Deliver Us Mars
Finished the game. 10 hours total. I enjoyed it despite there being a bit of a hassle at the end that has to do with climbing. It's not a timed event, there is a bit of timed event (in one instance) like when the oxygen was running out and I was walking instead of running 🤣.
I dropped a few times at the second climbing part and then paused to take another look. I decided to try a long jump instead of climbing and that did it. Bypassed the climb and jump.
There's some hypothetical science on the part where a new technology could likely save the Earth. It sounds improbable but what the heck, the story and characters are well written. I'll take it. 😁 It's a game, not hard science fiction.
The ending is a mixture of good and bad / horror. It's what this series is. Can't have the good without the bad. There has to be a third installment because of the way it ended. I can guess the title too. Deliver Us The Earth.
Edit. It takes six months to get to Mars. When they left, the situation was very bad. It takes another six months to get back. I think by the time the Arks arrive, Earth has turned into D U N E.

I finally got my new internet working. They had to bury a new line to my house that replaced one that has been damaged multiple times over the years from different people not paying attention to where they were digging.
The first thing I did was download the Old Republic. I logged into my level 50 Jedi Guardian that I created when the game was first released and completely lost. My mailbox was overflowing with items which I think was gear from my followers and vendored it. I then started a new character and found out my friend was playing on a different server. So I decided to reroll and that was all.

The Witcher 3Its actually kind of strange how long it is taking me to play Hearts of Stone I feel. All I basically got to today was the beginning part of the quest where we get Olgierd's backstory on the marriage and some tragic sympathy points. Though I didn't get that far so not a lot to talk about. Though I think this quest qualifies much like the last two in its a really unique push for many of these gameplay concepts. In this case though it does not work as well, or at least the parts I played. Bosses with regenerating health are arse. Though I did get both the Caretaker and the wraith in the painting on one try so there is that. Ghost Recon BreakpointNeccessity is the mother of all invention and I am an idiot as per usual. Now I have been struggling to get the breath control set up set up just how I like it/ had it on the PlayStation but I thought that for some reason it was an either or thing...but on the very next page was the page for changing your controller set up. So I can start levelling up my sharpshooter no issue. Oh and I discovered they seem to have added ten more ranks to each class since the game came out. So that could be fun. And well let me just say though that this is a stupid fun co op experience. Probably the best I have ever had. Me and wifey are just having a lot of fun coorrdinating and taking down bases. Got a few of them today and well took down the Infinity Transport hub. Got a bit of a chance to work from opposite sides of the compound and then worked my way to her. Played through Ming Nui port because it had the Tac 50 and one of my favorite bases to take down. Things got more then a little messy because we were caught in the middle of the thing, sniping is cool but not always the most easiest for us to hit with the buildings in the way. We were still able to clear all the way through.

Finished Guardians of the Galaxy. Really enjoyed it. Id love to see them do a follow up that improved combat a bit as well as maybe have some more branching dialogue options.
Also not sure how they'd do a sequel. If Eidos would be able to do one under their new publisher. Or is it would still be under Square and they'd have to get a dif dev team to do a follow up

I'm into January in Persona 3 FES. I'm level 70 now, not sure what the expected level is for the endgame, I set a goal to get to level 80, we'll see how doable that is. I guess there is always grinding the Reaper, compared to Persona 5 I found it laughable how little XP you get for defeating it though. For short term goals I want to get Cybele to level 75 to unlock Spell Master.
I'm wondering if the Fuuka social link is broken, I haven't seen her at her spot in a long time. She was at rank 6 which is when the ladies catch a feeling for the PC, I starting hanging out with Mitsuru when that link finally became available. Not sure if these two things are related, I would've thought the game would notify the player in some way though if it was that. I know there is a jealousy mechanic in this game, but as to how it works I have no idea. I did have to the Kazushi social link reverse after cancelling a Sunday hangout with him, which was pretty funny actually. He calls to tell you how pissed he is, and finishes it off with a "just joking" line, followed by the link reversing, so I guess he was serious! Haha.
As I mentioned before I'm just playing on easy, so the companion AI is mostly just amusing. During one of the boss fights in Tartarus, I was using mostly physically attacks which drain your health, I think I had Yukari set to heal only. Anyway, as the fight is getting close to the end, Mitsuru (who has healing skills) instead uses a very minor healing item to heal me, I immediately was like, "what??" I look at my health bar, I look at Yukari's health bar, eh, don't tell me, she is going to heal herself instead of me now. Yep! What the hell! I'm thinking, why didn't Mitsuro just heal me properly with a spell, I see she is getting low on magic points (mana), haha, I guess she wasn't willing to stick her neck out for the PC.
"Here, have this piddly health item I'm not risking my magic points." - Mitsuru Kirijo

