It was an excellent choice of engine, due to access to EA folks working on it, but like all engines, it takes work to make games.

Hey, I totally include myself in the over-excited category! More than once, I contributed to a derailment that lead to the dreadful Eye of Pinecone being turned upon the thread.

The forums are never restrained in those months before a game comes out. (Don't make me remind everyone about the night someone declared the Fishquisition.)

Make something. Do a Twine game, join a game jam, mod a game with a decent toolset, something. And take one CompSci course.

Nope. If you're not aiming to be a programmer or designer, an intro course on C programming is likely fine.
