The Ninja Assassin, Or How to Angara Avenger [Build Guide]

Bump.

My AA is finally leveled up, and she really is not the 'ninja' I had hoped. So I turned her into a sniper.. *sigh*
Still a massively powerful kit, just not in the way I had envisioned.. her melee attacks are mildly.. confusing. She occasionally lunges forward, but when I really need her to, she does this awkward attack that has no range at all. (But all the melee is super clunky in this game, so it has to be like that for balance I guess..)

A how to vid on meamp melee would actually be greatly appreciated.

Got the kit a couple days ago n tried her out today. Jesus Christ she's strong.

Almost every other kit has 1 garbage power (sometimes 2!) while she has 3 fantastic powers. Actually have to think n make build decisions. Good vid.

I solo'd gold with this character the first day of MP at level 10. 

Granted it was on sandstorm with outlaw and I had upload 3 and devices 6, but there is nothing MYSTERIOUS AND NUANCED about mysterious VEILED ASSASSIN OF THE SANDS WHOM ONLY CAN BE SEEN IN THE DARKEST OF SHAD-




I'm sorry, there's nothing subtle or ephemeral about this character. it takes about 5 minutes in game to figure what's her optimal route; you stab the fuck out of things, that's it. That's all.

I haven't played her since except for a remnant gold with 'one life to live' attached to it in a fit of laziness, because she is 'meh this game' mode incarnate.

you take all the passives, you take all the passive evos that increase stabbing you take stabbing to 6 with all the evos that make stabbing stabbier and you are done. That's it.

If you never get to X, it doesn't matter, because stabbing is maxed and you've won the game. If you're a nice people you'll take stealth grid and help your mates, if you're an ass you'll take grenades and kill groups with the same speed you kill single targets.

She is a one trick pony and that trick is obliterating the map with melee. If the target is red and less than five character lengths away, you sprint-stab into regular stab, maybe shoot them in the face if they're armored, if there are more than two enemies and it's gold, you sprint stab into aerial stab into shadow stab, and then pick off the unlucky bastard left with a good ol fashion regular stab.

Done.

As far as im aware (please dont take this as fact as i havent extensively tested), avenger strike gets bonuses from melee enhancements, not power damage upgrades. It benefits from power recharge bonuses but as far as damage goes, i think thats it.

Synopsis please.

Does it compare to the Shadow a bit?

Just got my Avenger I to level 20, too. Guy in the video is crazy good with that Vanguisher, which I am not (maybe it's partly PC vs console?) but Talon pistol is very nice! Best advice I took from the video is level Strike to 6 (shield damage) first. Strike-target shielded enemies as priority (very good shield stripper, teammates will appreciate).

Video guy also poo-poo'd stickies, which I love. I figure since I'm humping ammo boxes for Stealth Grid cells, might as well take Stickies to 5 (capacity). Stealth grid to 4a, capacity too. Stealth very useful for revives, objectives, escape. Other points in Defense until such time as I get more rank cards (maybe never at this rate?)

I rarely use her regular melee (got stickies & Talon, why would I!?) Strike also very useful for re-positioning across these loooooong maps very fast.

TL;DR -- Love this kit!

Edit:  if I could fix one thing with this kit it'd be -- stop having her shout "Need Ammo!" so much. Have to turn sound way down and even then I check, everything's topped up? Why she's saying that or is it even my character?

I wasnt so much trashing stickies, i did mention it was good to have but i feel that other rank 6 evos are better

Stickies need maybe a detonate or debuff option to make them even worth considering not taking rank 6 in stealth grid.  6b alone makes 4 and 5 worth it.  Ooops, found the nerf.

Well, for me it isn't so much Stealth + Stickies as:  Stike, sticky &/or Stealth to get out of there if needed. Hey, she's the only character I've been able to get decent/competitive scores with (otherwise I'm bottom the of barrel), which speaks, perhaps, to the OP-ness of this kit.

I found that without cloaking, her regular melee takes 3-4 stabs to kill a full heath Raider.
And I am equipped with Juggernaut shield, melee mod on guns and melee bonus in passives.
Am I missing something?
