Reloaded to back before the fight with vampire guy and Hexxat survived this time. So, we went deeper into the crypt only to find....surprise! she was just some girl the real Hexxat, another vampire, mind-controlled into helping her. VampHex killed the girl, then tried to make nice with Ravelle. An Undead Hunter. Not a smart move, Hexxy. VampHex wanted the cloak looted off vampire guy's body so she could walk around in the daylight like a normal person. Uh, nope, not getting it. She got to stay in the crypt, permanently. (I assume if you give it to her that this allows her to join your party? Probably only if I play an evil PC, and maybe not even then if I've already met Bodhi.)
After resting at the Copper Coronet, we headed to the Bridge District. Solved the local murder mystery but the bad guys got away. Normally I go to the tanner shop before updating the guard but, being Lawful Good, Ravelle informed the LT of what she'd found. So of course he went off and got himself killed.
Next stop was the Five Flagons Inn. Checked out the play performance downstairs. Let's just say, Biff the Understudy needs more practice. Agreed to look for their star performer, Haer'dalis.
Neera made an appearance, saving a young mage from Red Wizards. She asked me to meet her somewhere later on.
Next stop, the Gov't District, to return LT's body to the city guard. Before that, got a job offer from one of the Cowled Wizards, to bring in one Valygar Corthala, supposedly wanted for murder. (hmm, this is going to be a tough one since I'm playing Lawful, but the wizards don't come across as exactly "Good" so we'll see what happens.)
Was then going to go to the Temple District but got waylaid by another poison victim, asking to be returned to his friends in the Docks. So, detour to the Docks! Handed over the guy to his (as it turned out) Harper buddies, ran into old "friend" Xzar, inquired at Valygar's house about where he might have gone, and ended the session parked in front of the Shadow Thieves building, since Yoshimo apparently has business there.
This sounds like “Why are the women in <recent BioWare game> so unattractive?” 😆 Neema’s reasonably pretty. I thought Natakas was reasonably nice-looking from the vids and pics I’ve seen. I’m a straight dude, so meh. I still generally know a good-looking dude when I see one. Tastes vary, always.
Kassandra would be an intimidating woman to be involved with, speaking as your average 21C dude. Natakas, at least, is capable. More importantly, he understands her life. I know none of that addresses his looks. I’m just rambling at this point.
Yeah that was very much my take on Natakas, the poor guy just looks like he is going into burst into tears sometimes when talking to Kassandra.!!!!
Takes a brave man to step to the plate. To see her for what she is than to be intimidated by her presence, influenced by rumours, etc. Syndicate
So I'm in Whitechapel, taking it slow. It's been some time since I play "old style" AC. It's not like Odyssey where I can go where I want, where the combat is lively and robust.
Miss Very Important Urchin tells me I have to do a favour; free the poor kids at a warehouse. Oh, fine with me lass. Tis a great task yer set me to. I be glad to do it, with or without a deal. I when she tells me to hurry up about it, she has an appointment. Evie seals the deal. The girl turns back to her important appointment; a game with the other lads.
So offs I goes to the warehouse. I climbs all over it, looking for ways to get in. Well here's an open doorway. I snuck in and the first thing I see is baddy. Offs he goes to slumber land. The kids I have to free are nicely marked. One group with another bad guy whose back is turned. Another one bites the dust. I see the very important boss walking to and fro, yelling at the kids / workers to git to it. Bad woman over there, two bad guys at the bottom floor and ... one bowler hat I missed on the upper floor. Can he see me?
I waited, just to be sure. Unfortunately, he did see me. A fight broke out, the alarm rang. Sadly, Evie didn't make it. The combat is definitely too stiff and boring. Is there no dodge or kick or whatever?
Reload. This time I cleared the upper floor before I whooped Bossman on his ass. Kids freed. 1/4 complete. After that I was a little confused by the little minigames that popped up. Kill the murderers. Catch the thief. Stop the bullies. I had no idea what to do with the bullies. They're civilians so there's no attack option so all I did was to keep bumping into them. Apparently that seemed to do the trick.
Ended up playing a bunch of VTMB. Man the memories at visiting the Last Round. And then the equal amount of cringe of my past self. Amazing. Found out that I've never played a male Brujah for long. Since that coat. Wow. Beanie was nice though. Made it to Hollywood but not ready to hit the movie scene yet. Stage fright ya know.
Then the usual fare of restarting over and over and over since my damn mind likes making up characters. Had a funny moment in the tutorial where I accidentally decked Jack. And he goes on saying that he would have been mad, if it hadn't been so damn cute. Which got a chuckle out of me. And could see his point extra well since I was a dainty Tremere lady that bout. Also found out that if I stop in front of npcs they do comment. Mostly "Get out of my way" or "I'll scream" but there were also some "What's the haps bro" and "Lovely weather" from my favorite ally goer. Lovely weather indeed. So grand times.
