I hope BioWare can improve a lot of conversations like that across the game on their own initiative and not just because someone made a meme that is repeated across the internet. Maybe, but I can bet all the most memefied scenes get priority

BW tends to only fix some things after we scream and cry for them to. The real problem is: either they failed to see those issues and/or they didn't had time to.

xLetalis did a general comparison video (I swear this guy never sleeps): Noooo they changed Lexi's expression. That was my favorite meme from all of this. Never fails to make me laugh. It's just so cartoony and silly.

I guarantee you that it would be the latter. As much as we love to think people delude themselves, I am willing to bet money that they caught this early on but rediverted resources to crush bugs prior to this year. Remember how prior to gold status, the team took out several hundred bugs in the build? That was AFTER the initial release date of the game before it was pushed to March. I can't imagine how broken the build was prior to the game going gold.

Well, that's a start, but I wonder.... BW, really, why-why did you had to refuse extra 6 month that EA offered you to polish your game? It is clear that you can make it look good, and it would have been totally different experience then. Maybe would not have fixed character writing, but at least game would not feel in a "everything but combat is crap" way. Did ppl in upper managment really though they could push out halfbaked product and nobody would notice? Hell, I am replaying Dragon Age Origins right now and dialogues, including facial expressions, look better and more natural than many Andromeda dialogues, and that's not a hyperbole. The problem now is that once you see something - you can't unsee it, so no matter how well dialogue scenes will be remade, things like "my face is tired" will always be remembered in their original state, and cause cringe each time. Anyhow, I really hope that the person responsible for obviously unpolished release and thinking that gamers are complete imbeciles, will get a hemmoroid the size of Krogan fist up his or her ass. 6 month later MEA will launch right into RDR2. Even current BW is not that dimwit.

Well, UBI learned that the hard way with AC:Unity ruining Syndicate sales despite Syndicate being a solid game all around. Seeing parallels here, similar can be expected for the next ME installment. Screw the reputation and future sales - we want more money now!So much for not being that dimwit... At any rate you cant deny that game needed polish, whether month, two or more, it does not matter. But hey, dont let me keep you from apologizing BW, ppl like you are one of the main reasons to how they make their living.

Damn it. This just makes me wish that this game got delayed till summer as rumored before. Also did Ryder's facial animation get improved? I don't recall ever seeing it that expressive or am I just numbed by the whole facial animation fiasco? I really need to see what my Ryder looks like in the prologue. That was the worst I encountered so far. But overall I think she looks better post-patch, but a lot of it has to do with the more lifelike eyes.

Do you have an actual solid source that EA was offering the developers six extra month or are we pulling random numbers out of thin air? So true, I have no idea where he saw that EA offered them 6 more months to finish the game, EA is more likely the one wanting the game to be released as soon as possible before the end of the fiscal year, they made the same thing back in 2012 with mass effect 3 where the game would have really benefited to have more time, They release battlefield 4, dragon age 2 and countless other game before they were finished, MEA would not be the first.

I'm sure the dev's knew the game wasn't ready, but EA needed to meet their numbers for shareholders. Look at how many folks pre-ordered the game and purchased it on release? They figured they would fix things on the back end of this with a patch rather than delaying the game and missing their sales numbers for the quarter. That seen with Addison is indeed better and they even have her doing some head motion and body motion mannerisms, but her expressions are improved as well...i still think it could be better, but this improvement was profoundly better than her first iteration. I saw vids of the other improvements and eh...i gotta say i really didn't see that much of a difference in everybody else...Sara still has that *derp, derp* look to her....it looks like there have been improvements to the CC as seen in this thread...but i gotta be honest, I have seen some stellar CC Ryders before the patch....still good to see that this patch will improve the CC even more...most CC Ryders i've seen have rivaled the default Ryders, so Bioware has "W" in that column (Yeah the PC masters are laughing at me forthe CC) but i'm just a console peasant...what you'd expect?....

All of those revenues would have shifted to the next fiscal year, had it been delayed further. It is very likely the publisher had something to say about that.

Better... the first scene when you meet her and Tann is still pretty much the same, though, including her freaky eye twitching and Ryder's half-smirk-stone-face when mentioning their fathers death. So I guess they didn't manage to genocide ALL the memes, huh?

It's a great first start.
Addison occasionally jitters around like she's from The Ring but it can be smoothed out further down the line, I think. I don't know why they do that but it's noticeable when talking to people. And there's still the issue of noot-noot mouths and weirdness with Krogan and Turian eyelids.
But the eyes indeed look better and this is the change I was most curious to see for this patch. Just to get a sense of what they can do, I suppose.
Ya did good.
