I finally got the game to install button at 42% and the install dialog shows up. Problem is when I click it. Origin starts the install and then just goes back to the install button: Video of it: s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=82478299387978828232DxDiag: s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=68160479787821781707Sorry for using tinyupload -couldn't find site that didn't require registration. I have tried all the EA trouble shooting: Making sure OS can run it: Disable Antivirus Disable FirewallDisabled UAC Open ports in the router Deleting Origin files in the local files and cleaning the registry. Clean Boot Clean Install even on brand new Win 10 ENT OS All that done and still the same. Tried EA support-->To try the above. I am beginning to think I am not going to get this game to run. What about anyone else? Any Ideas on something I missed? My version of the issue fixed: bsn.boards.net/post/664992

I have this exact same problem, I got the game yesterday night and am in the same Install loop as you. Would love someone to come up with a fix.

Yeah, I have the latest version of Java installed. I'm thinking it has something to do with my hard drive setup. I have a solid state drive as C: for bootup and I store things on my standard drive as F:. Do you have multiple drives on your computer as well?

So I've removed the system reserved section completely and still no change, a friend of mine with multiple drives was able to download the game without problem so something else must be the problem.

Since it didn't... Do you have the Media Feature Pack for N editions of Windows 10 Version 1607 installed? If you don't and you also have Windows update disabled try enabling it for the mean time and download the appropriate file (86-32bit & 64-64bit) install and let the system update with only that install to be updated. Then reboot. Only disable the Windows Update after the reboot once back in Windows.

Got this from EA Answers HQ. Seems you are not the only one. Some got it working with creative solutions. answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Mass-Effect-Andromeda-Install-stuck-41/td-p/5945808/page/2Page 2 has solutions you did not mention here. Hope one of them is a solution. Turning on "Safe Mode Downloading" under Diagnostics within the Origin client is the simplest. Might never know and give it a try. It basically slows down downloading. I have multiple SSD's and also installed MEA not on the C drive without any problems. I have a very fast connection but downloaded thru VPN at a more snail pace due to get 3 days earlier access.

I tried a combination of renaming to the 123 and Safe Mode Downloading now got continuous calculating for 15 hours straight so far. Also for me it gets to 41% and then goes to the install button... no further download does it do... no 42,43 ect. just straight to install button. Sorry nothing worked. I can only imagine how you must feel, it must be infuriating!

Try to run Origin or the installer as Admin? Make sure the installation directory has all Read/Write permissions?

Sorry nothing worked. I can only imagine how you must feel, it must be infuriating! It is. I actually wonder if it may be the disk issue.. one is set to system and another is set to primary boot.... i wonder. I checked mine and they are both set as primaries.

I actually run Windows 7 not 10 do you run 10? Window 10 Enterprise Edition which is equivalent to the Windows 7 Professional Edition. Try to run Origin or the installer as Admin? Make sure the installation directory has all Read/Write permissions? Yes & Yes. Yes. I believe that like goldenknightrr has said it is probably in the hard drive settings. Actually think I may have hit something I can try tomorrow. It is. I actually wonder if it may be the disk issue.. one is set to system and another is set to primary boot.... i wonder. I checked mine and they are both set as primaries. All four of my hard drives are set as primaries as well. I believe it may be related to the Boot and System information being on seperate drives: My Drive C: is set as boot active ect. but my Drive F has seperate partition set as System reserved with the subtext of being set to the system drive. Need to figure out how to switch them. goldenknightrr Is this the same issue with your setup: ? Anyway I am going to try this Idea to fix it tomorrow: www.eightforums.com/installation-setup/48143-create-system-reserved-partition-after-installation.html#post392105

I also use Win 10 Enterprise 64bit, it can be quite a nuisance when it comes to granting permissions.
Delete "Temp" folder located in "C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local", set UAC (User Account Control) Settings to "Never notify", located in "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts", then restart your PC and try installing again.

Sorry, can't upload pics but my System Reserved is on the C drive where windows 10 is installed. I use Windows 10 pro / 64 bit. All this because of Boot and System information being on separate drives? I hope you can get it changed and above all, make a difference and get MEA to work and finally start playing.
Many tell me a pro edition is Ludacris since I use my computer primarily for gaming but my experience has been, the devil is in the details, and to resolve a lot of minor things you had to have windows pro not home edition. So I always spend that bit more and luckily can afford it.
Rooting for you.