I'm into January in Persona 3 FES. I'm level 70 now, not sure what the expected level is for the endgame, I set a goal to get to level 80, we'll see how doable that is. On Persona 3 Portable I think 76 was the ideal level, so figure 80 would be a nice goal since it's a bit of a slog and not having direct commands sounds like a nightmare. Don't know how it works in FES, but if you were doing Elizabeth's quests in Portable it would ask you to get a bloody button from the reaper in January which would open up an area for level grinding. And suffering as well I guess. But level 80 is very doable there. --- Persona 5 Dancing in StarlightWas very kind with achivos so got them all. Found the songs easier than 4 (on par with 3) , as in I could clear most of the hard songs (with lots of assist items mind you) and kinda follow the beat only panicking for a few notes instead of the whole song. So that was nice. Had some good songs. Will Power was really solid and the other songs were good too, just didn't really stick with me that much. Think 4 had the most amount of great songs but 3's Deep Mentality really sticks with me. It did have the best dance animation of the lot. Yusuke was so smooth and was surprised how neat Morgana looked when dancing. Haru crush also intensified, great dancer and good with an axe? Be still my heart. Ren's I'll steal all your hearts was pretty terrifying but the dance was very graceful. Twins were so cute. And Theodore also made an appearance . Do wish female mc from persona 3 also got a song or two. But alas. The cutscene songs also looked really great. Really liked the one with the boys. Very smooth. Costumes were also fabulous. Morgana in a maid suit was very necessary. And got good mileage out of the clown noses. All in all had a blast with the games. And pic of Mona the Maid, because yes.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Did three bases today, well sort of bases. With more coordination between me and wifey as we work our way through.
I think I might've said it but if not...this game has some really great bases for you to go through.
The great Naval station was first up and me and her found a little perch on top of the area by some wooded mountain. Probably best sniper spot we've found so far. ABle to clear out most of the base.
More ditto for the second time actually probably cleared out more of the base before 'going loud' althrough I was kind of an idiot and didn't realize my weapon was on fully auto...so recoil.
Finally cleared out an incidental convoy because we ended up having to. Fast traveling for some reason always puts me 'lower' then her so she had the sniper overwatch, got a rocket guy. I was working my way around and shot up at a basic rifleman.

In between some Hogwarts Legacy sessions...
SWTOR
I moved along with my Sith Inquisitor Lady. She's on Voss now and it's the first time I do that place with a female SI. Some of the crazy stuff there is different when playing female (you get confronted by some stuff that happened previously in the story, because your little passengers are getting unruly).
GW2
I cleared another map on my Ranger. Now trying to decide if I focus on the living season 1 content or finish map completion with the character (she's at 75% already, but 3 of the starter zone haven't been done and it's most what is missing, I got like 6 maps left to do).

Finished with Fifa for now but likely to come back and do another season or 2 whilst waitin g fo rHogwarts and Forspoken to download especially as I'm thinking of reinstalling Xcom on my secondary drive as well. After playin gHogwarts and Forspoken I'll likely go back t omy comfort games of Dragon Age and Mass Effect for a whil eand maybe als odo another run of Midnight Suns given all the DLC's will likely be out by then. Busy with Forza atm but I'll need to finish playing them befoer I can play Hogwarts and Forspoken.

Been jumping around a little lately: Started a new campaign on Classic difficulty in XCOM - Enemy Within. Dam, that is different than Normal. I am in mid April now and despite the fact that I got "Excellent" ratings all over in the tactical missions so far, panic levels all over the globe are pretty messed up. And unfortunately, I wasn't able to start building my second satellite uplink before April 18th, so the dam thing will only be complete on May fucking 2nd. Unless a miracle happens, I'll loose both Mexico and South Africa by the end of the month. I don't really care that much about SA since Africa is my starting continent anyway but loosing the North American "Air & Space" bonus hurts. Anyway, then, one night last week, I somehow had the urge to install the good old Lands of Lore 2: Guardians of Destiny again (through GOG of course). You can barely look at ti these days but still, somehow it is still a fun game. Actually made it all the way into the savage jungle already so I did put some hours into it. I will freely admit, there is a lot of nostalgia involved since I loved the game in the 90s. And last but not least, a friend of mine bought Returnal a few days ago and we are "family sharing" our Steam accounts, so i was able to take a look. Played only for about an hour last night but the atmosphere and presentation are really cool. I do think I will suck at this game though, since it's basically a 3D bullet hell rogue-like and I already suck at those in 2D. Also, steam can be cruel. After one our of play, I got one out of however many achievements. That achievement: You died! Anyway, not sure if I'll continue playing it. Maybe for a little while but I doubt I'll ever finish that one.

