melbella I was almost tempted to ask again yesterday but showed great restraint. Yay re the new PC Boo re the heat, I hate the really hot days unless there is almost zero humidity, Sydney unfortunately has humidity and 40c days are regular in Summer.
Yay re getting HZD I loved it and the DLC (Frozen Wilds) was as good if not better I thought. Boo re monitor height, mine was too low and it sits on two old phone books and some of my old Uni books. Yay re downloading MELE. Which will you play first? I actually thought you'd play DAI TBH? Good luck and happy playing, so looking forward to hearing of your exploits, seeing screenshots and hoping there is lots of excitement on your part re the new PC. EDIT: Do you have some good speakers or get some, they make such a difference IMO. Yea hyou'er kind of livin gin the wrong counrty if you don't like the heat.

So yesterday, a lot more stuff arsing around in Skyhold exploring it, doing war table missions after buying heaps of influence from the merchant and lots of chatting to everyone. I was disappointed to discover that I thought I'd saved everyone at Haven including Minaeve (I definitely saved her) but after saving her I think I must not have moved from the area fast enough or something as she was missing at Skyhold. Don't really see the point of saving them anyway they all get kicked out of their jobs except Herrit.
Judged the Tevinter guy name eludes ATM and let him live. I added a new MOD for new Skyhold PJ's and I think it is significantly lengthening the black load time screens everywhere not just at Skyhold or is that just a thing I have forgotten? Anyway did a quest fir Sera and let her kill the noble guy. Picked up quests from most the others and as the last thing I got to do travelled to The Fallow Mire with Sera, Cole and Cassandra. I rarely take Cole anywhere but the exchange between Sera and Cole was pretty funny but will drop Cole for Bull or Blackwall or maybe bring Vivienne along to wade through the mud and the dead. Pic's PJ's Went with the Chantry throne of which Vivienne Approved Judgement Day Sera getting ready to make wine It is desperately unfair that you never get to romance Scout Harding. Yeah I hardly am eve rsuccessful in saving everyone in fact I've onl yever done it twic eand in fact the playthrough I'm playin gis tha tsecond one as I was successful in savin geveryon eand that's mainl ybecause one of m ycompasnions was right by Adan whewn I wa ssavin gMinaeve. It is usuall ytha tbi ttha tcatches me out though in most playthroughs

The heat and humidity is very regionalised in Australia and very seasonal, Sydney is on the the coast and gets humid summers and how bad that is just depends on whether it is a low or High Pressure system domination over us. So the majority of the time the humidity is tolerable in Sydney, we only get a few really bad days in summer where there is no wind, high temperatures and the humidity is high fortunately. If you live up North (Darwin in particular but also Brisbane) the humidity approaches South East Asian humidity which is disgusting and it is persistent through the summers, I'd never live there. Down south like in Adelaide the air is dry nearly all the time and 45c can be comfortable but at night it can also get below zero in the hills. I loved living there.

Which will you play first? Most likely MELE, since while I've played the trilogy more times than I can count, I haven't played this version yet. I probably won't do much until next weekend, which is 3 days for Independence Day holiday. Also, it might take that long to download!

CK 3
Urraca II is now 74 and illness has struck her. I expect she'll go soon as she has gained the trait infirm. Meanwhile, the second daughter has hit 30 and is married. The youngest is 28. Two more years to go. Will Urraca II live another two more years?
Presently preparing to bestow two duchies on the two daughters before disinheriting them. I'm waiting for the alert of imminent death for Urraca II. She has lost her pet dog during a walk. There's suspicion a vassal and rival could be the cause of the missing dog.
Saw county troops sailing off to Ireland. It turned out a Jimena relative is married to one of the Irish kings. Thus allied by marriage, the Aragon vassal sent off her troops to aid him in his war. Idiot. I didn't stop it. There's no stopping it unless I stripped the vassal of her title. As it was, the king didn't win his war and his wife was captured but later released. I'm not expecting her to live long. She's described as being tortured while imprisoned and her health has suffered.
Tomb Raider
I installed TR again. With a RTX 3080, I kicked up the graphic settings. 😁 The system is remarkably quiet compared to the noise I heard when I play CK 3 which is pretty odd as I thought CK3 would utilize less of the of the system but it seems to be the opposite.
Lara died a few times since there's no prompt on what key to use. I had to look up the key bindings.
Summer Sales on GOG Good old games! I bought Hexen I and II along with Heretic as they're bundled and going for less than $5. I had a great time playing these two games back then.
To my disappointment, Star Trek TNG A Final Unity isn't available. I was hoping GOG have revived it like Blade Runner.

