Not sure the Spear of Leonidas does any damage if that's what you mean, I think it's there purely to act as the magical component that grants the magical abilities etc. and a fantastic graphical enhancement in combat.
Please don't let me have been naïve enough to have missed a joke with regards to the "Hidden head spear" comment?????
The spear is the "hidden knife", no? Well, it's not really hidden, but you use it like one...sorta. The stealth kills in Odyssey are a lot more brutal than in the other games.

So just defeated the minotaur but missed a jump the first time and had to restart. On the second attempt Ardos's dad's rings wasn't there, this hasn't happened to me before and so I tried it a third time and it wasn't there again so gave up and finished the quest.
Does anyone know if the game punishes you for not making it through first time by the ring not being there?
- An untitled tie-in novel has appeared on Amazon France, which could give us some idea when the next game's coming out... (Assuming it's not a fake posting)
It's a bit suspicious as it doesn't list the writer (which is the same person for all AC games novels but one and with that release date any writing is already finished). The title doesn't have "untitled" in it which kinda suggest it's for the first game instead of an untitled sequel.
There is also no reasons to list the novel in an incomplete listing before the game is even announced. Oh and going by Odyssey related novel, this would mean the next AC game release in October...
NESbot @nesbot_feed Ubisoft China is teasing an announcement for today, 6AM (PST) (Most likely New Assassin Creed title)
Jason Schreier @jasonschreier Assassin's Creed Odyssey was so damn good -- stoked to finally see Vikings (although this may just be a dripfeed teaser with a proper gameplay reveal next week)
So the domain Assassin's Creed Valhalla (Assassinscreedvalhalla.co) was registered today by the company who register all of Ubisoft AC games domains.
Interesting choice. A clear Isu connection with the nordic gods, but I wonder if we are going to see Valkyries, similar to all the death land (Duat) symbolism in Origins.
I fell out with Unity, but I adored Syndicate, Origins and Odyssey.

I would be looking forward to this one, but Odyssey's DLCs ruined any chance of that so now they need to really sell it to get me back. And by sell, I don't just mean empty words and false promises like Odyssey's turned out to be.
I really hope they go with at least two or even three main regions rather than one map. Ideally Scandinavia, England and France since they were the major players at the time. The political intrigue alone could be epic. And since we know they bring in the supernatural, I damn well better see valkyries and mountain trolls.

I can't believe they really went with "lets watch Bosslogic makes art for 8 hours straight" kind of reveal. It's both fascinating and boring at the same time.
Looking at the image, the head of the "protag" seems to be cutoff...or that's a very high fur mantle. The leak/rumor the game will again give you a gender choice again seems to be right (as was the setting and other stuff).
And the shield holding "viking" on the right looks like a skjaldmær (aka a shieldmaiden).

She definitely is. Before the shield was added the person was without a doubt a female.
Seeing the headless protagonist has got me wondering now, especially since they're facing us. As unlikely as it sounds, could there be a Character Creator in this game...?
