Been kinda hoarding these so far. (Saving up for gold, but then kinda forgot.) Which is fine, except completion times could be faster if I use them, right?
My theory on best uses vs Outlaws:
1 Uploads Objective
2 Devices Objective
3 Multiple Krogan Berserkers
4 Hack Objective
5 Hyrda
Probably class/gear dependent. (My gun seems good vs Hydras, but not vs Krogans.)
Im also wondering about cost/ROI of spending all 5 , versus using more sparingly as in 2 on average. Lets see, If I cut time from 16 to 15 min by using the last 3, thats increasing ¢ pr min from 3437,5 to 3666,6 = 229 more. Assuming the cost of a Cobra is 1k, thats 3k spent for an added return 3437,5 over 15 min.. (Cost may even be a little higher, since requirements for other supplies are probably already covered when buying supplies x2 for each mission..) So, its probably best to limit use to 2 pr mission on average..

I only use Cobras on wave 6 or 7. Mainly 7 to minimize annoyances. I can't kill stuff when some big dude is standing in front of the little dudes. GTFOOTW!

No reason to hoard or try to save these things. One gold match let you buy like 25 x 2000 supply pack... so only unreasonable people will try to save it.
That said... I don`t think people need strategy for Cobra.
What they need is enough experience or good intuition to be able to tell when they are cornered and need to use Cobra regardless of wave or objective.
...If I see a player using a medi-gel or a Cobra prior to extraction wave... I use all my medi-gel and Cobra just to save that person if needed because they are above average PuG players whom are trying hard.

Also.. it`s only 1/3 as powerful than the ME3MP one... to clear out most powerful target in gold difficulty three people need to use cobra at the same time. I can understand why they weakened it though. Only 7 waves and 2 objective waves. If Cobra was as powerful as its original... the game would be utter joke to clear. |

I use them whenever pressed into a situation which might end up with me using a bunch of other equipment like Medigel or Ops Packs. They solve problems, but not like they used to. They're pretty shitty.

They do about 10% the damage of the original cobra which is just pathetic, it's worse than the avenger. I'm still trying to figure out a missile glitch to compensate for the lack of damage. Plus I just lost a whole bunch of credits again so yeah.

I use Cobras whenever I feel like shooting something with a rocket launcher. Period.
I don't expect to ever run short of them because I get one every time I buy a pack for the gels/ops.
I cannot imagine a world in which I could muster enough giving-a-crap to worry about conserving missiles and wouldn't want to be the kind of sad, miserly bastard that did.
C'mon, fire all the Cobras you feel like firing and buy more if necessary. They are cheap, life is short and winter is coming.

I use them frequently. No strategies, I just get a kick out of it. And I don't have to worry about stealing kills from my teammates, cuz dat damage.
Even gimped though, 20 cobras on a moderately organized team should make for some quick matches since you only have six waves with spawn budgets.
Has anyone noticed that the cobra is one of the only actions that won't interrupt your reload? WTF. Say one thing about biower, say they know how to troll you.

You can buy rockets with mission funds. If all we have is this 70 pt gear to buy, I will have thousands of unused mission funds in a few months... Might as well use five rockets a game to speed it up...
I'll triple rocket an ascendant in a pug game with a weaker character, IDGAF. I won't try rocketing a fiend anymore because he laughs at you and sync kills you from outta know where as you try to get a second shot off...

Even on Gold only acceptable wave that Cobras could be used for is 6, otherwise kind of a waste. Though I'm not really a picky one or one to complain because as soon as I fire off one Cobra usually holding onto all 5 till wave 6 I'll just be like f*** it and fire all 5 of them, generally accompanied by me going.
F*** you, f*** you, f*** you, and f*** you, alright boys I'm out of Cobras hopefully extract ain't too bad.

i'll use them on any game level if I bounce into a room that's swamped or the choke point is so clumped and target rich theres no chance of getting through it alive, on the other hand i'll randomly use it when I misshit the number 3 key as well ....

Cobra should only be used by other players after I join game with two players dead, me and the other remaining player kill all the enemies except the big boss, and then we take the big boss down to 1/4 health. This is the correct time to use the Cobra.  |