Forgot to mention I also recruited Aerie. For some reason, the circus tent quest seemed a lot shorter than I remember....only 3 levels before finding Kalah? That place always seemed to go on forever. Maybe because I waited to do it, so had some better weapons to fight shadows and werewolves? No idea. Anyway, now I finally have a mage who can make use of all the spell scrolls I've gathered up so far.
Progress with chapter 4 season req'ts. Completed a level T1 rift, killed the Skeleton King at T2, and earned enough recipes for the jeweler. Also took a side trip to the Vault where I landed some good loot.
Oh, I also discovered that the GR keys no longer appear in inventory, but rather as a crafting entry. So far I have 2, which is what I should have. Will probably play around with bounties on T1/T2 until I get even better gear, then up the difficulty for Key Warden hunting.
Well I can't do anything. So I went home to read email (it was weird) and taunt my ghoul-friend who is running round my apartment in her panties (thanks for the $500 )
So I go to the Museum. Go forward, see a door. Turn to the right, nothing. Turn to the left--
Fuck! What the fucking fuck! @_@ is that a fucking raptor?
It doesn't attack. It seems leaned against the wall. There is a note taped there.
"damned funny! You scared the crap out of the cleaning crew. Now would you put the damned raptor back in it's exhibit?"
Thanks, game. You're old and you nailed that jump scare perfectly
Oh yeah, that raptor was so perfectly placed. This game is so good in such things. The Haunted mansion - one of my top videogame levels ever - zero combat and just chills and scares all around. And the level at the top of the gondola lift... And playing as a Malkavian for a second playthrough felt like an almost different game. Too bad the final third of the game had to be rushed and is mostly combat.
Went back to do another run on Titanfall 2 campaign. Damn, this game looks so gorgeous. Apparently my time spent on Battlefront 2 and Black Ops 4 in the past couple of weeks (getting mercilessly slaughtered due to being new to online shooters) actually paid off. My skills are definitely up since the last time I played TF2. I used to have bit of trouble back then and went to Easy for some levels. Now I went from Normal to Hard as I was stomping the enemies at all ranges. Apparently human players are so much better enemies than the computer bots, who knew? 😂 Now I really look forward to Anthem and see if I can tackle the higher difficulties. I very rarely play shooters at anything above Normal. But the online meat grinder of BF2 and BO4 teaches.
I went back to BF2 to try the absolutely hilarious build I saw some players use - melee Sniper. It's a gimmick mostly, but at tight quarters it is so dangerous. I punched Boba Fett and Darth Vader to death! And actually this build gave me my best game results so far. I guess I have more to learn about shooting people since I mastered punching them down. Commander Shepard will be proud.

Also updated my XCOM2 and loaded my only playthrough from 2016. So many memories...
But indeed the ship scene alone was devouring 5 GB of my RAM and got too long to be loaded. So I moved my favorite squadies to the expansion. Much faster and extremely fun and cool
I got Luminous to the right level and unlocked both Alliance rank for him and Legion content for my characters on server. It's an interesting concept, where all characters above lvl60 create raid group that fights giant dragon even when you're doing something else. Depending on how much damage you dealt, you get coins, which you can spend for rank raising and in special shop. Aside from that you get bonus stats from your raid group. Depending on rank of your character, it can give more benefits to all your characters. It's either level based or job advancement based, seeing what ranks my characters have. I could check it to be sure, but who does that. Better to speculate!
Between dailies and some last minute determination farming, I gained 1 level on Demon. I'm in need of new totems for her, since the ones I have are crappy and only one of them gives strength, but aside of AH (where they're kinda expensive), I don't know where to get new ones. Meh. They're not top priority, so I'll buy them only as last resort.
Still no new mouse. I really want the one I had, but it's only available online and I have to wait for it a bit more
If three humans are in the room, there will be six opinions.
More Assassin's Creed Syndicate today. Learned that shooting a bullet in the general direction of bullies does scare them off, but the police are none to pleased. Still need to try a throwing knife, but so far smoke bomb seems to be the best option for me. Might also try zapping them, that might spook them.
On the Gang front I battled Edith and Bloody Nora. Edith get's plus points for using berserk darts in her favor, pity she ran in just as Jacob was pulling off a finisher, so she ended up being a freebie kill. Bloody Nora now lives up to her name. No big comments on that tussle. There was a cool grenade tossed by someone, but I felt she could have had more fun with her gun. But now the River and City districts are mine. Mwahahaha.
Main Quest wise, Evie played doctor and went vault hunting. Is it cheap to stun lock an enemy with a smoke bomb just because you can't pull off consistent counters? Maybe. Was it satisfying? Not really, but after seven failed tries I wasn't much hopeful for a honest success. Jacob on the other hand played with trains and explosives and had a grand old time. No smoke bombs needed.
