So, I don't know if this is necessarily related to DA4. But its a tweet from October 17th that I just came across. And I don't see it mentioned on this thread in that time frame, so...
Well, either it is an old picture he took whilst visiting Bioware or he saw it randomly somewhere or he has the symbol on his own filing cabinet. I think the last two are the most likely. Either he was intrigued at coming across it randomly so he genuinely wanted to discover the significance to the owner of the filing cabinet (other than simply asking them) or he was just throwing Cullenites a bone because he knows they're starved of information. After all he might have the symbol on his own filing cabinet, except I thought it wasn't the symbol of the Templars but the Seekers of Truth. I'd certainly think more of Cassandra on seeing it rather than Cullen.
It's a bit of a hybrid really. The eye surrounded by flames is definitely the Seekers but the sword surrounded by flames is the Templars. It is a DA2 Templar symbol. I don't know if anyone noticed but in Origins the sword was pointing upwards but it changed round the other way in DA2. Then in DAI it was explained that the constellation Judex was adopted by the Templar Order as showing the Sword of Mercy but was previously associated with the Sword of Justice in Ancient Tevinter and the sword pointing downwards was significant as indicating a guilty verdict and sentence of execution.
Either it's some sort of earlier iteration, an approximation made from whatever was available, something new or merely something that is accidentally similar.

“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”
Yes, thinking about it, Midnight is probably right; it is meant to be the symbol of the Inquisition, only with less flames. May be it was an early example utilising the two symbols associated with the Seekers and Templar Order which then evolved into what we find in game.

It does look like a different iteration of the Inquisition symbol, yeah. Have we seen the eye with the "scar" on the right of it, or the sword with the extra horizontal bit halfway down before?
Dark Horse Comics @darkhorsecomics Featuring work by Greg Rucka, Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir, Carmen Carnero, and Fernando Heinz Furukawa, DRAGON AGE: LIBRARY EDITION Vol. 2 collects #DragonAge comics series Magekiller and Knight Errant, plus commentary and more: bit.ly/2RIOyYT Cover: @sachinteng
Part of me wants to buy it, but then I think they’ll almost certainly do one with all three comics so why not wait until then?
My exact thoughts. I'll digital the most recent one, whatever it's called, when it finally finishes coming out (December is the last third installment I think?) then Hard back the Trilogy later.
Vegan, Year 1 of Med School. Zevran, Fenris, Cullen, and Thane.

It's possible that Deception isn't in the collection because they're already planning another miniseries and want to collect it with that instead, but I agree that it makes sense to wait and see for now. (I am trying to buy fewer physical comics anyway, so I'm going to stick with my digital copies.)
Emily (aka Domino) Taylor pentapod A co-worker just complained how complicated it was to get everything on #DAI to work with FOUR different races x 2 genders = EIGHT character models Me, having worked on #EQ2 which had NINETEEN different races x 2 genders + plus alternate asian versions: 🤣🤣🤣 #gamedev

John Epler @eplerjc I'm not -that- old, but my family history suggests I'm right around the 1/3 mark for age. All I want to do is make games that touch people emotionally. That make them believe in a better world, and that they could be better people.

As I understand it, the man is responsible for both the camera work in Hawke's 'tell them I died at CHATEAU HAAAAAAIIIIINE!!!' scene and letting dwarf Inquisitors ride the Bull. If he decided to retire from video games and open a llama farm tomorrow he could still be very proud of his video game work.
(Alas, I do not have Twitter or I would go tell him so myself.)

This isn't Twitter-related, but I thought it was funny.
BioWare is looking to hire a new Digital Content Specialist and they've advertised it on LinkedIn. I was looking over the qualifications and I saw this in there:
Current knowledge of gaming culture, the gaming market, and the greatest players in the galaxy - our fans. This includes a good knowledge of BioWare portfolio; you should understand why Solas is a jerk, why it had to be Mordin, and which Turian cooked you a burnt steak.
Do not trust to hope. It has forsaken these lands.
