It was one of the war table quests and this one let me actually go to it. It wasn't until speaking Hardin (who is adorable by the way) that I found out it involved the Jaws of Hakkon. But yes I will save all the dlc until right before the end. Wrell all the DLC's are on the war tabl eand i fyo uhav eth epoints you can unlock them earlier if you wan tit's jus tinadvisable to. I know I was just not aware that was how we start the dlc's in Inquisition via the War Table. I will keep an eye out for any of the other dlc's before my character is actually ready.

The game recvommends t ob earoun dLeve l20 befoe rconsiderin gdoin gthe DLC's as the enemies there will kick you rass i fyou'e rnot an dth ewildlife in particula rcan be quiet nast yin tha tDLC. Basically the DLC i sbest playe dtowards the end o fthe game I normally play the DLC's between th eHawke/Celene quests and the Wha tPride has Wrought on ewhen yourarm yand Corypheus go head to head. Tha tis usuall yI find the best time t od othem. So unless you're in the upper teens I would as yat leas t17 or 18 you'll likel ystruggle. The DLC's are generally the toughest parts of the game. I would argu ethe ymak ethe rest of the game pretty easy by comparison. It was one of the war table quests and this one let me actually go to it. Descent enemies scale with you so you can do it anytime. I like to do it around level 16 or so, when Red Water in the same area is available. Jaws of Hakkon enemies are minimum level 20 and are tough if you aren't prepared, so I leave it for post-ending. Trespasser can only be played post-ending, and locks out everything else, so make sure you have completed all you want to do before starting it.

I always do Jaws, Descent and then Trespasser but I have heard there is a point in DAI earlier that it makes more sense to do Descent. For me Descent is the hardest one due to the boss fight at the end so I put it off.

That's one reason I like to do it at a lower level - the enemies aren't as tough. However, the extra mark powers you get in Jaws are useful in Descent, if you want to do them in order of release instead.

Made my way to Devil's Thirst - explored the ruins, found some cups, rode a Tallneck, met up with Nil again and killed some bandits. Nil is interesting, and his look makes me think Aztec. I think Aloy should be nicer to him though. Tracked down Sona, cleared a killer camp, and found info on where their main base is located. Then went to Mother's Crown and picked up a bunch of new side quests - lots of find my whatevers but also another trial and the first cauldron - and more info on how to get to Meridian. Knocked over some more dummies so I am close to getting them all - only 3 left.

About 20 hours in to FFVII Rebirth… not feeling it at all. The open world offers little, the combat is atrocious, and the minigames so far are pathetic. I had high hopes after Remake, but I should have known better in this modern gaming era.
Maybe the story can salvage it, but it feels off already. These fucking long dev cycles have to stop. Four or more years is just too far removed from the predecessor to feel congruent.

Bought Romancelvania on Steam. It's a light hearted tongue in cheek game that is a mix of the old Caslevania games and the Bachelor tv show. I grew up playing Castlevania I stopped after Symphony of the Night then came back when The Lords of Shadow reboot was released. I have never seen an episode of The Bachelor but I know what it's about. Anyway the game is about a lovesick Dracula who can be either male or female. He/she has spent the last 100 years depressed and isolated in his castle. He has been thrown into a dating reality show produced by death. So far I've met Vess a disillusioned genie, a funny incubus named Brocifer, and a disembodied Medusa. There are many more to meet. Yeah the game is not meant to be taken seriously.

Despite loving the original game on Playstation One I was not feeling the remake. Don't get me wrong I love Tifa, Wedge, Biggs, and Jesse I just could not get into it. The combat I had no problem with. The problem is I bought both the Remake and Crisis Core together and forgot to get a refund.

I think my skepticism of Remake helped me… I expected nothing good and got an amazing sequelish game with an engaging story and great combat. Not only did I get hyped for Rebirth, but the influences of modern gaming are all over Rebirth… padded open world, complexity/difficulty fetishism, and graphics over everything… I should have know Square Enix couldn’t help themselves, but Remake and Crisis Core memory wiped the 23 years of shit games from them I guess. Time to go replay the old Squaresoft gems… fuck I miss that studio. Well, I miss many of those Golden Era studios. Gaming is fucked.

"Got a job for you, 621."
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Played through the game and got to the "Liberator of Rubicon" ending. Man, I've really missed the crisp and somewhat challenging gameplay of a FromSoftware game. I really enjoyed the combat and tinkering with my armored core. Heck, I probably spent hours and hours just picking colours and paint patterns.
My favourite configuration is a medium weight build with MIND-Alpha parts except for the legs where I picked the MIND-Beta reverse jointed variant for extra jumping power at the cost of some stability and load capacity. Two laser handguns and some shoulder mounted missile launchers with different attack angles worked just fine. I know that's not fully min-maxed but looks are important too.
This is one of the very few games that made me want to go back to it immediately after the ending. Off to New Game+!