Side quest wise I saw the moment Jacob fell in love with Mr.Bell. And I don't blame him, that man is a bag of treats when it comes to mayhem. And then got real irate at the first Karl Marx mission. Messed up a lot, but in hindsight I was probably just too sleepy for sneaky sneaks. Also think I'll be doing the fisticuffs side missions with Evie. Since Jacob's tattoo is nice and all, but I like her blouse more. So stylish.
And did you know? Henry is still gosh darn adorable.
More Diablo progress. I'm back to where I was last season, with only needing to complete a level 20 greater rift for my complete armor set. I already have 1 piece of the wizard set under my normal characters (thought I had more but nope) but I still don't know which to pick.
So, I guess I'll be rifting it for the next few days, both to grind for better gear and to gather enough keystones to even unlock GR20. But hey, at least if I die this time, I can be resurrected.

If you like Greenie, make sure you’re nabbing those little flower collectibles all around London. There’s a cool payoff for it. I think you can buy maps from in-game stores to locate them, but I’m not 100% sure about that. If not, Google is your friend. I recall feeling adequately rewarded for collecting both the flowers and the music boxes.
I turned my non-seasonal Necro into seasonal character and went to claim items from mail. I log onto DH, start sorting stuff... and realise I don't have The Shadow's Mantle set. MY BELOVED IMPALE SET! I must have forgotten to claim my mail when I converted DH into seasonal character mid-season. And now... it's gone.
So, I guess I'll be rifting it for the next few days, both to grind for better gear and to gather enough keystones to even unlock GR20. But hey, at least if I die this time, I can be resurrected.
It's always easier to risk with higher GR when you know you can make mistake. Good luck with progressing!

In ME2, I got kasumi, got my specter status re-instated, and went after the krogan. I think he's the last companion I have to recruit, before I'm interrupted my the illusive man. If not, I'm going to try and complete as many loyalty quests as possible.
Been living in the skies for most of the last few days in Ace Combat 7. It's almost a shame how well this game can capture my entire being and all my focus since the OST is incredible which I've spent significant time listening to today simnply because in a dogfight with an enemy ace there's nothing but him and me and there can only be one ace flying
"In times of lies, only the jesters are telling the truth."
"Miracles aren't free you know. If you wish for something good to happen a whole lot of bad stuff is gonna happen too. I guess that's how the world stays in balance, good bad, everything zeros out."
Been in sickbay for the weekend,(damn this flu virus going around) so I have been playing Dungeon Defenders. It's quite the change in what I normally play, but it has been very addictive. Got past the first Boss after learning the pattern, now looking forward to playing some more later.
Found out that voltage bombs do stop bullies. Stop them dead that is, would not recommend. But a well aimed throwing dagger can freak them out proper and is much less likely to alarm the police than the gun. So that's nice.
Learned that while assassin's don't kill civilians, horses do. Especially if you don't properly park them before exiting the carriage. Which is weird since you'd figure they'd have the sense to stop sooner. But nope, go for a good while more and trample any poor soul that gets in their way. They can also headbutt light posts and snap them in two. So moral of the story: Horses are dangerous creatures with murder in their hearts.
Took a tour around the City of London and also visited the Strand district. Holding off buying the collectible treasure maps until after all the districts are belong to us. Since it's nice to stumble upon something shiny while travelling the area. Also guessing each sequence unlocks another type of map and I'm eagerly waiting for the secrets one, since, well I like to listen to other stuff in the background. Found the payoff for the illustrations (pictures in the database) and beer collecting (Shaun gives them a swig and is so far very disappointed).
Did some more quests for Marx. Even had a bit of fun with one of them, because tossing explosives at other people faces is hilarous.
Jacob was mostly main questing today. Went on a small boat trip, then wrapped up his business with the Trains. Kidnapped a fun fellow and did an extremely frustrating tailing mission. Evie then cleaned up his mess per usual in her main questing. Didn't get to hang out with Henry, since I was keeping it for a session where I was more awake. So went and checked out a new side mission at the river. Sums up my feelings on the matter. Again as with the first Marx mission, it's probably more annoying since I'm tired. It did have some bright spots, big guns are fun and so are explosives. Removed the red from half of the map and will probably clean the rest next session.

Watched BurkeBlack at Darkside RP PvP just now. I definitely like the rules of Darkside.
* Ships with white sails cannot be attacked. * Ships can strike their sails to show they surrender or non hostile. It's up to the opposition whether to accept it. * Bases with players offline cannot be attacked.
