Ranking ME:A's characters

Top Tier-I will always remember with fondness

Mordin (Obviously his character arc and personality were enjoyed and a great part of the game. One of the best characters)
Garrus (Bro in space. Once he became vigilante him and shepard are the best)
Vetra (I Love characters who care for their siblings, and she is surprisingly sweet with enough bite)
Liam (Just a good guy, when he messes up I kinda like him more, I feel Liam and his outlook is at the heart of the game and I love that)
Drack (he loves his family so dearly and is so old. I love him. Tough and caring is my jam)
Wrex (He's fun but I love from the very beginning he had a driving focus. Seeing him come into his own in 2 was great)
Grunt (Shepard's son. Citadel DLC just sorta proves it. He's an idiot but he's my idiot)

High Tier- I liked them but just didn't click with me

Javick (Funny and improved the overall game with his banter and outlook, best DLC character by far)
Jaal (A good introduction to a new race, I like he wasn't just a codex but a complicated crew member in his own right)
Cora (A bit disapointed our first Huntress is human, feel Jack covered everything on biotic freak but interesting and a phenomenally written character)
Tali (Interesting, I love that each game gave more of her character, like wrex her arc stretched over every game. Grows greatly inbetween)
Jack (I mean she's fun and grows, she's wild in a way Bioware never did before or since, and I like the uniqueness)

Mid Tier-They are not bad, but I have hang ups

Samara-(She made me feel, but also her character really made no sense)
Kaiden- (Petty reason, but his voice actor kept making me think he was Carth, it didn't help they had similiar outlooks)
Thane- (I mean in some ways he suffers Carth syndrome, but mostly the flashbacks left too many questions in my head and distracted me from his character)
Liara- (Good character if a bit bland. She was there because she was the only character fated to survive. Her arc felt rushed and unearned.)
PeeBee- (Solid, I like she has multiple motivations but sometimes it felt she was quirky just to be quirky)
Legion- (Interesting and compelling, but late to the game and seemed shoehorned into a pinochio story when it felt there was more to do with him)
Zaeed- (fun, one of the few squaddies that felt legitimately renegade,but he didn't have all that much

Low Tier-Wasted potential in my opinion

Edi-(I mean she only became a companion because most of the others were dead. Both her body and arc felt gratuitous. She had little and felt empty)
James-(Only existed because most of yor squad is dead. He is new and has no missions to get us to understand him, we find nearly nothing about him, with only a bland, joining N7 when all the other characters are worried for their planets)
Jacob-(Not why you think. His loyalty mission is the only one that felt like it had nothing to do with his personality or goals and Fem Shep felt continually creepy whenever she hit on him or even talked to him. Very very little characterization and a stereotype from the start)
Kasumi- (A one note character. While nearly every other character has more to them, Kasumi just seems like a thief. She had a lover who was also a thief, but in her dangerous business, that doesn't feel odd. Felt more could be done with her)
Morinth- (I mean she is Samara in nearly every way except she can be flirted with and can get a game over. Not much reason to have her except to renegade all the way. It doesn't make much sense)