I must be very lucky 1 hour 15 minutes at most. I think it depensd on the interne tand the game but most tak eat leas t3 to 4 hours for me. Genreally I download and busy myself playing something else though. Quite often I busy myself b yplayin gsome Fifa or something given Fifa can keep me busy for hours easily. Sports games are very good at doing that which is partly why I play them. Especially as Fifa in general at least the PS4/XB1 and earlier Fifa's aer quite low spec and you can play them and leave th edownload going in the background. I do enjoy playing Fifa in othe rcases as well ads I just generally enjoy playing it but it does make for a great time killer while you wait. As I spent the time playing Fifa whilst waiting for my Forza Horizon games t odownload

Summer Sales on GOG Good old games! I bought Hexen I and II along with Heretic as they're bundled and going for less than $5. I had a great time playing these two games back then. You can get a modded version of Daggerfall for free @ GOG.com. It comes pre-installed with Daggerfall Unity it improves graphics, updates the engine, and squashes bugs. It also comes with a bunch of select mods that improve textures, sounds, and adds to the environments. Long time ago when I bought both Morrowind and Oblivion through GOG I got vanilla Daggerfall for free. I modded it with the mods in the bundle now and the game looked and played great. You can find out more here: www.gog.com/game/daggerfall_unity_gog_cut

Playing The Sinking City. It's a pretty cool game so far, mix between some detective and rpg elements. The story and characters seem interesting enough so far. Though the combat is absolute rubbish. Very sluggish and if playing on anything but easy the enemies are bullet and melee sponges. Also uses the poor system of limiting how much resources you can carry so you pass by lots of crates that would have stuff for you but you are already maxed. Wants you to make use of crafting and resources but caps you at very low numbers for supplies.

So yesterday went to the Fallow Mire and finished everything there and sent the goat chucker to Tevinter. Then went to the Hinterlands and killed some Venatori for Dorian, some Templars for Cassandra and found a book for Vivienne. Three mage party rocked. Then to Crestwood with Cassandra, Varrick and Solas. Will start that today. Yep that's me Lovely view The Goat and The Goat Chucker Flirting with Scout Harding

That version has more mods than my local Daggerfall unity install. Me too. Most of these mods are known to me, since I played a modded Daggerfall 2 years ago, but the mods I used were fewer than the ones in this package. I still haven't played this version. I assume Daggerfall Unity has been updated since I last played 2 years ago.

Finished Boyfriend Dungeon. It was one of my summer sale hauls, but had been eyeing it for quite some time.
It was so good. The music was so chill and the combat was pretty simple, but still spicy. Art was pretty neat too. Really liked the little character sprite and the outfits were very cute. Was kinda just in it to be inappropriate too weapon people, but the little journey was very sweet.
Liked all of the weapons but didn't try to date the tool, because I was amused by being all "Cease and desist ya creep". So was kinda disappointed in the second run that it actually wasn't that much of a date. But at the same time, it makes so much sense.
So yeah started a second run. Around half wayish through the story points I guess. Dungeons going by a lot faster now that I have an inkling of what I'm doing. Boss will still be kicking me around like a mule though.
Trying to switch it up a little this time, going friendship route with past romances and wise versa. It's pretty nice. Also kinda like how the game remembers some little stuff. Like if you said you didn't like dancing or tea. It's neat.
Do wish the game had more dungeons because they were pretty neat idea wise. But alas, no such luck. Maybe the upcoming DLC will add some more. It will at the very least add a smoochable axe, which I'm all for since one of the characters mentioned axe murderers and it got me axe-ing a forest of cutting questions.
Game had some passive aggressive puns I can only wish to live up to.

