I personally would take a DAO remake that just updates the graphics (including changing the darkspawn to match their new looks), adds in some the cut content (there’s a conversation with Oghren that I wish they’d include) and maybe alters some of the armour appearances for rogues.

I'd also like a remake of DAO to overhaul the combat a bit, personally. Keep all the abilities that exist and such in DAO already, but make it faster animation and more responsive. Basically, like DAI (minus the strange attack-freezing bugs  ), which was a middle ground btwn DAO and DA2, imo.
Oh, and keep tactics as they are in DAO. And import that for DA4.  |

If they remake DAO, won't happen, I like for Loghain to become a companion earlier in the game, and/or have Alistair remain with the warden when Loghain becomes a warden. It would be interesting to hear the dialogue between the two during the Return to Ostagar dlc. Instead of Leliana losing her head, hahahaha, she just walks away, if the ashes have been tainted.

Nah, I say upon depleting her health, a cutscene would be shown where Leliana is stabbed in the gut and falls unconscious. Warden thinks she's dead. Leaves her for dead.
Maybe cut back to the Warden with her waking up. Maybe not.

BioWare can't start work on a remaster/remake project without EA approving the budget and they aren't going to leak future project documentation online either so nothing outside "it would be cool" level of interest. preEA-BioWare owned none of their games, except Jade Empire which is 12 years old this year. They didn't really have a reason to look at remaster/remake until the 10th anniversary was near. Funny enough, all pre-Jade Empire BioWare games have remasters now except for Shattered Steel. |

I dunno, I'd prefer DAO to keep certain parts of it's art style. For example, Chantry sister robes. In DAO, they were sort of... lilac, is it? Then in DAI they became red and white. I don't really remember what they were in DA2. So, using that as an example, I'd prefer for Fereldans to use a different robe from the Orlesians, since their two countries are so different. I am like... dead certain that Chantry robes in DAO were a sort of dirty red-and-gold color scheme. The reason I'm dead certain of this is because I watched my friend play, when we were both sixteen, and she was still kinda squeamish about breasts, so the first thing she did upon getting Morrigan in the party was to put her in Chantry robes. It's perhaps needless to say that she and Morrigan did not get along.
(Also, god, I played DAO when I was sixteen. Is this what getting old feels like? I don't like it someone make it stop.)

Eh, definitely not the same.
They're hardly identical, but they are, now that I can compare them side by side, relatively similar, so I think that this is just a different style. After all, Ferelden is a cold country, unlike shiny Orlais)
And as for breasts, errr, I might start channeling my inner Roman Bellic, if you know the guy.

It also crashes on modern computers, because it doesn’t play well with multiple cores. When I was replaying it, I had to go into task manager and force it to use only one core, otherwise it crashed whenever I did a big spell combo.  In fairness, multicore programming is a nightmare, so it’s not super surprising that it chokes. Probably weren’t expecting many customers to have multiple cores at that point, so their QA would have focused on the single-core behavior. |
