My Ryder tries to fuck everyone, as long as no strings are attached. He's Kirk on steroids. I guess I've ended up fulfilling the stereotype of the promiscuous bisexual but oh well. It's been entertaining.

There is no way that gay or bi male Ryder is more popular. You might see a lot of people talk about Gil in the romance thread or that Gil thread is has the second most replies in the character section (only behind Jaal's), but that's because some people (including me) are very salty about the state of m/m romance. These people are still simply very small minority compared to ME:A players as a group. That said, my Ryder is totally gay and bangs both Gil and Reyes. They're certainly not over half, but I'd say fans of such a thing (not necessarily gay or bi men themselves) are up to 1/4-1/3 of the fandom and up to 1/5-1/4 of the total players, or at least those that take the time to finish the game (and 'fan' can range in degree). Its an at least fairly strong portion of the loudest customers. And that does matter as it'll have more reach. I went gay and going Reyes because Gil romance is terrible so far. I'm willing to change that in a future playthrough if things change on the series' end. Example: my boyfriend picked Miranda for ME2-ME3 when I couldn't even consider her, but since Citadel DLC I certainly plan to go there someday. I'll go Jaal in a heartbeat. Not my favorite character in ME, I haven't seen any in MEA I adore really, but my number one pick for LI. |

I think the actual number of people that play m/m romances is probably substantially lower than BSN polls, but probably higher than what some people expect, because a lot of girls play them and some people just do a bunch of the romances in different play throughs. He was (is) xD, Expected someone like that in ME:A but I can't say it well because Dorian content vs M/M content in ME:A is... well, even Dorian romance content has more than the straight ones in ME:A |

the majority of my characters in RPGs are bi, i am bi i like when i can insert my sexual orientation in my characters, male or female.
right now i'm only playing the multiplayer but i'm planning to have a romance with vetra and heavily flirt with reyes.

I'm going to play bi male Ryder when I get the game (unfortunately for me, there's not much time at the moment anyway and money has to be spend on other things as well. Damn you, food, clothes and alcohol!)... I guess it's going to be Reyes as main romance option and Peebee for zero-gravity fun (it can't be that hurtful... right?). Dunno. That's what I did with my Sara Ryder, zero-g with Peebee, but also flirted a little with Reyes, and she has a snarky comment about it if you take her along on one of the side quests. It might just be a banter she has with all Ryders, but you kinda can't help feeling like a jerk if you did sleep with her. Anyway, for Scott, I haven't decided yet. I actually wanted to romance him with Jaal, if he turned out bi, but that didn't happen, so I have to rethink. Maybe I'm a little burnt out on romances, or I can't make up my mind just yet, but I'm sort of liking single Ryder for now. |