Yeah keepin geveryone calm in Xcom is one of the hardes tthings to do especially eawrly in the game when your resources aer limited so there's always a good chanc eyou'll lose a country or 2 early on regardless of what you do. All you can do really is hope yo uget a mission in one of those high panic regions and use it to bring panic down because if you run a successful op in that region panic does drop. Yeah Returnal doesn't strike me as a game I'd like which is why I haven' t touched it.

Looking forward to playing Midnight Suns and trying out the Venom dlc (if I'm not too late since I am on act 3). Well you should be OK as I thin kthe onl yrule is you need t ofinish Act 1 before his DLC becomes active. I'm saving Venom and the others fo rwhen I next play. I'm thinking o fplayin again when I get round to playing my comfor t games again though I may end up playing befoer then depending on what mood I'm in. ATM though I'm tryin gto get round to trying Hogwarts and Forspoken out.But yea hVenom becam eavailable t opla ytoday I'm jus tnot playing his content yet mostly because I don' thave an active playthrough on the go. Bu tyeah I did see a clip of a an avata rtha tlooks simila rto what I have in mind for m ycharacter in Hogwarts when I make them. This is kind of what I've got in mind for my character given I think she looks kind of cute but I may use a different hairstyle I don' t know yet. But I am looking forward to starting.

Hardspace Shipbreaker
Went back to this to try to finish it. I restarted because there were a few patches.
The one thing I noticed is that the day cycle doesn't fall into night that fast. Or it could be because I'm faster in dismantling now that I know how to go about it.
The first ship with active fuel pipes came with four thrusters. I remembered in the first PT, it was a ship with two. I died in the first attempt. I thought I would get a random ship with thrusters like in the first PT but it remained the same. Rather than cutting the pipe joints first. I went for tethers on the engine core, then cut the joints. I had to move fast out of the way once the core was free and the tethers pulled it out, then down the thruster cylinder to get to the cut off switch to shut off the fuel to the pipes.
I managed not to lose any pipe on three thrusters but lost a couple for the fourth because I did not get out of the way fast enough and the engine core knocked me back. I was lucky I wasn't smashed against the bulkhead with it. It's hard to get back into the thruster cylinder when you're free floating and on the timer.
I remember that I'm supposed to pick up spare parts when possible. Things like; oxygen canisters, repair tool kits, suit patches on the ships. There're also items like stuffed toys and posters. I also tried to pick up floating debris like wires, tools and food but couldn't. They don't register at all when I tried to grab them with the grapple gun no when I tried using hands.
Now I've been given the small ship and supposed to fix it up with whatever can be picked up on the ships to be dismantled. I hope when I start the next session, items like a coil of wire can be picked up.

A lot of the items you need to fix the ship, you can get by ripping them out of electronic systems like computer consoles and such. The ship repair menue in your cabin will tell you which repair part you can find in which ship component IIRC, so you don't have to search randomly. Be aware of two things: 1) Ripping stuff out of computers wrecks them and thus they are no longer recoverable on the barge. This looses ship worth. So make sure not to scavenge too much in one ship or you'll loose out on salvage goals (which you always want to fulfill as much as possible). 2) Live computer banks still hold charge. Trying to scavenge from them will damage you. Try to deactivate the ships electrical first (by doing the thing with the 3 breaker and then removing the electrical gizmo on the outside of the inner hull). Once the electricity is out, it's safe to get your stuff.
Also, on pretty rare occasions, they will just float around freely in the ship, so keep an eye out for those as well.

I've been trying to complete the story mission where Crossbones has a bomb, and I have to delay the activation each turn while trying to fend off Crossbones and his hydra goons. I must've ran into a bug because it gets to a point that none of the goons carry the cards to delay the bombs activation anymore, and causes me to lose the mission. As for Hogwarts Legacy I've been playing it since release, but I don't know how in depth the character creation is, since I picked the first default male.

