I agree with most of what he said from what I've experienced in 30+ hours so far. But with the bugs and technical issues, I can't go higher than a 5/10. If they patch some of this stuff I may be able to go as high as a 7, but that's probably it.
Some of the writing is terrible in parts. I watched Sara Ryder try to flirt with Suvi, and I swear they wrote it like Sara was a tween asking someone out for the first time.
Also, the scenes when for every time you get on the Tempest, leave a planet or anything become annoying when you're doing these quests that have you going back and forth between places for no reason whatsoever. You can't even get on the ship without taking off.

Get ready for under powered combos as well. I've got singularity and throw and the passives in the adept tree. And I was blowing the shit out of them. Still took me half an hour. Personally I never really relied on combos; I just tried to build my character to deal as much damage as possible, along with whatever I can craft. I just sniped the shit out of the orb then put in headshots when the exaltation shield was disabled. I had Jaal who was always pretty good at putting in potshots, and by miracles of miracles, actually stayed in cover beside me most of the time and even shot at the orb himself. |

I actually thought he would trash the game. This is solid points, and bugs are piling up when you hit Kadara. The Nexus bug not be able to leave or not be able to get into. Made me after made a workaround witch took me several hours, got the bug back not be able to get into the nexus. made me skip Nexus missions. And after that started to be a save scum.

Get ready for under powered combos as well. I've got singularity and throw and the passives in the adept tree. And I was blowing the shit out of them. Still took me half an hour. What's your other power? I tried Singularity and Throw out with Pull, Lance, and Charge. They were all a bit underwhelming but it comes down to separate problems on all 3 builds. If Singularity is your only primer, you are looking at big down periods when it is on cooldown, which can be particularly bad when enemies are spread out. If Throw is your only detonator you are not abusing Singularity's burst potential. My gut feeling is this just isn't a good build even though both powers are fine individually. I did just found an item that gives +50% recharge speed might try it out with shockwave or something else that can prime and detonate. Combo's however are not underpowered. Lance is amazing for combo's when combined with any of the various shield recharge mechanisms. Currently my Sentinel running Energy Drain, Incinerate and Lance rips things apart with combo's. Annihilation and Lance is another brutal combination for combinations. |

Why Vanguard? Engineer and Infiltrator are the easiest to play. Vanguard you can die easily by having enemies swarm you. If you have the explorer profile getting out of swarms is pretty easy. The ability to pass through solid objects makes a huge difference. I see. I prefer the Infiltrator profile with cloak, Remant Vi, and Assault Turret as my powers. I just snipe/cloak in the distance while my pets distract and kill everything that moves. |
