Additional problem I found is that I can't deny them power usage. I think in MET there was an option to only let them use defensive powers automatically, leaving offensive power usage to the player's discretion. It's not additional problem, it's the same problem. Since you can't control the use of squad's powers, there's no sense in not letting them use powers on their own.

they ruined the game with this. Its one of the bigger flaws on andromeda. Its incredible how they messed up one of the main good things we had in ME games. Just incredible.

It's not additional problem, it's the same problem. Since you can't control the use of squad's powers, there's no sense in not letting them use powers on their own. I feel there's a difference here. Even with the current system, denying squadmates the use of offensive powers would ensure that they are ready whenever players want to use them. Additionally to that, I feel that the way squadmates use powers has changed and it's usability decreased. In ME2-3 squadmates' powers were used from player's POV, which meant immediate use. Now, squadmates have to get in-range (which they have smaller then the player) and in-LOS of the target, which quite often means they don't shoot the power off in time to detonate or prime.
