Look at it this way: at least you’ll see Solas next game. And potentially kill him.

Btw, sorry for an off-topic question, but a friend of mine has just started playing DA:O using Origin and their game keeps crashing. He says one file is missing for him, named DAUServiceDiagnostic_beta.exe. Anyone have any idea how to get this file? You know, since they nuked everything on the whole website...

They tried accessing some I think, but part of the issue was that he installed mods... he finally managed to get it to work again, but the mod for Sten made his head invisible... I wish I understood the modding thing more, as a console pleb I can't really help... Edit* Apparently the support forums were nuked as well.

QuizzyBunny There might something saved in the "original BSN" archive over at Fextralife. Not sure how easy that place is to search though.

The above EA link might be of help if anymore problems happen. I've successfully gotten help from the Mass Effect side of stuff there before.
Also, Nexus' forums, which might be where he got the mods, for the problem of the headless qunari. Or that specific mod's posts.

(I see LukeBarrett liked that post. Bandit!Dev, how could you?! T_T) Pffff, because he's a Bioware dev and he lives off fan tears, duh. Also... do we even know if killing Solas does what is expected? Things in DA universe are notoriously hard to actually kill Potential scenario: Inky: HA! I won and you're about to die! Solas (*on his dying breath*): Thanks, this is exactly what I needed for my plan to trigger Inky: ...Come again?

While you're here, can we please have more bunnies in DA? I find the lack of bunnies... disturbing. (And with this they will probably make the bunnies have the same fate as the poor fennecs...)

If Ventus is going to be in DA4 keeping the same appearance of a fortified city with a jungle nearby, I'll be going to lose my mind.

Now this right here is why fan forums exist. We demand bunnies. *BioWare puts rabbit pies in DA4* We know bunnies are canon since Cole talks about them. They're just like... ninja bunnies or something. You never see them when you're out where you'd expect bunnies to be. No wonder, considering all the bears, wolves, and fennecs that are out there too. Clearly the bunnies have evolved invisibility to keep them from being eaten by all the predators. (If any devs read this: I completely understand that having non-essential ambient critters like bunnies and kids running around would require resources that are better allocated elsewhere - I'm being silly and not trying to criticize your work, which I love.)

Who needs bunnies when you have nugs . Also, the beginning of Deception is interesting, but I really did not like the intro to the city. It was obviously only there as a quick fix explanation of how the city has two names now. It felt very much like a “we need to get this out of the way” more than anything that needed to be mentioned. Personally, I do not care what they call it, I have no relation to the place. However, I have read enough about it on these boards to know how others feel. I think their introduction only confuses people who don’t know about the name change and irritates people who cares .

Rabbits are canon in Dragon Age. Besides the Cole reference, a less common Orlesian slur for elves is “rabbit.”

I think it has more to do with the format - comic books don't exactly lend themselves to being tools for thorough exposition. Besides - I kinda like the "apparently the place has multiple personas" quip, it states both something about the character and the city's character. That's enough for me so long as they keep weaving that into the story in one way or another. (TBH, I'm pleased they addressed it at all and did it at the start. It'd be way more irritating for me if they just went with it with no time to stop and mention it).

Though I still feel like it's weird when the reason to change it was because of the similarity to "Qunari" and they then proceed to talk about the Qunari immediately. If people are so confused as they say, won't that also be the case in the comic? I admit, when I first read the name in one of the games, I assumed that it was the place (town or country) the Qunari originated from. Then again, Tevinter was Elven at one point and some people here have speculated about a possible connection between the Qunari and the Elves.

I wouldn't be surprised if the issue of Qarinus and Qunari being easy to confuse jumped out at them with full force while reviewing the initial script It's likely that the Qunari have always been mentioned right after establishing that events happen in Qarinus (probably because it's an important plot point) and they're like... 'yeah guys, we gotta do something about that' - and thus the decision was made and they simply rewrote the intro to briefly mention the change. And given that Ventus is the first name we read and is distinct enough from 'qunari' I don't think Qarinus/qunari confusion has this much of an impact.

Patrick Weekes @patrickweekes Game Writers: are you ever at home and then suddenly struck by the worry that a player-choice line you wrote today might only flow naturally from one NPC path, and maybe you forgot to check how it flowed from other paths?
Is this “did I leave the faucet on” for game writers?
