More Cultist simulator. Have a bad habit of restarting because things need to be RIGHT. Except I think this game is learn from your mistakes and move on with the next person in the save. So trying to curb it by loosely describing each person, going from A-Z, Z being when I can restart (unless the game forces me or I just give up.) Abigail the Aspirant did fairly well, had a small group of people, decent selection of lore but wasn't really moving forward. Eventually depression snuck up on her and ate her whole.
Barlowe the Detective was just a mess, since I didn't understand how his job worked and didn't really want to move into cult territories, except got seduced by some files and suddenly his fellow Detectives were using his evidences against his suspect to condemn him! WTF. Depression got him too, but let's just say I wasn't really trying to stave it off.
Charlene the Detective had a better grasp on her job and standing against temptation because of pride. Except it's not really fun. Eventually ended up missing the temptation check, but still never started a cult. But got a bit bored so started chatting to my adversaries about all sorts of thing, my notoriety (since I started visiting an occult club for fun), health, passion, my abs and just pretty much everything. So figure I actually got arrested for harassing the hunters. Hehe.
Diamanda the Physicists was where I stopped. So far she'd doing fine. Got a small following, mounted an expedition, doing well at her job, got a small collection of lore and so on. Granted I'll probably loose her to depression the moment I turn on the game again, but so far hurray for small victories. Then played a bit of Monster Hunter with my friend. Or well I played while she got interrupted by real life constantly. The game is a lot more tolerable after I figured to upgrade my weapons. And actually started hitting the monsters, not just smacking the air around them. That helped a lot. Currently being annoyed by the multiplayer aspect, since she's having trouble with an expedition monster and I see no way of joining her to help her. Bah.

I realized a bit too late I should have been keeping track of all the saps I won (regular, not unique quest item) gwent cards from. Finding the straggler random merchants/innkeepers is going to take some work.
As for yesterday..... Rescued Dandelion, tracked and killed a Wild Hunt hound, killed a werewolf (anyone know if Lilly - I think her name was - the werewolf was one of the kids of the werewolf couple Geralt gets help from in Season of Storms?), helped Roche rescue Ves from a huge mistake, and found some more Enhanced Cat diagrams.
Next up will be looking for Philippa Eilhart, Radovid's price for giving up Junior's whereabouts. Assuming I don't get distracted along the way. I've already visited the location where the hideout entrance is but of course couldn't get past the barrier.

Wasn't feeling well so I missed out the Oct specials for ACOD. Played an hour or so today. It's easy to get back into since I played so many hours of it previously. The only thing that I don't feel like getting into is the Atlantis DLC. I started an hour or so into it on another PT but I jumped straight into exploring instead of talking to NPC as directed by quest so I ended up clearing the zone which is pretty much a clone of the base game; clear forts, power up the staff (power up the spear in the base game) that I've no interest in, except that there are some harder mobs in it. I don't know if I would get back into the DLC. I mean I paid for it. *shrug*

Played a bit of Shadow of the Tomb Raider - it's my least favoured game out of the reboot trilogy, but still fun. Lara went to get some silver box and save some queen, but got distracted by a new tomb! Ships in central American valleys do that. Once the tomb had been cleared out, it was back on the main mission path! I'm sure he was a really good guy. But I needed his spikey boots. I freakin' hate these guys... Melee combat in this game is just...the worst...and they come at you really quickly. Thankfully, miss 'dentist approved smile' just let Lara walk straight into the temple! Where there was no silver box! After escaping from the temple it was back to Paititi to regroup and check out some stunning scenery along the way. This is my second PT of Shadow - I'm actually enjoying it more because I'm trying out new things. First time, I basically just ran through the main story (which is what I did with the first two games), but that doesn't seem to be the best way with Shadow. You get - for me - the most enjoyment out of doing the optional tombs and just exploring. Strange because Shadow's my favouriet of the 3. I do like all of them though. But yeah the Yaxil I think their called aer not pleasant to deal with. I plan to go in again soon for a second playthrough as I'd love to go in and play the DLC's as well as I'm yet to do tha tdespiet getting the Crof tedition which is now the definitive one. Because I learned that the DLC's were quite short I kind of held back on playing them until they were all out before I decided to go in for another run. I am looking forward to it though will probably go back in after I've played hte new Jedi game busy with the Mass Effect games atm.

