Steven Crowe @crowecomics @mike_Laidlaw I'm part of a fan art and we did a secret Santa. Here's our favorite assassin. Just so you know I'm looking for a job

It's interesting how the illustration of Zevran in World of Thedas Volume 2 has largely accepted by fans as his "canon" portrayal. (I've seen that crow helmet in a number of fan arts.)

For good reason: it looks badass!
I mean, it'd make you stand out like, well, someone wearing a bunch of shinies. It wouldn't be so swell for an assassin trying to stay covet and out of eye but if it is the type of assassinhood that wants people to know which 'hood did what then the whole standing out is to their benefit.

Don't knock the little winds. They're important - for morale.

I want Jennifer Hepler back so she can work on DA4 I'm worried if they make DA4 that it's going to feel too different without Gaider and Hepler. I can live with one of them not being on board but not both. Patrick and Co. are great but their writing styles are in a different vibe than Gaider and certainly than Jennifer, but oh well, I guess both Gaider and Hepler are happy with what they're currently working on.

I really doubt Hepler will work on a Bioware game ever again, after the death threats against her and her children and all (from so-called "fans" over DA2 and ME3). She's been on a couple of interviews now, talking about making games that help people in rl, rather than provide a power-fantasy.

Yup, I heard the stories. I'm torn on it in regards to how it was spun in media, but I think any death threats are asinine and I also think the fan-backlash against her was super immature, calling her "heplerburger" and whatnot and going apeshit just because she said she didn't like gameplay (she's just a writer, c'mon). I just figured as a lot of other backlash movements it was something that started with a /b/ group going "Let's stir up the pot!".
Truly a shame even if it was a bit spun up, and I disliked how she and BioWare handled it over Twitter, with Flynn telling one hater to "go fuck yourself" and stuff. It needed to be said, just not by the respectable people at the top who should be above the sort of rotten-tomato-throwing that always comes up in fanbases.
I definitely draw a line at death threats and personal-space offenses aka outside of social public media, but that said she could've dropped playing victim-who-craves-attention once the controversy had already been stirred up, let alone dropped the whole "this is proof that women are mistreated by men" bullshit.
The "funny" (actually very, very sad) part is this stupid cycle:
- Group dislike something about the story of a game. The complains about it turn into a hate-mongering crusade against the writer; - Writer dislike this crusade. Group says that if writer wants to be a writer, needs a thicker skin or get the fuck out of here; - Writer gets the fuck out of here; - Group complains about lack of good writing, that best writes left; - Also, sees people jumping ship from the company they made the hate-mongering crusade. Concludes the company has a toxic ambient.
That said, I think Patrick Weekes is great and probably the best fit for the series. There is also a lot of great writers still there that were responsible for some of the best parts of Dragon Age, like Sheryl Chee and Mary Kirby.

I agree, but even so I'm certain I'm going to miss Gaider I'm not so sure about missions and such, because I don't know who wrote each one in each game, only a few, but as far as characters go, I love everyone he's written, books included

Well said. This is why we can't have nice things. Groupthink blows.

Amen to that.
Inquisitor: Is that innuendo? Sera: No, it's at the front!
