Jan Willem Nijman @jwaaaap what's something you added to your game that almost nobody will notice?
seb hanlon @hanlsp in DA2, when you zoom the camera all the way in on PC, the anchor point drops down so you can take fullbody screenshots of your character
Well, I probably wouldn't get Disney Infinity and ostriches, but I think I'd still be in the net gain, because if you don't know Elder Scrolls and Battle Royale, you should not call yourself a gamer. And Destiny is good for laughing your ass off about it.

That would be useful to know...if I had DA2 on the PS4 or PC.

In news that is not Twitter-related but does not necessitate its own thread: if you see a person ask "What is Dragon Age?" in the next few days and you're not in on the joke, watch this video.
Wow, I actually guessed ostriches correctly, cus I just thought it was the most hilarious bird to put them on and actually still joust. Emus would be truly terrifying though. I hear they won a war or something.
I love that that guy knew the name Dragon Age, even if he did mix it up with Elder Scrolls. Its not the *worst* franchise he could have confused it with.
(I admit I blanked on Battle Royale. Competitive gaming isn't my thing, what can I say? Got Destiny, though.)

Like I said to somebody else, he'd probably heard of Dragon Age from a friend of a friend, and mentally connected it with "popular fantasy video game franchise."
It's like if you asked me "What is the capital of Italy?" I don't know the actual answer, but I know Rome is in Italy, so I would guess Rome.

Them are fighting words. I love Destiny.
Errr...
Oh well. I didn't ask for that fight, but...
After time adrift among open stars, past tides of light, and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began.
Every time I listen to the new Florence and the Machine album I think of all the good songs someone can eventually make DA4 music videos to and obviously I'm deeply in denial because she'll probably make two more albums before it's even released.

Maybe one of those new songs will be the official DA4 trailer song! I'm deeply in denial cus I think DA4 is gonna be released before trailers for video games become obsolete.
Hey John Epler changed his job description on Twitter to “Narrative Director, unannounced stuff @bioware” so does this mean he moved full time to Dragon Age? 👀🙏 Last time he had the word Anthem in it, if I remember correctly

(Sorry if discussed before)
Possibly. Anthem reached the Alpha milestone last week and everyone working on it now are focusing solely on polish and fixes. Makes sense some of the people who worked on things like writing are now able to work on other projects.

To an extent, any post-launch content, DLC or free, is worked on before game launches. The moment you don't need writers for the base game, they can start writing more stuff. In the end, the logical outcome (but do mind that all I base this on is logic) is that DLCs have their base laid even before the game releases. ...and if they're not greenlit yet, I think we can bet on the writers having thoughts and ideas.

I think the idea of live service games is that post-release content is more deliberate and thought through than it ever was before. So if the DLC as we knew them were planned prior to launch, they're probably even more planned/worked on now - though I assume there's still some spare room there, so the team can respond to what people like or demand and so on.

In the sense that they seem to be brainstorming ideas for characters that would represent these minorities.
That always carries a lot of risk of the character being a one-dimensional quota filler.
I just hope my faith is not misplaced. I don't care as long as the characters are good and not there to fill a stupid quota.
You're reading way too much into this, considering it is a slide from a panel delivered by Saffyre Falkenburg at QGCON in Montreal this past weekend. She is an adjunct instructor at Texas Christian University and Collin College, not a BioWare dev.

Thank goodness.
I mean, when someone tries to make such a character and they end up bland, it may even backfire in ways unforeseen, so it's in their best interest to create good characters that just so happen to be X.

I've listened to quite a few BioWare dev interviews and their approach is indeed to write the character and then make them romance options *if it fits them*, so I think you have little to worry about.
Falkenburg's panel subject is a pretty interesting one, though. Since I haven't played a male character I wasn't aware that m-m relationships in DA could potentially be curtailed based on how you answer the companion when they ask you how you feel about m-m relationships. But f-f relationships in DA apparently don't rely as much on such a conversation. Would have been an interesting panel to attend, I think!
