I mean. I guess I get the lore angle, trying to make the Kett seem more scary and such, but if any faction needed a new unit it's the Outlaws. I legit target their mooks and marksmans first because I can just kite everything else. Remnant could use some new threats too, other than Destroyers and Observers they need some help.

...also if you think Observers are threat, GG. They're the only ones I can reliably weakpoint on the faction.

They're the only things in the remnant that seem to deal any damage. Nullifiers can simply be dodged and their AI feths up when you get close. Assemblers? Meh in general. Breachers just die if you see them before they get to you. Observers aren't hard to take down but they just fly over cover and track when you try to move and melt through shields/health.

Observers give me trouble, too. They have relatively high dps, and they sometimes clip through geometry. Not to mention they have a tendency to start firing as soon as they have line of sight/effect on you. They're phasers also eat right through shield gate, too. That said, I feel like most of my issues are just lack of situational awareness, like making sure I have good cover against any potential observers that I see on the compass indicator.

That new enemy type was hard. I used TWO cobras on him before he went down (I did this because the rest of my team got wiped by an Ascendant, and the Ascendant was on my taillllll).

If I was a betting man they'll have the challenge in for a while just to test data and see if the unit needs any tweaking and then release it fully in a couple weeks or so after making some changes.

I've been away from the console but there is a strike team mission called "Something's gone Berserk." On the app, which matches the title of the article. It's bronze though, which is somewhat dissapointing.

lol they took the strongest unit of the easiest faction, buffed him, and put it on the strongest faction. There you have it, they've balanced the factions.

Just fought the "Behemoth" in that mission and my god are they bullet sponges. I think they're tankier than the Fiend. It's basically the Anointed combined with the Fiend. Fiend's health and Anointed's machine gun. So far boring changes.

There are piercing mods for all four gun types in the uncommons, in my case they didn't drop til after the uncommon weapons and characters were maxed.