Started another game of Fallout 4. Yes, at the moment I'm stuck with replaying games over and over. Don't have the finances to buy new games, plus I'm picky about games. That Outer Worlds looks promising as a game that has been released. Any how, Fallout 4. New mods, new life, new beginning. Actually I started last week, but no sense rehashing the same thing over. Just got to Good Neighbor, bought some neat equipment and found the Vault-Tec rep. Persuaded him to come to Sanctuary. We went our separate ways and then I heard some fighting by the Mass Fusion building. I forgot to clear out the guard up front earlier. Guess the powers that be couldn't mark him as essential.

Nope, and good thing that. He certainly lived longer than he has in any of my playthroughs. I feel like you should have been allowed to blow his brains out the moment he came to your door with a clipboard. Scumbag. *continues playing an empathetic and cool-headed Jedi Consular in Kotor*

Having learned how to hit things in Monster Hunter made the game so enjoyable I actually started a new character and listened to the info they gave me in the beginning. Whether it'll stick or not is another matter. But learned about bounties, deliveries and all sorts of other fun stuff. Then some Cultist Simulator. Diamanda is still hanging on, but for how long is anyone's guess. She's gathered a nice set of disciplines and believers, the most cash money I've had in the game and vault of knowledge I don't know how to use. Also managed to shut down the bookstore since she brought so many books from there. Hehe. She also learned some rites, which are tempting but risky. But on the other hand, she managed to slip into the decrepit state while I was worrying about her deceivers failure of disposing of tentative evidence, so feels like she's just one sickness away from death. So maybe risk it with her, learn how it works and use the knowledge with her successor. But learned how to move on in the dreams, or at least a bit forward. Now just need to find out where the heck mercy comes from...

"Let's go Skywalker on this academy."Time to go undercover as a baby Sith with the galaxy's two most bloodthirsty valets. Korriban won't know what hit it. Just escaped from the Leviathan where frustrating shit went down, and now Imma take it out on some younglings. (Took forever to set this up without a dock mechanic randomly wandering into frame.)

Well... I had the idea to play a bit silly game for a change. So I started playing Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition. And to my surprise I really enjoy that game. Why? - I really have no idea, but I do. Next to that game I am still busy with The Outer Worlds, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and a real "underdog": Star Ocean - The Last Hope 4K & Full HD.
Yep - Most of them are not what you call "top Notch", but at least the PC remakes are a bit better than the original. Nevertheless I have a fun time playing that stuff.

...Still in my same Banished game. I peaked at +1100 people and had to try real hard to keep them fed. It went well, and I learned about cold autumns (had six in a row) and maxing farmers per field to take in the harvest fast. Also got some new ideas about town planning. Stopped building houses (you control population with housing) and had a demographic collapse, going down all the way to 650 inhabitants, now recovering as houses became empty and available to young families. I waited in 100 years and built a bridge across a lake to claim the final two of all 'Achievements' that I care to get in this game (I'm never going to build a mine or quarry again so all which depend on that are never going to happen. And the 200 years? No thanks). Then I fought an outbreak of 'Yellow Fever'.
Now done. Will I play this save-game again? Don't know, but next will be a new start.

