Come on holiday of 2019 release date. Heck, Summer 2019 if they truly follow the Fallout 4/Bethesda model of announcements a few months before the game comes out. that was my first thought but I think fall winter will be a more realistic time frame because I am sure EA is going to want time for Anthem to marinate and even if it's an initial June/July release date I still expect them to delay it till the winter anyways. Hell based on biowares tradition we may even have to wait till Feb of 2020. |

No way DA4 comes out in 2019. They wouldn't have two huge releases that close together. I'm guessing 2020, whether early or holiday, we will see.

Heck, Summer 2019 if they truly follow the Fallout 4/Bethesda model of announcements a few months before the game comes out. I think the Bioware model is a year and a half after the initial trailer. Yeah I know. I was just referencing that the devs made a big deal about how the release of Fallout 4 was handled and I believe at one point said that's what they wanted to lean more towards. Cus announcing so far in advance and showing early stuff that was then later cut from the game was causing more negatives than positives for them.

If there *is* an announcement on that day, I can't see Bioware having let the organizers in on it ahead of time, though. It'd be absolute torture for a fan, keeping that quiet. Dragon Age voice actors have been really embracing Dragon 4ge Day on Twitter. @drunkdalish, who is one of the organizers, approached them each individually via their agents. Alix, Jon, Allegra, and Corrine agreed to donate their time and autographs to the fundraiser, but those were choices they each personally made. It wasn't via BioWare that they got involved. @drunkdalish did plan to approach Sean Traynor about the Dragon 4ge Day festivities, but he announced his departure from BioWare virtually one day after she had planned to try. And it will take some time for them to hire their new Digital Content Strategist (the official title of the person who figures out what to put on the BioWare social media, etc.) so that opportunity was missed this year. But perhaps in future years. |
