So what is the best weapon in the game right now?

Raptor is the best AR

Tried Talon once. Charger x seems way better. (L2P or PS4 aiming issues?)

Im pleased to say i was WRONG regarding the Talon. Its amazing!
-Dont try to snipe with it. (my mistake)
-Look where enemies are heading, and pepper that area with shots.
-Learn how to hit enemies in cover by bouncing off a wall (so satisfying!)
-Great armor penetration!! (compared to 'spray and pray' weapons)
-Especially good, on the Firebase Zero 'rifle shooting lane' (on the far side).

Agreed.  It is pretty darn good.

I'm curious if it is pretty damn good in comparison to other AR (lol) or if it is really objectively good. Just unlocked it yesterday, didn't give it an extensive shot yet, but felt like it was performing as an AR actually should, not really more.

It will not make me forget my Harrier X. Maybe when when I will get the tenth rank who knows.

Well i think we should sorta also share what weapons we have tested and what we found working and what not so much.

Here are some of the weapons i got and how i rank them.


Vanquisher - great dmg, rate of fire, clip, weight. I slap it on almost all my characters. Its so strong that you can do silver whit level 1 character.

Talon - go to pistol on biotics and characters that seek very close combat. Perfect for mele characters as its quite easy to fire once to low the hp or shields and proceed to smash them in the face.

Equalizer - Really damn fine SMG. Its lazer accurate. Perfect for fire from cover - you dont even need to aim to put every single shot in the face of your target. Whit maxed clip this is amazing SMG.

Dahn - i know its strange to put it in that category but hear me out. Its for mele characters only. One out of the two shots will hit .... most of the time. Target gets stagared and easy to punch in the face. Also mele mod on it. But as a weapon this is probably in the "trash list". Bad accuracy ( for a guided weapon this is just bad gun), horrid clip, bad ammo store.


Revenant - from point blank range its not bad ... well not that bad. High rate of fire whit good clip. But you will run out of ammo most of the time. If any weapon is available from above category - take it instead.

Scatergunn - good rate of fire, good clip and thats about it. Bad dmg, really bad spread ( as its fixed 5 pellets in a formation ). It can work on mele character but thats about it.

Rozerad - If this thing had the accuracy of the Equlizer it would be the better SMG... sadly it dont. If you put a scope in it its extreamly accurate - but then its not as good for close combat where its at it best. But regardless its not a bad weapon. Rate of fire ramps up quick and the output is good.

Disciple - the bad version of Talon. Just worst in every possible way. But if you dont have the Talon its workable.



Not gona list their problems. Just gona list the once i have tested and found lacking on gold.
All common and uncommon pistols and SMGs, Sandstorm, Sweeper, Isharay, Lanat, Indra, Shadow ( just lol at this sniper ).


All in all vast majority of the weapons currently in the game are weak or just screwed by mechanics ( Dahn for example is a great gun if it didnt have the derpy "guidance" and horrid accuracy).

Talon? Bouncing of walls? Are you mayhaps talking about the ME-37 Falcon?

Just did a round with vanguisher. Silver/kett apex mission with 50% extra sniper damage. Really see why everyone uses it atm but just wish I wasn't so horrible at sniping. Seems I'm even shittier in it than I was in me3.

Btw has anyone used crusader? Just got it and first thought was "Nice! Probably another shitty ur in my collection"

The Hurricane is insane. Not just by how powerful it is, but the fast reload helps a ton. Until I got it, I was disgusted by every weapon, they seemed so weak compared to everything in ME3.

It rips thru everything. I have yet to put any boosters on it, still wastes everything in Gold.

Shadow is the best weapon hands down.

If anyone seriously feels that the Equalizer is better than or equal to the Hurricane.. you're F'n stoned son. I finally got around to using my Equalizer X yesterday at the recommendation of this board.. tried it for 5-6 games, good equipment each time.. and no, it's not better than the Hurricane. I dont think I'll be using this thing again. It's not bad.. but the Hurricane is objectively better.
