Our Player Character will turn out to be Solas in disguise?

Made us think we were working secretly for the Inquisition, but it turns out halfways through that we have really been working for Solas, and then we spend the rest of the game trying to fix the mess we helped create.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I would be really pissed, but for the right reasons, and at the right person: SOLAS (that is, not Bioware).

I think that, as long as it's done in a way that our character could be totally innocent in everything, just an unwilling dupe, AND that we can work toward fixing it, it might be okay.

I think there is precedent for this with Trespasser stating that the Inquisition had both Qunari and elven spies. While he sucks at planning, with little care or foresight as to how his plans affect thousands or millions of lives, or the terrible consequences for the future, he IS good at manipulating events and people. I can certainly see him setting things up in such a way that the new PC works for the Inquisition, perhaps to thwart the Qunari in the first act, but that it works only to a point, after which everything is revealed and Solas himself emerges as the new enemy in the second act and the plot takes a dramatic shift.

There is a very high potential for drama here.


Geez, the more I think about it, the more I'm liking the idea!
