Least Favorite Squadmate in Andromeda

I actually love all of the companions. Personally, I think Drack is the worst, and I even thought he was great. My problem with Drack is he is another generic krogan with the same temperament that Wrex and Grunt had. I liked his sob story about almost losing the will to live and finding a new purpose, but otherwise he was rather generic. Someone like Vorn would have been far more interesting as a companion.

I think I may have enjoyed Liam's loyalty mission the most. It was absolutely hilarious. They even took a line straight from Han Solo out of A New Hope. I loved every second of it. Liam was certainly impulsive, but it made his character interesting and unpredictable in my eyes.

I would pick up Reyes as a crew mate. He is like a Garrus 2.0 bromance wise.

Agreed! He was bit of a cliché , but was a type of Zaeed (or Garrus) and has an edge to him. Definitely not a boring character.

I actually like Jaal, despite the "tell don't show" problem he and the rest of the squad suffer from. I liked his loyalty mission. My bigger issue is with the whole non-alienness of the Angara as a whole and how first contact was handled so unceremoniously.

Peebee was... tolerable. She didn't bother me as much as Liam, but the problem with her was mostly that she was pretty much a walking trope, the flighty impulsive person who struggles to settle down and commit. Still, not too bad just not that interesting.

Vetra was the Protective Big Sister... and that's it, that is the full extent of her character, there really wasn't much more to her and that was disappointing. I can't say I disliked her really and I'm glad they resisted making her another daddy issue case, but another one that wasn't very interesting at the end of the day.

Cora, I mostly take issue with her because of how I was tasked with comforting HER after MY father died somehow and because she was way too into those Asari commandos. Despite that, she was okay, just a bit one note.

Drack scratched my Krogan itch and that he did well, but he didn't have much of substance to add as a character to distinguish himself.

I guess my problem with these characters as a whole is that they all come across as very simple, only hitting one note in the character stories and hitting only that one note for the rest of the game.

And Liam was just annoying as hell.

For me, apathy is worse than loathing, lol. Make me angry at a character. Make me want to punch them off my ship. Make me feel SOMETHING at least. That's better​ than mild disinterest.

Cora had some bite to her at the beginning of the game, and I'll give her that. It saved her from falling into the apathy column for me.

It seems for some of you "I hate Liam" is code for "my fragile masculinity is threatened by another human male". Either that or racism (comparing him to Jacob? Really?)
I like Peebee, but she fucked up big time too. But that's ok cuz she's a booblilicious space nymph, right?

I don't dislike Liam. He just doesn't have any skills that impress or help me much. Same problem Jacob had. Better talk to Bioware on that bit of discrimination.   ...and their characters were flat.

Wait.... I remember Cora winning the 'favorite human squadmate of all time' election by a landslide. And here she's on second place for least favorite squadmate. Are human squadmates seriously that bad compared to alien ones or is one of the polls showing a 'biased' answer?

I should add a caveat, which is that future games can always improve on a character through further development. I didn't particularly like Kaidan or Liara in ME1, and by the end of ME3 I adored then. I already like Cora and Liam much better than ME1 Kaidan and Liara, so we'll see of anything comes of them in future games. Few characters are unsalvageable.
