So the For Honor community apparently said "enough with this BS" and made a collective push against the arrogant and haughty devs. And now they finally got a patch that made all the good changes and everyone is happy again.
After seeing the yesterday patch that increased the gun damage by as much as 5 percent I'm thinking - what about doing the same? Apparently in this world the devs are gonna shit on their fans as long as the community allows it. Maybe all we need to do is stand up and say "players are unhappy with the game atm and many are leaving - don't take us for granted and start paying attention Bioware".
I guess we would need a wide consensus that the current balance is bad - which I think we have - and some leadership. Veteran, respected members of the community should raise the flag.
The only other solution is to quit the game and come back in 6 months to see what changed. If the servers are still live by then.

The problems with For Honor were identified in the first couple weeks and the dev team simply ignored feedback for about six weeks, in which time a crapload of players got fed up with the blatant imbalance issues that were completely ruining the PVP experience and stopped playing. Andromeda's been out for two weeks. On the plus side we've already had a console patch. Give it some time though, but not too much longer. |

Also, the VAST majority of players who bought For Honor did so for the multiplayer experience. It's pretty much the exact opposite for ME:A, where there is a fairly robust single player experience. ME:AMP can be screwed up, and the majority of customers who bought it don't care, as it's something they haven't and probably won't ever touch. If For Honor's multiplayer is busted, well, that's almost every single customer who bought the game that is now going to be pissed. |

Doesn't matter, the majority of players don't read these boards or Reddit, and even if they did, these things almost never succeed. Poor impulse control and all, not to mention, uh, differing opinions. They've stated that the next update will focus on powers and weapons balance. Remains to be seen if they'll drop the ball again, but the mindboggling Mattock berf doesn't exactly inspire confidence. If they swing and miss with another balance pass, there will be no need to organize a boycott, I don't think.

Even firing as fast as you can tap, spread is going to make you miss more unless you're at point-blank. bsn.boards.net/thread/6444/quick-dirty-gun-updated-infernoedit: scratch that, the table assumes that the 450 RoF was actually real, but it was bugged to be lower, apparently. Not sure it's possible to know if it's an actual DPS nerf. |

It supposedly raised it, though we don't know what the ROF limit was before the patch, as it apparently wasn't what was stated in-game, so we can't really confirm it. But we have no particular reason to distrust the devs in this case. That said, I don't think many players are able to take advantage of the full ROF while retaining any semblance of accuracy - at least not without macros - so it looks like it was more of a nerf in practice. |

Speaking of semi auto guns. I rocked the Halberd and Sandstorm last night. Horrible.. especially the Halberd. Sandstorm was serviceable if EVERY SINGLE SHOT hits the head. Otherwise.. forget it. I'll let someone else fill me in on the Mattock.

Not sure if a boycott is needed. I for one have no desire to keep farming with a Vanq or melee. The sheer repetition will drive all but the most blindly devoted out. I do think the reddit boycott thread has them slightly worried. Doesn't matter to me, I can't enjoy the game until they make some drastic improvements.