The Witcher 3So feels weird but had a bit of a marathon after feeling 'stuck' the last couple of days. I will spare everyone the disgusting metaphor which occured to me. Scenes from a Wedding. Ooh boy got to the good stuff. For a series which basically started off with Geralt talking about not dealing with the lesser evil, this series does seem to deal with taking the lesser evil a lot of the time. Though in this specific case it was kind of a grand example but it still works. Just the story...oh now I remember what elicited that thought hold on! But yeah first going through it and this story does give you at least a good job of creating some sympathy for Olgeird. Granted as we find out later he did kill his brother, or get him killed, so kind of the original sin as it were. But there was a lot going on and watching him try and break the pact as he realized what was happening to him and still had at least some regret at what he had done. Which then brings me to Iris because its a bit of an interesting fly in the ointment...literally...but there is a sort of implication there that Olgeird tried to make her immortal like he was as well. Though the specific nature of his wish, as he tells it later, is that he would 'live like there was no tommorow' but I think during the quest he did give me the implication that his pact with O'Dimm kind of included Iris as well. Now because it is Gaunter O'Dimm we are talking about didn't give him quite what he wanted because that would've been too easy...though watching your wife's heart turn to stone in addition to yours might have also been tortorous... but anyways keeping this in mind it makes a little bit more sense how she was able to live in her dream world. That it was just another bit of Gaunter's joke on them. And then the choice, keep the flower, or not. Because, in relation to what I was musing about earlier in the DLC about how I would resolve the DLC with Olgierd...and well eternal torment. THat is what Iris was facing even with the flower. So, despite it all Geralt, in the interest of consistency and letting sleeping wives lie...let her lie. Found it a bit ironic to and a bit unfortunate in context that Geralt does get all this way in there and sneaks past the guards...only to murder a bunch of witch hunters. I mean they are witch hunters but I doubt Shani would approve. Also the sitcom cone of silence was in full effect here. Still Witch Hunters. Aestetically the chat with the Prof is quite amazing and its very much like the chat with the mage in the Temple of Dumat in DAI, very, very, very, similar vibes. Just for the most part in listening to the dialogue it actually just rehashed a lot of what you knew already, also another refernence to YEARS, but then the bombshell was dropped that Olgierd got Vlodimier killed, and then of course the hints about how to ultimatley stop him. And the climax to this DLC is just pure perfection. I guess not much more to say on it. For GLory! For Touisant! For pate apparently! The first battle of Blood and Wine with the bandits gave me DA 2 flashbacks. That was a LOT of bandits. And then essentially dueled with a Bruxa. I must say granted there was the mysterious nature of the killings and their brutality, but just two of them, and then Anna sends for Geralt? The timeline and scale, once more does, not seem to match up. Doubly so since that Bruxa I chased into the cellars wiped out a whole cordon of guards plus if she was able to kill Geralt to...

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Oh, uh, it is The Senate vs Yoda and a guard who decided they had power to match good old Palpatine. How will The Senate fight them off?

As for Hogwarts Legacy I've been playing it since release, but I don't know how in depth the character creation is, since I picked the first default male. Ideally in each turn you only need to focus on getting the bomb card first and then throw everything at Crossbones don' t worry abou tthe rest of the goons because it's only when Crossbones goes down in that mission does it end. Th eother goons are there mainly to distract you and are really only useful if you wantt otoss them into Crossbones to cause him more damage. Essentiasll yfo rthe purposes of the level Crossbones is your target. Nothing else really matters as it's basically the Crossbones equivalent of the bell tower mission with Venom wher Venom was the main target there. Only thin you have to d ois take Crossbones out befoe rthe bomb goes boom. Admittedly it is easier said than done but it is doable The Hogwarts CC looks pretty in depth to me even more so than Midnight Suns tbh. It looks like it has a lot of different options if this vid is anything to go by. But Midnight Suns's CC is pretty basic because other than the hair there isn' ttoo many options. Having said that though I think Midnight Suns is the first time Firraxis ever had a customisable protag in their games so they didn' t do a bad job. As there's still enough optoins to make a variety of different Hunters. You can unlock moer options too i fyou do any of the post game missions. Generally though I don' think I'd use those options though as they'd mak ethe Hunter look a bit too cartoony for me. But it is nice to have those options in theevent I do wantto use them to do something different.. I do find it generall yhelps t ohave an idea of what you want to create befoer doing it though. Like say create a cute looking blonde or something which is basicall ywhat I'm thinking for my first character at Hogwarts.