Really need to get on that boat to Skellige but keep getting distracted.
Explored Philippa's hideout. Found some monsters, owl feathers, burned notes, and a busted but maybe useful megascope crystal. Game gives me the option to a. take it right to Radovid or b. take it to Triss to see what she can get from it. I chose b. because, duh, want to know what the ol' hag is up to. See a video replay of Philippa talking to some other sorceress, not sure who, and then got into an argument with Triss over what to do with the crystal now. Decided to hand it over to Radovid eventually. But, at some point later on I looked at the journal list of completed steps to see a big red X at the bottom for not taking the crystal to Yen to examine! Game! You didn't give me that option to begin with! How can I fail a quest option that's not an option?! Probably wouldn't have done that anyway but that's not the point!
More distractions.....
Fist fighting in Novigrad. Geralt beat Durden the Tailor, a smartass elf, to become fighting champ of the city.
Horse racing at the Vegelbud estate. Won the first two races, need to go back for more but didn't want to tire out Roach. Maybe I can finally win something that's better than what I already have.
Helped Zoltan get his gwent cards and money. Opted to keep the cards. Also found a pawn shop where I won another card from the pawn broker. I think I'm down to 4 cards left to find in Novigrad.
Cleared out a 'haunted' house that was really beset by an imprisoned earth elemental.
I don't remember where I left off last night. I've got both Dandelion's and Triss' quests to do but ugh, don't feel like doing either. Really need to get out of the city again.

Cultist Simulator. Diamanda lives another day. But not without her struggles. Had a close encounter with Dread as she managed to wrack up 3 without me noticing. Managed to escape it with frequent visits to the Occult Nightclub while taking opioids like they were candy. Figure her physicist job helped with the dosages.
Then she lost her first follower (the first to follow Diamanda and the first loss) in the season of sickness, since I didn't realize the follower got hurt during her failed attempt to seduce a prisoner for our cult, so she had a wound which Season of Sickness considered free real estate and ate her. Feck.
Had to break down one of my lore to lesser bits since evidently Mercy is found in a level 6 card. Which kinda sucks since I had moved it to level 12 or so before I knew that, and permanently lost a passion card and a reason card in doing so. When I didn't have to. Not many kind words about that.
Then there was the trouble with the law. Diamanda has taken up eating her less important followers (since they seem to be shite at hunting humans and she needs the flesh). So wracked up a bit of notoriety for doing that. As you do. Which got turned into tentative evidence which her followers messed up in destroying so it ended up being pretty damning.
Either way, the Hunters managed to get a trial on us and poor poor Slee had to face the music. Luckily the gods were kind and he was returned to us unharmed.
At some point later on I did loose another follower though. Sybil botched up destroying evidence for the last time it seems. Which is a pity since I gave her a cool item to boost her stats, but oh well.
Also managed to waste all my cash money on living expenses and very important cult stuff, so Diamanda almost died from starvation. Luckily her follower managed to grind some cash along with her so she eats another day.
But it wasn't all tears and tribulations.
Managed to get pretty good at managing expeditions so her library got nice and fat. Even managed to explore all the areas in the continent group, so that's nice.
Found out how to start ascending into something bigger. Key is eating people. But I'm lacking in Lantern influence to (hopefully) go the whole way and kinda wracking my brain how to get the last 4 points. Hoping future planned expeditions pan out in her favor. Also need to figure out where I'm supposed to use them and if I'm even doing the math right. Hehe.
Did my first rite and managed to get rid of her decrepidness. Also got one extra skill and some more passion, so she's looking pretty fine in that regard.
So there were good times too in this session. And well it's fun to be at the edge and claw my way back. SO all in all, pretty fun. Also loaded up House Flipper and was delighted to see that I got the option for lady hands. In the grand scheme it's pointless, but it's a nice little touch. Also ended up doing a few missions and tidying up in the office. So good times there.

How are you finding it, it's RDR yeah? I am thinking about playing it after DragonKingReborn suggested playing it? I am most worried about the game mechanics, in particular combat. Combat is both annoying (I died a lot) and easy because it has that feature to slow time and auto-hit certain body parts like Fallout's VATS. Without Dead Eye combat can be tricky. Trust me, I know, because I didn't use it for half of the game. I couldn't figure out how...
Bandit ambushes were the worst. I was often dead before I remembered which buttons to push to defend myself, lol. You die FAST in this game. Also, some animal attacks are very deadly very quickly. Cougars made me panic until the end hahaha. Story combat is not a big problem though, imo.
Other gameplay elements were far more annoying to me. It's a flawed diamond, this game. It's an amazing ride. Great storytelling, stunning world. But gosh, the button mapping, picking up items, all the accidents due to the loose controls and everything... I yelled a lot. But I loved the game regardless.

