*chuckle*
You do you but people sure do love talking about what's missing rather than what's new.
Anyway having more than two races (about that... ) in one cluster would be pretty absurd due to the lack of mass relays. It's so statistically unlikely that it would be nothing short of contrived.
The profile option is in itself completely optional. I have only invested points in Combat and Biotics (for Vanguard) and I don't plan on doing anything else for now. It's also nice knowing that if I wanted to, my Biotic character can actually develop as an Adep without some artificial limitation placed on me.
Armor for squad hasn't been a thing since ME1. You could change their aesthetic. I suppose that's a fair request. Nothing tactical about it though.
Etc...

I have no issue with the changes they made. Also, I like the new profile system because I can play with tactical cloak and an assault drone at the some time. You couldn't do that before. I think that is not exactly because of the profile systems but because they have made all powers available with no class restriction. If they have continued with the classes, but not making some powers class specific, and instead your class being able to access types of powers (combat, tech and biotic) you could end up with the same result. If you were an engineer, infiltrator or sentinel and have access to tech powers you could use tactical cloak with assault drone. Of course, it would be better if Tech Armor was a power instead of profile perk. To sum it up, I didn't like the changes they made. I think most of them appears to be done just for the sake of changing. They didn't get was was good in previous games and improved or add more to it. But I will have to play to see how it would work. Maybe I will like it. Let's wait and see. It just appears that this game will not have a soft spot in my heart as ME2 and 3 has. I've seen a LOT of people complain that they're not as attached to the squaddies as they were to the squaddies from the OT which....... really baffles, honestly. by the end of ME3 you'd spent three whole games with those people! were you instantly attached to Garrus, or Tali, or Liara? I know I wasn't, and I came to adore those characters with all my heart. even by the end of ME1 i didn't have nearly the amount of attachment to the squad as i would come to have by the end of ME3. basically: i think there are plenty of things to be salty about, but this seems silly. if that's your main objection, give it a chance. as to the gameplay, give that a chance as well. believe me, I hate change as much as the next stubborn person, and I say that with 100% sincerity, but usually, once you get used to a thing, it becomes okay. it's just combat, it's not the most important aspect of the game. even the OT changed it up between installments (e.g. I loathe ME2's combat with a fiery passion....... she says, having just finished a Vanguard Insanity run...... what a terrible plan lmao. anyway, that doesn't stop me from liking ME2.)