He went on the chase after a Navy ship that visited his base. The Navy company is commanded by a friend and streamer, Classy. He didn't see the ship so he went to the Navy base. An ally scout reported no one was at the base so he waited for them to show up. Instead of one ship, there were three. The battle was interesting to watch. Burke's brig was rigged with speed sails so it was fast and manuever fast. He went after the ship his friend was on and dealt serious damage before his ammo and recourse went low. He sailed away. The Navy ships tried to chase but they didn't have the speed.
The viewpoint from Classy. Both stayed in their roles and yelled at each other as they turned about. Classy's brig sprang a few leaks and it was missing a couple of front panels when he rammed Burke's brig. There's a glitch too as the black pirate sails on Burke's brig wasn't showing in Classy's stream but it's displayed clearly in Burke's stream.
On the way back, Burke learned that a griefer had sunk all the ships at their base. Apparently the player became furious when he was ordered to leave or be shot at. He accused Burke of flouting roleplaying rules. However, Burke was RPing as a pirate and he didn't break any rules. Darkside server is more stringently run than the public servers so the chances of the griefer getting banned is very high. Additionally, the lost of the ships is also likely to be reimbursed to Burke.
Now watching Resident Evil II remastered over at CohhCarnage. It looks good but horror games are not my thing.
Yesterday was not my best gaming day. First Shadow's Mantle incident, then terrible lag in Diablo 3 (to the point where I couldn't finish bounties), maintenance in Maple Story was longer than expected AND it broke PIC input (personal input code) that made it impossible to log in without jumping thru loopholes (that worked only once, after relogging on another character you had to repeat it all over). So I was hoping for a bit of luck, but yeaaaaah, no bonus rewards from Alliance event boxes. Still, Cygnus pet is darn cute (I just wish I was playing when Neinheart pet was given away, he's one of my fav characters). After gathering new currency on Demon, I leveled both Phantom and Luminous a bit. Just a tiny, tiny bit. But enough to see this perfect NPC description
If three humans are in the room, there will be six opinions.
Finished the main bits of the river mission. It was alright, but didn't feel in the mood to stick around and grab the collectibles. Maybe later.
Since we got a bunch of skill points from that excursion, Jacob and Evie ended up leveling to level 9. Which meant better items and more killing power.
So decided to hit the Strand and see what mischief we could manage.
And we got it! Strand is our now Rooks! Whoop.
Victor gets a point for weapon choice and a pity point since he couldn't use it, since Jacob pretty much stun locked him with his attacks. Besides we were wearing protective soles, so he was doomed either way.
Then ended up doing a few quests for Dickens and one for Darwin. Have sorta decided to let Evie do Dickens since she likes the spooks and Jacob to do Darwin since they have that chemistry going on.
So Evie investigated some devilish thievery and visited a very spooky house. Jacob on the other hand continued his kidnapping past time at the train station.
Was thinking about doing another Dicken's quest, but decided to instead woman up and do the next main quest.
And boy, it was anti climatic. Well the quest itself was fine, quite enjoyable even. But was expecting a lot more skin peeling. And a bit more Henry too...
But the post cutscene made up for it. Because damn. You aint playing son. Every time I think I can't like the baddie more, he goes ahead and does something cool.
So onto Sequence 7. Didn't do any main quests, but scoped out Westminster and have done around 50% of the take-over missions. So soon the map will be mine. Mwahaha.
Since the map for the secrets hadn't yet shown up I figured it would pop up when I'd gotten around half of the collection. Was missing one so looked it up and lo and behold, no map. So was going to end the session there, but ended up looking up if the shops would ever sell secret maps. Didn't see a clear answer but saw something about pictures and stuff. So decide, fine, I check out the vault and see if it has any pictures. And it turns out you actually get a list with both poetic hints and pictures when you go there. So like, it was not supposed to be just pure luck that you wandered close enough to hear the music. Hehe. Boy was I stupid. Had also been wondering why they were marked as cameras on the map when you found them and not music boxes.
So yeah, a fun session. Next session will probably be about conquering the map, finding the final flower (which I'm kinda proud about having found all the others without looking them up. See Henry, i puts the effort in for you) and side missions. Side missions galore! Might also squeeze in Sequence 8, since I've read that you can do it whenever and from the description it feels fitting after the map is conquered. So fun times ahead.

Turns out I wasn't mis-remembering already having 2 pcs of the Vyr wizard set....I just had it with my hardcore character, not my normal one! I created a non-seasonal hardcore character in order to download all the inventory I'd collected with the seasonal characters and dang! I got some good stuff in there! Too bad I can't transfer it all over to my regulars.
Back to my current season wizard.....started with GR10 and then did two GR13s. Was able to upgrade a couple gear slots but I still don't feel ready to try GR20 yet.
Edit: I DID IT! With the help of an extracted legendary power that tripled my Disintegrate damage. Wheee! Set (still haven't picked which one) is complete!