I did those rather early in this debugging. When I first started this troubleshooting it took me a few days to try clearing both Origin and the computer temp folders. I tried each separately and together. It did nothing either way though. I disabled the UAC completely through command input code in the PowerShell ISE x64 As well as using the Take Ownership and Grant Full Admin context menu commands to remove any lingering permission not being granted. Thank you for your encouragement. I have been at this since March 20th. I will always persist. I used to not be able to upload pictures myself -tinypic my new favorite site for doing so though. Played a bit of ME:A some time ago when visiting a friend to get a feel and taste for it but not anymore -out of town they are. Indeed Windows 10 Pro Edition is ludicrous. To have Pro vs other editions PRE-Windows 10 was indeed the correct course of action. With Windows 10 however both Home and Pro are nearly identical... identical in the fact that they both allow telemetry and have MS Edge. Two things that as far as I know only the Enterprise allows the COMPLETE shut down of. Also the Enterprise edition is the only version I have found where the scheme of Cortana can be quickly deleted off my system -without so much rig-a-mo-row. To the topic at hand: I managed to switch the subsystem info for the drive from F:/ to C:/ That program is a life saver: Trying to download a fresh copy of ME:A... I sure hope this works -I would hate to go through all this trouble for the Nth time for nothing...hope I didn't just jinx myself... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5/6/2017 7:15 P.M. EST UPDATE:Partial Success... Steps: 1. Got my system info and boot info on same drive: C:\ 2. Disabled All Hard Drives but C:\ 3. Installed Fresh OS. 4. Installed Origin -keeping DEFAULT INSTALL LOCATIONS 5. Left Windows Firewall active state; not disabled (Thank you Microsoft for bonking my Malwarebytes Protection!) 6. Set Origin to be allowed to go through Windows Firewall -public and private 7. Created a folder in location C:\ Called just: "Program"-------> "C:\Program" 8. Copied the Touchup.dat, Touch.exe, Cleanup.dat and Cleanup.exe from the __Installer folder in ME:A Directory. 9. Ran Origin as Administrator. 10. Clicked install and it completed this time around... according to the install log. 11. Rebooted and then went back and ran Origin as Administrator and button said Play. Apparently something in my computer hardware required the stupid Windows Firewall, all excess drives to be disabled and a folder called "Program" to be made in C:\ location. Maybe it could be because ALL four of my hard drives are the EXACT SAME MODEL... maybe they are all seen as one drive? Do you have a system reserved disk sector? Yes I do its my E: Is this true for you as well aside from the SSD? All Hard Drives the same exact same model? To note though the game DID NOT launch but now have access to the repair option so I am going to try that first.

Just wondering, did you manage to get MEA going?
I wonder if disconnecting a drive one by one would work faster while trying downloading MEA and reconnect after download. Also have space enough where windows 10 is installed to put Origin and MEA if need be.
Yes, I know reached dried stalks of grain thinking!

I have this exact same problem, I got the game yesterday night and am in the same Install loop as you. Would love someone to come up with a fix. Yes! Sorry for the delay took me this long to get it running. I have got a rather slow internet speed -no need for me to digress on that -I am sure Alan9 could explain it. The steps above but highly modified. Began the ME:A Download 18GB. 9. Once the download was done -I Copied the Touchup.dat, Touch.exe, Cleanup.dat and Cleanup.exe from the __Installer folder in ME:A Directory to the "C:\Program" folder. 10. Made sure those four files were now in both locations. 11. Then Ran Origin as Administrator. 12. Clicked install and it completed this time around... according to the install log: Product GUID, Calling touchup_SetUninstallRegKey, forcing 64 bit registry completed this time around-completed with exit code zero! 13. Ran Origin as admin and it showed the play button! -it was greyed out...said update available...right clicked on the gear and tried to click install patch... same issue again as install button -Looping nothingness. 14. So taking no chances I rebooted verified #13 issue and getting the same result -I uninstalled Origin, used CCleaner to erase all origin data in the the registry and the temp folder. 15. Also DELETED THE ORIGIN FOLDERS in the AppData locations: Local and Roaming -Then emptied the recycle bin. 16. Rebooted, reinstalled Origin -again keeping default install locations as administrator. 17. Ran Origin and it found ME:A. 18. However the play button was there but again greyed out and like before said game update available -except this time I right clicked the gear icon and left-clicked install patch -this time it RAN. 19. The download began -not the 18GB crap -but the full 45 GB download! - Finally completed after 4 1/2 straight days! Play button is now active. 20. Launched the task-manager to make sure the process of Andromeda is running. 21. Clicked Play button and according to the task-manager it began to load -took 5 minutes but the game LOADED! Ironically enough though upon launch I seemed to get the same issue others have had: black screen with audio and no visual. A problem that for me however was a simple fix: ALT+TAB then ALT TAB again. Now I got a functioning game I also tried this with the ME3 Demo... and it works but messed up ME:A -Lucky that was at the start. So I guess it now boils down to if I want to use a game for origin it looks like it will only be one game at a time. Thank you very much EA. I keep trying to be patient with you but I am nearly at the end. Please learn from Uplay or Steam-at least those programs work with this setup.

Thank you for posting all of this. It's a lot! Well done.

After hell and back again I do hope you enjoy the game. Hope I never have to go thru all of that. Thank you for posting all of this. It's a lot! Well done. Receptus Neque Deditionem UPDATE: -------------- 6/15/2017 I have discovered that Origin only installs the partial install (the 18GB pre-load crap) in the Program files x86 location. While Origin installs the whole game to the PROGRAM folder - a folder I had to create and put the four files in. I tried moving the files over to my game drive once the install was done. Origin decided the game was missing and began to download another copy of ME:A. So if I want to run ME:A... The game can't be on my Game Drive IT HAS TO BE in C:/Program. Yeah. Thank You EA. Strike 24 if you were counting them. UPDATE: 6/23/2017 -------------- After a few updates (1.08 currently) from bioware I can say that this methodology still works. Also after some more trouble shooting I can say that it is possible for me to now use mods. All I need now do is back up the C:\Program folder into a 7Zip file and restore should something go wrong.

Update 7/24/2017: So far game is functioning ok. Mods do make it a bit irritating... after each update or restart that is. Game will not launch without repairing and then reinstalling mods with the frosty editor. A slight annoyance but still fixable. So far all these Mods -excluding emo cora work fine at the latest mod release with game version 1.09: bsn.boards.net/post/801176/thread

I am glad you can play the game and enjoying yourself with mods. It is still strange you can't deviate from C:/Program. Mine is on a D: SSD without problems.
