clearly, they aren't literally that in DA universe) ones that will have darker skin colors as well.

There has always been a lot of racial mixing in the southern Mediterranean area but particularly Spain considering how close northern Africa is to it. For a considerable part of its history it was ruled by the Moors, who came from north Africa and beyond. So, yes, Spanish people will exhibit a considerable variety of skin tones and even quite dark if they spend much of their time in the sun.

I took that to be the ethnicity they were going for with Josephine. Antiva borders Rivain to the north and that area is definitely sub-tropical and its native inhabitants naturally dusky skinned. The two nations must have inter-married frequently. That Queen Asha of Antiva was said to have married off her children into every ruling house in every nation, so other Antivan nationals probably did the same. You could even argue that Vivienne and Ser Barris must have had ancestors from northern Thedas because they do not share the same ethnic background as the majority of inhabitants of Ferelden and the Freemarches.

However, so far as the cosplay is concerned, she was playing Josephine not Vivienne, so she doesn't seem to have been faking an ethnicity that was not her own.

He makes alts with Vivienne's face as their pics and goes on about Bioware being (secretly?)racist for various reasons. You only have a few posts to your name and sounded remarkably like his rhetoric, so that's where I got that. Again, if you're not, I'm sorry. No one should be mistakenly compared to N7Phantom.

A white person wearing brown makeup still isn't inherently racist, though.

Well, I probably wouldn't get Disney Infinity and ostriches, but I think I'd still be in the net gain, because if you don't know Elder Scrolls and Battle Royale, you should not call yourself a gamer. And Destiny is good for laughing your ass off about it.

@patrickweekes and all you fab @bioware peeps, how old would you say Krem is when he and Bull join the Inquisition? My tentative guess is 28, which would give him time to serve 2-3 years as a soldier, then spend 6-7 years with the Chargers. Thoughts?

That sounds about right to me. I would put him in late 20s, early 30s.

Oh, oh! I've been wondering - @drunkdalish maybe you have estimated it already for your work on timelines, but if not, maybe someone at BioWare can say - but when do the Arlathvens take place?
I know Merrill was traded at one when she was 4 yrs old, and they happen every 10 yrs, but I don't know how old Merrill was in the Dalish origin in DAO so I can't figure out what year she might have been traded. I guesstimate she was 19-20 so it might have been 9:15 Dragon or so.