"Oh, lighten up guys. Another six or seven speeches and then some autograph-signing, and you can all get out of here while Bastila and I find a quiet room in which to celebrate the wonders of Jedi mercy."I've always found it annoying how the dialogue choices get so polarized toward the end of the game. Everything is either "How dare you?! I am a servant of the light!" or "Bow before me, mwuhahahaha!" Either of which can an interesting place to roleplay from, but then the writing has to feel clever and coherent enough that it sounds insightful and zen or actually cold and intimidating, instead of clownish. I never ever want two out of three of my dialogue options to have exclamation marks, with the third being a question. The second game doesn't have the same problem if I remember right though. The dialogue there feels much more grounded, and there's generally more of it. Think I might as well jump straight into that. Lovely game in any case. Very nostalgic. Especially Tatooine, Dantooine and Korriban. Every RPG should have a section where you go undercover as an evil bastard and have to decide how far you're going to take it. I personally follow the "you must not balk" school of thought. My Reven left the Sith academy covered in blood and Force-fried corpses, taking an alignment loss from 90% Light right back down to completely neutral from all the backstabbing and torture and needless cruelty. For the greater good, of course. And he sure left with a better understanding of the Dark Side and its dangers. The temptation to let loose and take all your rage and bitterness and insecurity out on the world with whatever power you have. The intoxicating feeling of dominating others into never denying you anything again. Good thing he left no witnesses.

Loving it so far. It has more variety and is a lot more complex than the first game. It looks stunning, maybe the best looking game out there. Very demanding but the catch is even with most settings on medium it looks like other open world games on high/ultra. Not exaggerating. The story and characters are more engaging, and having base camp where you can go back to chat with your buddies and do favors for them was an excellent idea. Feels a bit like the Normandy. The writing is very Rockstar meaning on the nose and cheesy dialog sometimes. The things I don't like are the realism/simulation elements and the menu systems which are very inefficient and slow the game down. So yeah, highly recommend it. Exploring in this game is way more rewarding than any GTA. ...I should mention that it's also plagued with issues right now, mainly crashing. So I'd personally wait and let RS patch before buying. Mostly 'medium' settings.

The things I don't like are the realism/simulation elements and the menu systems which are very inefficient and slow the game down. Yes, RDR2 is the perfect example how too much realism is NO fun. It's cool the first few times to cook and brew potions but that got old really fast...

Some screenshots from yesterday.
Leaving Novigrad on a ship bound for Skellige Isles. Just once would be nice to not have a boat trip end in a shipwreck.
No time for fun just yet.
View from the lift up to Kaer Trolde keep.
Dressed for the wake. Both options were ugly but I think the blue one was worse.
Random shipwreck with a mini-quest attached. Not sure whose crest this might be....maybe someone from Zerrakania given the zebras?

That's definitely Zerrikanian. What a cool detail.

Exploring in this game is way more rewarding than any GTA Good enough for me, then.

That's definitely Zerrikanian. What a cool detail. Yeah, the details in the game are impressive. I was walking the streets of Novigrad and Geralt's head touched a torn flag or rag hanging from a building, and the cloth moved as he brushed past it. In DAI I would have been forced to go around such an immovable object.
Don't get me wrong....sometimes I still get stuck on a tree stump (or, Roach does, especially during a race!) or sink through a boat dock, but for the most part objects/people react to Geralt's passage rather than just blocking him. And, since he's usually the bigger and stronger of the two, folks tend to get out of his way.

I am in love with Death Stranding. And whilst I'll progress with the main story in time, the world and the gameplay is entrancing.
