At least with a pistol; haven't tried anything else. Just a dumb shadow of a gun in front of you everywhere you look.

Always did since launch. You are kinda holding the weapon in front of the light source which is on your chest.

I think it's easier to see due to the shaders. I noticed on the Tempest my shadow was darker and the lightning is less bright now. Sand sparkles now too.

The new lighting is great. It's one of my favorite changes, along with the rebalancing of Insanity difficulty.

It's better universally. That's part of why the faces look so much better in these comparisons. Holodisplays, outdoor lighting, flashlights-- all of it is now more realistically rendered. It makes everything under the light look better. Shadows are improved, too. It's an all around huge improvement. It's very noticeable once you get off the Nexus; but even on the Nexus there are some scenes in which the difference is striking. Once you notice the change, it's easier to discern even the more subtle effects.

Same thing happened to me, but that's been a constant issue. I hadn't really connected the two. My NG+ will be aboard Tempest, shortly, if I can quit getting so sleepy while playing.

Last night it jumped from the kitchen to the inside of Jaals quarters. This might not be good.

Some already hit pretty hard if you start at Level 1. As for dying faster, I guess that would make me happy if the guns weren't already all over the place and some of the decent ones killed things fairly quickly already.

Yeah, as mrtijger says, the foes are less spongy, and hit much harder. They may have reduced the hp a bit too much, but it's hard to say. I'm trashing all comers with a very basic build, and I don't think I've taken damage even one time in combat since Habitat 7. To be fair, I do have a lot of passives maxed, so that helps durability immensely. (The build is a Sentinel w/Remnant VI, Energy Drain and Incinerate active.) I expect further tweaking, since this seems a bit too easy. I'll reassess after completing a challenging fight (or one that should be challenging, at least.) Some foes have been updated. I'll see if I can find and share the link to the patch specifics. Link to the blog: blog.bioware.com/2017/04/06/patch-1-05-multiplayer-balance-updates/Most updates affect SP and MP. There's at least one change that is specific to SP only.

[Edit]NVM I see you found your answer, but I'll add it's much easier. The old pea-shooting Avenger was dropping foes handily. Their HP has been greatly decreased.

The blog post says MP, but even if that applied to SP the only things that look like they got damage buffs were the Sharpshooter and the Nulifier, and the latter had a vague description. None of the following is a real spoiler, but gives names of places and a unit which some might incorrectly consider a spoiler. tldr is that I could not tell difference in enemy damage output, but they did die faster. I ran the Kett base on Eos since I hadn't gotten around to it despite being near the end of the game. I could not tell much of a difference in enemy damage output if any, although it did seem like they had less HP since my Revenant seemed to be killing them a bit faster than it did last night in the Remnant City (Archon's Sword seemingly took eleventy billion bullets even with DA active most of the time).

Damn, I'm kinda pissed seeing as how I had to go to hardcore to beat Cardinal :////// Its not like I won't be able to get the achievement the second time around, but still a little triggering.

I could be wrong. They felt punchier, initially; but I'm progressing unscathed, as I mentioned. Previous to this update, even NG+/high-levels felt only slightly skewed off of base difficulty. In other words, it felt like difficulty was scaling okay, considering all of the toys. Now, I'm not so sure.

I started up a new game even though I haven't finished the game yet (one bro, one sis) and I found I had the same strike team for both. (I only have 3 BTW)

This means it's tied to our EA account, rather than game saves. This makes sense, considering the links to MP.
