A short film and web series could be starters. If that goes well, then move on to the bigger stuff and eventually a feature film.

As others have said, I don't think a single film really has the space to get into the meat of the world. Even the Seeker film barely touched on the whole mage issue, or the Chantry, or dragons, because there just isn't time to get into all of that nuance. Heck, we've had three games where that was a main or subplot, and an entire novel devoted to the issue, and players still get into arguments over it. Any such film basically ends up being what Seeker was, the telling of a single event or incident. This might be entertaining on its own, but it doesn't do much to tell us about the world.

Any film where they try to work in some of that stuff quickly becomes bloated, like the Hobbit films where they put in a whole bunch of stuff from the Silmarillion to act as backstory in the lead-up to the Lord of the Rings. I'd say one of the more successful examples was the Harry Potter franchise because Harry himself was a stand in for the audience; we learned about the wizarding world right along with him, and each novel (and movie) expanded on previous knowledge without the need to reiterate what we've already learned.

And they need to decide who these films and such are for, who they're marketed to. Are they for the masses, and so require certain things to be explained? Or are they for fans only, who already know all of that stuff? Again I'll point to the Warcraft film that tried to be all things to everyone, and I think was poorer for it. They changed existent lore, either to work better in film (understandable), or just to "look cool" (this is a real quote), so much that the movies are basically their own universe now (if they make more...), while also trying to work in Easter eggs and the like that only fans would get.

Doing a film of an earlier period of history would work better than trying to do the present but in the case of Andraste, which history would they tell? The Chantry version, the scholarly version or the true history? I think the latter is what we are going to discover more of in the next game, in the Tevinter archives.

How about a film showing the rise of Tevinter? There is way more to that than we've previously been told.

That could be neat, especially if they reflected the difference in technology (Ancient Tevinter probably resembling the Roman period rather than the late medieval period at that point)

For my part, I would like to see an animated movie that tackled a more local subject matter, say, focusing on events in one of the Marcher cities we haven't seen or heard much about. I'd like these kind of entries to expand on the lore a bit.
