Honestly, why wouldn't they release Anthem and DA 4 in the same year, if they are both finished. I mean it's been four freaking years and this isn't RDR2. I think if Anthem doesn't do well, DA could be there to recoup the end of year money, if they can. I dunno. I just don't get the reasoning behind "can't have two games close together*.

None of them were made on Frostbite and EA didn't yet have basically all their game studios trained to use it... |

I agree, speaking for myself I have no desire to play another MMO no matter how its presented but Da4 in the same year yes and if you think about it whos to say that I wouldn't buy Anthem a year later and same goes for those who bought Anthem to buy Da4? to me its a chance they need to take, not all wants to play MP, it could be a win win scenario, least that's how I see it. |

DA and Anthem releasing in the same year *would* theoretically be catering to two different audiences. If they have numbers that show them there's likely going to be negligible overlap, then I can see them releasing Anthem early in the year, then going all hands on deck for DA(which has been in production a while) and releasing it towards the end of the year. If its two different types of players buying the games, they don't compete for sales. The only way they'd compete would be for dev resources and staggering the release schedule to "February and November" or something could take care of that.

It will say that they know their fanbase is not all into multiplayer games, and since Anthem and DA are two different beasts, that they are confident in both games not going to overlap each other. I'm glad I'm not the only one. If Anthem were being developed by anyone other than Bioware, I don't think it would even be on my radar. Its release wouldn't even make me blink. |

On a side note, I guess Dragon Age 2 isn’t being offered to Brazilian XBox users despite being part of this month’s Games with Gold. A lot of fans are upset about it.
