We don't have AP or Warp ammo any more. I've tried cryo and inc ammo and keep spamming detonate powers. Seems like those fiends still take forever to bring down.
Is there something that works? Currently I worry more about fiends than ascendants.

Hell yes - unlike reapers where you fear banshee and casually kite the brute, with kett it's casually kiting the ascendant while keeping a LONG distance away from fiends. xD Their sync is so stupidly broken right now.
Anyway would be nice to see AP rounds back in the game in future DLC.

for fiends my favourite manoeuvre is jet pack backwards/sideways whilst pumping rounds into its face from the talon so long as you don't have the sight fitted it does better damage than the shotguns although it takes longer to reload and this game has no reload cancelling ..... in fact anything you do after starting the reload leaves you back at needing to reload... no idea why you cant jetpack and reload I mean you can sprint and reload in real life ..... I guess all those console scrubs couldn't figure out how to reload cancel so bioware made it impossible to achieve for the master race as well ... for the ascendant you need all your powers coolded down or a full supply of nades so you can spam that shit the second you drop his shield if you time it right you can take him out in one go, unless your spamming ops pack to insta reload your gun ......so many times though that fucker just teleports halfway across the map and appears midway through doing the insta kill animation just to screw with you...... btw my fav kill so far has to be remnants on silver wave 6 final objective twin destroyers half a dozen other stuff all pops in the hallway ontop of the objective, I poped an rpg up and boom dropped everything ressed the poor sap who had almost finished the objective finished it off myself and then proceeded to kill the last 2 mooks, oh and I don't know if your aware but the destroyers can insta kill you they even use the exact same red bubble of death the ascendant does only they don't trap you inside theirs and just like the fiend it reaches through floors so if your not aware your stood above one it makes for a very bad day

A. High base damage
B. Melee (no I'm not kidding, Krogan Firegod and Ghetto avenger can absolutely wreck armored enemies)
C. Fire based whatever

Atari adept melee recharge with full AF field debuffs going... so broken. You do have to semi circle around and I throw my powers...practicing for when I unlock the last offensive biotic perk that will give me EVEN more melee damage after landing powers

Does the fiend have a weak spot like the destroyer? When the destroyer uses its middle beam attack it opens up in its chest and you can kill them really easily if you shoot there...
Was wondering if those fleshy gill looking patches on the back of fiend are a weak spot? ... Otherwise I just cobra them because they are too risky to let hulk around

Yeah, I noticed that. I also found that I can take out Nullifiers pretty fast using inc ammo and spamming both of my powers for FEs. Using an Equalizer to keep priming.

Vanquisher is probably the best. I have a talon 8 and it works decently, it takes out gold berserkers fast but they have big easy to hit crit spots. Against hydras its slower but not too bad, incendiary ammo seems to help if you have that. Didn't cryo ammo weaken armor in me3? That might be good too. Flamethrower is somewhat dissapointing. Grenades and tripmines specced for armor damage do pretty well. Stickies from cloak with armor damage and the 2 second damage boost upgrade wreck armor. Melee spam builds are effective against armor. Take a talon or a shotgun and occasionally shoot between melees. A melee asari adept can punch a berserker to death fairly fast. Would not advice it against fiends though

Or does it actually say armor penetration? I've been sceptical about if those mods actually help against armor or just help you shoot through cover.

The nullifier is pretty easy to take out. The fiend is a whole 'nother animal (pun intended). He's a little overtuned. Most weapons with a high rate of fire seem to do the best, even better than high powered weapons like Isharay, Vanquisher, etc. I was really surprised at how well the Charger X did on armored enemies. The Hurricane on the Ascendant's orb is pretty neat--sparks fly everywhere.
I read somewhere that you should spec powers to be effective against armor. I think you should spec them to do extra shield damage. Armor isn't much of an issue.

I kill (or rather: damage) stuff with the blue biotic shield when I don't melee enemies. That's how bad the guns are. Sometimes I shoot the Katana I because the store decided to only level up the charger and Predator for me.

We don't have AP or Warp ammo any more. I've tried cryo and inc ammo and keep spamming detonate powers. Seems like those fiends still take forever to bring down. Is there something that works? Currently I worry more about fiends than ascendants. Cloaked Isharay with Incinerate and quadruple Sticky mines takes it down quite nicely on silver. No experience on Gold.

Tried mine both high levels. No appreciable difference. It will let you shoot through certain walls, etc.

I have one at level X and another at level VII. But sadly, it had no noticeable effect on Armor. I could very well be the intention of the mod and it is just broken ATM.

Best way to kill armor? Headshots/weak point shots.
