Β―\_(γ)_/Β― They're obviously joking around  I mean, unless you believe they believe he's the literal elf-Hitler  They've said multiple times to fans asking whether Solas and Lavellan did the deed or not that they've intentionally left the thing ambiguous, and ultimately for players to decide whether it happened or not. |

I could have misinterpreted what someone else said on the matter, though. I don't have a Solasmancer, so I have no stake in that argument.

^ Uh... I thought there was dialogue in that final Trespasser scene where he said that he purposely did not "lie with you" because of who he really was, and so on. The exact line is "I would not lie with you under false pretenses", but I think some people prefer to interpret that as meaning he did, ultimately, show his true character with F!Lavellan, even if he didn't share his other name with her. There's also a line in the vanilla game where the she can claim he is "being grim and fatalistic just to get me into bed" as an attempt to seduce her, and in a callback to an early flirt, he responds "I am grim and fatalistic. Getting you into bed is an enjoyable side benefit." In addition to be one of the more entertaining flirts in the series, it does sort of imply the two have a physical relationship. So yeah, there's evidence for and against both versions. I don't know which camp I personally fall into, but I also don't think it matters too terribly much. |

Also a fair interpretation. One of the things I do love about Solas is that he is the king of ambiguity. Like, even his genocidal stuff at the end... When he tells you about tearing down the Veil, and reshaping the world into that of his time from the raw chaos while the modern world burned, he is answering your question about what he WOULD HAVE DONE if his plan to have Corypheus unlock the orb and die in the attempt had succeeded. We never actually find out what he is planning to do NOW, especially in a friend or romance playthrough, where he realizes that the modern people are people. We only know that he is willing to go as far as destroying this world, if he MUST. |

Yeah, some grimdark. Nobody ever dies in the Arrowverse, despite being killed, in some case, multiple times. Laurel's dead. Just because there is an alternate earth version of her, doesn't mean the version from earth prime isn't still dead. Strikes me as a distinction without a difference, at least as far as the actor is concerned.  Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan. It just cracks me up how many times a killed character has shown up later. |