We Happy Few-We Fall Down
So I was expecting this DLC to just be short but it kept on going...and going...and going. First of all the nice thing it did. It did the very BioShock thing of having you go back through areas you just went through and seeing how damaged they were because of all the fighting going on and how destroyed things are.
THe bad thing though which is kind of a subset of this...I didn't really enjoy the final fight... at all. Had to find three of Johnny's bombs...which he put in Victoria's house funnilly enough... in order to blow up Hadworth labs. Thing is this fight was in the area I was in before having to jump around. There were lasers, and doctors, and infinitley spawning bobbies...which is annoying. Only had about 2 healing balms to help me out to so not like I actually had a lot of things to do. And well how do I put this...wife was sleeping during most of this but I finally got up and then her input let me stumble into the location of the final bomb. Emphasis on stumble because I am not sure how active the solving of the puzzle was. But Hadworth was blown. And had to run.
Then of course Vicky survives and then looks for survivors and finds them and they blame her and then seemingly all scamper off and away from Wellington Wells...abandoning the city once and for all. Which is actually an interesting ending in its own right and one that kind of works...but on the flip side with what money? This is driven home when ghost mom tells Victoria she can just go back to India...with what money? With what resources? Plus this is a fairly hopeless end to the story given there was a hopeful note with Arthur finding the kid in the ending of the base game and the hope that the Garden District might be able to hang on. However I don't feel its entirely unearned either because this was the big question going off in my head in the first place...'just how doomed is this society?' apparently very doomed.
So...this DLC taught on themes of duty, the truth, and selfishness or selflessness...and well how much sacrifice should be made to bring this about? Afterall it didn't escape my notice that Victoria's solution to the problem was the exact same one proposed by Verloc. Just that whereas he would've witheled the truth and either continued giving joy for as long as possible or lobotomized everyone...which might have gotten them all killed...Victoria's solution at least saved someone. Of course she doesen't get brownie points for it.

I was a bit absent in this topic. That doesn't mean, that I don't play games atm, but since it is still SWTOR and BG3 , I didn't feel like posting. In SWTOR I'm doing class stories mostly, since I don't like the gearing system and the grind for it. For that reason, I might not stick with the game anymore after levelling and finishing the characters, I want to finish. I'm contemplating playing Greedfall again, I started it once, but for some reason didn't finish. I think it was because of BG3 ( as a longtime BG Fan, I couldn't wait to play).

I’m very early in Greedfall and enjoying it. It still has some issues with combat design that plagued Technomancer, but the rest of it is surprisingly high quality. I can’t wait for BG3 to leave early access. Turn based is a little bit of a down side for me, but it looks fantastic. As for not posting much, there’s a bit of that going around. I certainly haven’t been my usual vocal self lately But it’s a combination of being really busy at work and the world generally being a really, really shitty place right now. Real news about DA: Dreadwolf will likely cause things to become more active.

I might give Greedfall another try.

CK 3 Settled the two youngest daughters into their respective duchies. I've also tidied the Barcelona duchy by returning the duchess the vassals that were supposed to be hers. Those baronies and counties were originally empty but once the king of Aragon was defeated and Urraca II took control, suitable vassals were found to take over. That they didn't automatically go under the duchess's rule was a bit odd but I didn't bother with it until now. One of the newly formed duchies did not have enough vassals but I couldn't find suitable candidates so a few counties are still under Urraca II's control. It'll have to be her daughter and heir to find the people for those positions. I also dismissed unsuitable guests at the royal court. I often regard the guests as free loaders and lotus eaters. 😂 They don't do anything since they're not courtiers except live and eat for free and of course, make trouble if they dare. For some reason, the heir's husband was not at the royal court. An invitation to knights were issued and a few appeared. I was pretty startled to see the heir's husband turning up. I've no idea he was not in Castile and no idea what's going on. It's as though he wasn't part of the royal family. Tomb Raider Game crashed suddenly after an hour of play. No idea what caused it so I checked graphic settings. I think it could be having full screen and exclusive full screen turned on at once so I switched off the latter. Then I decided to record a particular section. A minute later, the system froze and there was a loud hum like the fans going on full throttle though they're not. Overheat? I rebooted. The PC started normally. Again, no idea what's the conflict. I turned off V-sync. Played for two hours. Nothing happened. Maybe the system couldn't handle recording and game going at the same time which doesn't make sense since I've played game like Cyberpunk and record at the same time with no problems. Maybe something has started to wear down somewhere. Anyway, the QTE is annoying. Lara died several times in such events because I couldn't figure out whether it's E or F I was supposed to be pressing. When I see a reducing circle, I know it's F. If I see a hand, I know it's E but the icon can be misleading. Example, when the wolf attacked for the event where Lara has to retrieve Roff's pack, the icon looks like the hand icon but it's just a red circle. I pressed E. Lara died. Tried again. Lara died. Maybe I'm supposed to mash it so I did. Lara died. Ok, erm ... it's F then? I hit F for the next round. Lara died. *sigh* Ok, mash it. Lara lived. jeeezzzzz I've to remind myself Lara is not Kassandra. There is no jumping off the radio tower! 😂