Just bought Enshrouded, breaking my no Early Access rule. I watched a bunch of amazing base videos that triggered me hardcore. Now I have to build something amazing too. Looks like a base builder's wet dream. Most impressive tools I've ever seen. The overgrown style of the game is 100% up my alley. I'm salivating just thinking about the endless possibilities, lol.
Updated my drives. Pushed the resolution to 5K, let's go!

Far Cry 6
Fast Travelling to a base in the middle of the air and using the wing suit is the best way to travel around Yara. Always.
Some oddness in trying to take out bases today and...well some oddness lets just say. Unlocked the building that gives you computers at each site and then upgraded it to its maximum ability so definitley wanted to go in and test them out. And its kind of interesting where they stick them all. But the first mission took me to a telecom site that Castillo was using to spy on Libertad and other Guerillas. A hostage was there. Started sniping across the area where I can...and of course they didn't take kindly to that and started to bum rush my position. Didn't see me, apparently, but it did make the 'you have been seen' music and then started taking fire. But still was able to get to the other side of the line and did some more sniping. Was able to get the hostage out...because I was patient. After it had calemed down for a second I noted that the guy I was hunting was probably the last person in there...which would have got the base captured without getting the hostage. To my surprise it actually tripped all three objectives. Next up though again similar circumstance. Started off but wasn't before too long where they just magically figured out where I was and started charging me. I started sneaking around, again with the desire to get the bonus objective to, and leaving Oluso behind to cover me. Well I started to sneak in but then 'Oluso is down' popped up on my screen so...not being as confident as last time...I was starting to book it to reassess the situation. But then I heard a pained scream and the cinematic triggered of me capturing the base. Think they killed themselves. Only two of the objectives were taken.
Only story mission I got to was the basic first one with the Legdends. Hunted down a medical supply cache that El Tigre had gotten his hands on, more or less, had to go and rescue it from the FND who shot the thing down and bumped into La Moral. Not much to say here other then gunning down waves of bad guys but find it a nice little story beat as Jonron and La Moral does not quite getting along with the Ledgends. Jonron is especially ironic here considering how happy she was to meet them...for about five minutes as both Lucky Mama and the...not El Tigre one...gives her the cold shoulder. ANd points out that they should learn how to fight the war correctly since a farmer was caught in the crossfire. Not exactly which crossfire but point well considered. This game does have a few interesting things to say about revolutions.

Re Nil..................................... wait for it............................
Not sure I understand what you mean by this? I have played the game before so I know Nil's story.

You ever play a game...or have a scene in a game where you're glad you're alone in a room?
Because I ah...may have picked up a Visual Novel that was...slightly more spicy then I had anticipated It's called Bunny Bond...and before someone asks, no it's not about bunnies...or furries (because if it had been I would never have bought it) (though honestly, with an 18+ rating I should've expected it, but still ) Seriously though...it wasn't a bad game, it just had more...nude in it then I'm usually comfortable with
Did I enjoy it? Yes...will I replay it again? Not sure... I think I'm more comfortable with tasteful fade to black where I can imagine on my own what does and doesn't happen, instead of having it on my screen plain as day

I didn't kill him in my game and he seemed a bit disappointed. I think he showed up for the final battle but I don't remember for sure. It will be interesting to see if he's been up to anything besides killing bandits. Only 2.5 wks to go!
As for today, I'm trying to clear all the side-quests in Nora land before moving on. Cleared the Sigma cauldron, which didn't seem to take as long this time around, even though it is the most elaborate one due to it being first. Afterwards, met up with Sona and crew to take out scout camps and finally raid the main camp. Same as before, could not for the life of me see where the blaze stockpile was while on the ground so ended up taking out about the half the camp on my own before I finally found it and blew the place the sky high. Later ran into Sona in Mother's Crown and was asked to deliver some arrows.
I've found all the cups and vantages in the area, and 1 banuk figure. Not sure if I've found all the camp fires. Some don't show up unless you are near them on the ground and since I fast travel a lot, it wouldn't surprise me if I missed some. I'm probably also missing a lot of the datapoints but since I'd like to finish the game (maybe not Frozen Wilds unless time permits) before HFW releases, I'm not going to spend the time to find them all.
The way is clear to get to Daytower and head into Carja territory. I think the hunting grounds is first up though since it's on the way (and it has dummies I need to knock over).
